Residence Inn by Marriott Norfolk Downtown

Check in was awesome. The front desk staff was very friendly and breakfast was good. The breakfast staff made you feel at home and were very attentive. I recommend this hotel if you visit Norfolk. Only one complaint, you have to pay to park. I will still go back 🙂

If you book here, make sure to find DeeDee, one of the breakfast staff that welcomed our family. To say she was amazing would be an understatement. She was kind, funny and so sweet. She treated us like family and we loved her warm reception. I’d definitely come back, if for no other reason than to have that kind of warmth and genuine concern for our welfare. She went out of her way to make sure we had a wonderful stay.

Nice hotel, room was spacious and clean we had all the amenities we needed that came with the room plus the pool and jacuzzi, weight room and more. And the staff was very pleasant 😁😁.

I highly recommend this hotel especially for long term guests. The rooms are great, the location is is super convenient, and the staff is super friendly and helpful. I had a great stay!

I booked a suite for my birthday and had a great time room was clean and customer service was great. To top it off the breakfast was everything I will definitely be back

Met some good people that stayed in the hotel, the staff was great. Great free breakfast. Love all the accommodations. In a pretty good location., Was close to the airport. Overall I give it a five star ⭐⭐⭐🌟🌟

Had a great stay for my first time in the sate of Virginia. Traveled from NY to enjoy the MEAC weekend. Great location for the games. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. But the highlight of my stay was breakfast. I travel a lot and have never been to a hotel that serves turkey bacon and sausage. So I want to thank Ne Ne and Tish…hope I got the name’s right. They did a great job making sure that there were options to satisfy their guests. Truly appreciated!!! Also Ms. De De was great making sure everyone was comfortable and had everything they needed to enjoy their breakfast.

The rooms were very nice. The beds were actually comfortable. Having the full kitchen is a big bonus, with full refrigerator and cooking capability. Location was perfect for our work. Prices were reasonable not cheap. The pool in the hot tub or a big big plus. Anyone who stays here definitely should plan on using the hot tub at the very least. Good morning breakfast is okay not exceptional but very serviceable good way to start your day. I think it's well worth the trip, worth the money particularly if you're getting some kind of discount like I am. Two thumbs up.

EXCELLENT Customer service by hotel staff and beautiful property. Although parking was a long tedious process during our stay because the garage key/enrty wasn't working the hotel staff was kind and patient with a few rude inpatient guests.
Will definitely return.

My wife and I recently stayed here over a weekend while the team we follow, East Carolina played Old Dominion University in football. We had a very nice stay and were really impressed with the room and service of the staff to meet our needs upon request. Our room was even ready by 8am on the morning or check in! Check out was easy through the app and being able to request extra towels and pillows through the app was also a plus. Breakfast was really good each morning with a lot of selections. I did feel bad for the lady that had breakfast duty because with ample choices comes the potential to run out of multiple items at the same time, a problem she faced not by any fault of her own. I just wish people would show a little more grace in those situations. The only down side to the stay is parking is 18$ a night which in my opinion is a little high. Overall great stay for a downtown hotel.

Fantastic room and a really attentive and understanding staff. The room was spacious and comfortable even though it definitely did not have a homely feel. The quiet ac was also a plus. Just enough noise to drown out the sounds of the street, but not horrendously loud like most other hotels.

All the front desk staff, including Steve who works evenings are very very accommodating. This is a great place, and I love their hot tub. The rooms of course are fine - full kitchen nice big bathroom comfortable beds putting TVs. Definitely an upper and hotel are you'll be proud to go to. Their breakfast buffet is slightly modest but very good nonetheless. They're happy hour Monday Tuesday and Wednesday are a real Plus. Well worth the trip, two thumbs up.

Staff was the friendliest I've ever experienced, especially the house keeper that was on the second floor. She engaged in conversation asking about my stay, is there anything we needed, enjoy our stay and please come back. Most places they barley say hello. Very clean hotel as well. Will definitely be back. Was in walking distance to everything downtown

Great place to stay! We had a great time. Only one complaint, if we have to book a pool time, we would like to be the only family in there. A small group of teens and 1 adult came in with a key. I had little children with me, but it was ok. It's just it's a pandemic so yeah. Other than that, great time!

Everyone there were extremely friendly, I left my Wallet there and my boyfriend’s gifts I bought for him and when I had to drive all the way back up there, the front desk person was very helpful and friendly. He lent me the room key to get it and when I got up there, my friend apparently left her Ps Vita and never knew that until the housekeeping told me and showed me. I want to thank all the staff there for their kindness and help. I had an excellent stay there. Thank you, and keep up the awesome work! 😊

Location was great - right near water, quiet area, felt safe. Staff was fantastic. Room was clean, odor free. The evening reception and morning breakfast was delicious. Only complaint was the hallway leading to the rooms was incredibly hot and extremely humid. Once we got into the rooms or lobby, the temperature was good.

Located in downtown Norfolk, it's a kind of serviced apartment. Has small kitchen, bathroom dining, study and bedroom with bath attached. Excellent breakfast buffet and very quiet neighborhood.

We arrived early due to hurricane Dorian, we were able to get an early check in with no problems. The desk manager was very polite and helpful. Mr. Steffon one of the staff members was exceptional. Also very helpful and answered our questions with enthusiasm and a smile. His professionalism was superb. Room was very clean and had all the amenities we needed. Room was very spacious, beds very comfortable, I will stay here again.
