Red Wing - Hampton, VA

Having just had a horrible experience 15 minutes prior at the young's boots. I was very apprehensive on what to expect at red wing. I will say the store was crowded and due to staffing issues. Bridget is the only employee running the store. I will say I was very impressed at how she handled all of the people waiting. I am very glad I waited when through the measuring process. I spend 90% of my day. Wearing my workboots. These have been by far the greatest fitting boot I've ever had. The boa system is absolutely amazing. I love being able to slide in. Turn a knob and go. People need to show a little patience right now. As the world is still not perfect in the retail environment And give people a break. Bridget seems to be doing her best to run the store by herself. I was very impressed with the entire process. Very happy to have comfortable boots and insoles. I pretty much have been wearing these boots everywhere since I've gotten them. My first pair of red wings but definitely not my last.

Visited the other day to pick up some work shoes for my new job and was thoroughly impressed with the whole experience. Bridget was an absolute professional, and I was out the door with what I needed in about 20 minutes. Thanks for the painless experience!

I am a welder on my feet for 10+ hours a day. I like boots to last, the price doesn’t concern me because I know i’m paying for a quality product. Was advised to get my feet scanned to find the best insoles for my foot. We went ahead and scanned my wife’s feet as well, who also stands for 10 hours a day. We had great experiences with our sales associate, very knowledgeable and helpful. We left with boots, and insoles for both of us. will be back

Tish is the best sales person you have in the store. She listens to customers needs. Make sure we get proper boot based on needs and wants. Every time I go on I get measured and fitted without questions. As we get older our feet change size and Tish helps me understand that. It's a shame she no longer works there. I don't know what happened but now I wonder about the quality of service and knowledge with the sales people that are now in the store.

She 2as very friendly and knowledgeable. She also made sure my boots fit right and were comfortable.

Never in life did I have to go through so many procedures when it comes to finding a pair of work boots but it was well worth it

The young lady that assisted me both times I called was very professional responsive respectful and overall I felt like she understood what my needs were.

Had the shoes I wanted in my size to order from the warehouse. Sales person was very helpful. I got exactly what I wanted.

Great RW store in the local HR area. This gem has a large collection of Heritage boots, including women boots. Sizes for women may or may not be available in store. The staff was extremely friendly and very helpful. I highly recommend a visit if you want quality boots.

Brigette did a wonderful job. She found the perfect fit for me and matched me with the most comfortable boots I’ve ever worn! Service was fast and excellent!

Two great experiences here so far!

Last year we went here and the very awesome manager worked with my wife to find her new work boots. She has a tricky to fit size, works on her feet in pastures year round, and has arthritis in both feet, so when I say she ended up with the best fitting boots she's ever had, that's meant to be really high praise. She's still loving them a year later. After the good luck with her new boots and the very pleasant and helpful experience getting them, I pretty much decided shortly after that I'd be going there for my next set as well.

Cue last week, when my Wolverines fell apart right in the middle of the construction site. I had to dig out an old emergency pair to get me by until I was free. I went in today and got the same really awesome manager. After last year's good experience and having already been planning ahead to get a good new set, I basically handed her my credit card, told her what my work conditions were, and said I'd basically trust whatever she recommended.

First and notably, she definitely didn't start by steering me towards the most expensive boots they had, despite my having basically left the door open for that. She started with the most budget friendly option she thought would work, and then worked her way up through the possible recommendations, telling me what changed or what I could expect with each one. Within about fifteen minutes I was sized, and standing around the store in a mid priced boot that was one of the best fitted things I'd ever had on my feet. I was sold, and kept them on after paying to immediately start breaking them in.

This review probably sounds like half my family works for Red Wing, but I genuinely have no connection with them at all. Just two good shopping experiences that stood out so well that I wanted to make note of it. Frankly I don't expect to be there often because these boots look really well put together ... so my main motivation is to make sure they do well, for when I need another pair eventually!

Excellent, knowledgeable staff! Figured out why my boots felt to small and hurt my feet...extra insole!! Something so simple, but made such a difference!! Red wing boots are the best, but without the great staff, there wouldn't be a Red wing!! It all starts with your employees!! This place is the best! You get what you pay for, and I wouldn't go anywhere else!!

Amazing store, the lady at the counter knew her stuff and got me into a pair of boots in no time. I love Redwing, bought new pair to replace my 6 year old pair I was sending off for resole. Within a week I had the resole back from Redwing and a personal call from the store telling me they were shipping them to my house. Amazing boots and amazing customer service.

The lady that helped me was very knowledgeable and helped alot. I have been a Redwing user for years. She helped me several years ago. Had to upgrade due to my new job and she knew exactly what I needed. She even measured me to ensure I picked the right size. Will recommend always.

I had never been to this store until today, but it is now my favorite work boot store! Great selection of boots and shoes as well as warranties on boots and insoles. Depending on what you buy, You can return it up to 90 days later.... after you've already been wearing the item! The lady that helped me was very knowledgeable and helpful too! Very helpful got feet feeling good for work

Very friendly. They didn't have the shoes I wanted but that's not a knock on them. Was amazed by the feet thinga ma jig. Great experience. Coffee and doughnuts 🍩 on me.

Tish was great! She helped us tremendously, asked us what we were looking for and gave us suggestions. Told us all about the boot, the warranty program, and also told us about the other things they offered after the warranty had expired. Which was all very useful. We will def be back. Great store, good customer service. Still using my boots 12 years later, and you can get free laces for your boots.

Very helpful staff, went in told them what I do for work, detailed the hazards I am around, and they showed me an exact selection of boots for the feild im in that work best. Explained everything from purchasing to long term care. Answered all my questions throughly. Definitely a great place to shop for boots
