Food Lion

This Food Lion location was actually very well-stocked and fairly clean. The only main issue here is that there are so few employees working the registers. However there is a small self-checkout area (emphasis on small). But, overall as it was not very busy during my visit I came in and out fairly quickly!

This is a fast way to shop every time I been in there, I what I want and get right to a cashier or self checkout and they all are friendly

Great store, could have better produce. Produce is still wanting. The chop house burgers are awesome. Great price, fast cooking and delicious

The Food Lion on Military Highway is without a doubt one of the better stores I've visited. The lady in the meat department seeing a meat package leaking & offering to rewrap without me asking, the variety of other foods no one else has. Like Grape Pop tarts. My husband loves them, haven't been able to find them, & there they were. The employees and customers alike were so friendly and polite. It felt like visiting that country store because of the closeness kindness and manners. How refreshing!!

Great trip to the grocery store. The store was clean and organized. I was able to check out quickly as the cashier was friendly, courteous, and efficient. I was impressed that several lanes were open for check out.

This is the cleanest, and most organized store I have seen in Norfolk. The staff was amazing and very helpful. I will definitely be back... worth the drive, as I have one only 5 minutes away? Not the same!!!

sales 3 twelve pack's for $9 I got 2 brisk lemon sweet tea and one ginger ale. Food lion is my favorite store to shop at. Thank you foodlion

WOW WOW, Richy ( I believe it was, had a gold grill, GREAT personality) is the NAME to know… I went in looking to get money orders after waiting for a few minutes the manager came up to me and said “it’s going to be a little bit” because they are changing our drawers. I responded with “that’s OK.” But after seven minutes of standing there and the manager just glaring from a distance. Richy came out of nowhere from his lane and said can I help you? looked right over to the manager and took initiative to say “I’m going to get him on my aisle.”

I was so shocked because I thought you could only do money orders from that customer service spot.

**This man needs to get a pay raise or promoted to a manager**

The way he was taking initiative and rushing over to the customer service register and then back to his lane the whole transaction with him took maybe 70 seconds. I will frequently visit this supermarket now and check in on him to see if he got promoted or not!!

The store manager was so helpful. We didn't see the item we were looking for and I know how busy he was. He stopped and kindly helped. The store stays clean. You don't have to pick over the fruits and vegetables, they always look good. Staff is very helpful, respectful and nice. And the chicken OMG I don't know were they got that recipe from but we LOVE it. And it's always fresh and juicy 😋. Food Lion is always my first stop when grocery shopping. I always have my reward card on my key chain or in my purse or on my phone..and I save alot of money. That's real talk. Thank you Food Lion, I'm your customer for life.

I love to shop at food Lion southern shopping Center is where I go most of the time I guess my salad and vegetables there most of the time

Ja'Nae is a very pleasant and courteous cashier. From her greeting to how she bagged the groceries and even asked if how she bagged them was okay. And it all appeared to be her natural demeanor. BIG UPs to this young lady and all of her future endeavors. 🥰

I appreciate every public service employee and especially the ones that deal directly face to face with the public! My hats off to you, thank you for putting food on our tables, even the ungrateful ones that y'all have to deal with! Hardly any of us could live without you all! I can only hope that corporations and corporate CEOs and everyone that has more money than they know what to do with are sharing something through these hard times because if it wasn't for these hard working employees that live paycheck to paycheck weren't so desperate to pay bills and feed their families or take on a 5 year payment for a home repair or auto repair where would all your money come from. Money makes the world go around and money may not bring them happiness but it sure as he'll helps! Reward loyalty because its the right thing to do!

I had a pleasant visit today 6/11/2019. My cashier Andre was very personable, he stated that this was his first job. I asked to speak with the manager. I wanted to share how great he was. 😘💯😘

Always love stopping by after a trip to Target. This store is large, organized, and always clean. Probably the largest variety of grocery in the area and for much better prices than Harris Teeter.

Food Lion is a good place to go food shopping. I've been to four different Food Lions in Virginia Beach and Norfolk Chesapeake and Portsmouth Virginia

I absolutely love instacart service. The communication with shopper via text is very convenient. The only thing to perfect it would be knowing availability of items shopped before checking out.

Love the store...but they need to start opening more lines and also the guy that buff the floors is going to end up getting beat tf up or have yall in court because he act like he don't see customers he just roll the buffer right in front or behind you no excuse me or nothing

I do the bulk of my shopping here especially for meat, fresh vegetables and fruit and deli meats and cheeses. Very helpful and friendly staff, very clean and well stocked. My favorite supermarket by far.
