Velocity Urgent Care - Wards Corners Norfolk

Overall my experience was wonderful! The check in process was quick and the lady at the front desk was warm and welcoming.The nurse was very polite and nice.The provider was Keshia Brown PA-C. She was super professional, kind and efficient. She made sure to explain everything. I'm not from Virginia, but I'd recommend this Urgent Care to anyone I know in the area!

The staff was patient, courteous and nice. I took my 89 year old physically challenged client there because she had a reacting bladder infection. To test her urine they needed a sample, which initially she was unable to supply them. They suggested she wait and drink a cup of refreshingly cold water. They brought us each a cup. Then returned to help her into our room. Fortunately during that time she was successful. They gently helped her into the treatment room. The immediately tested her urine and the doctor came in within 10 minutes and shared she did have an infection. We told him what she typically gets for the infection and the doctor had her antibiotics prescription transmitted to the pharmacy before we left. We picked up her medicine soon after and the process was seamless. Thank you Velocity Medical and Administrative Ward’s Corner team! We appreciate the compassion and service.

Been here twice, once for stitches and once for non emergency care. Both times were great, I was seen quickly when I needed stitches and taken care of. For my non emergency visit I was given a time to return which was nice so I didn’t have to sit and wait for 2 hours. I was able to leave and come back. When I came back I was seen and taken care of quickly. Staff was very friendly.

All three people I interacted with -receptionist, intake nurse and doctor were of the highest professional caliber. They were also extremely compassionate. That combination is a rare and exceptional quality. Although the office was quite busy, I noticed that each person arriving was treated with respect, patience and dignity. Truly impressive experience.

Although the wait was exceedingly long, the care was excellent. Dr. Travis carefully assessed my condition and, out of grave concern, directed me to an ER. Fortunately, all texts were normal, and I was released. I would revisit the location.

I had a short wait to be seen,so definitely a good idea to make an appointment and pre register on line.All members of the staff were kind and professional. Travis was very cool,and went the extra mile to make sure I got the care and medications I needed. All this goes a long way in overall recovery and I felt much better when I left just knowing I was on the right path to wellness. 5 stars .

Had to go in for stitches 30 minutes right before they closed. The staff was incredibly courteous. They were able to help us and get us out the door in under 90 minutes. Great staff/clinicians!

I was not satisfied when I first visited Velocity Care three months ago! Today I decided to have another visit! I walked in, and I found a good change! The front desk lady is very professional and kind. Thanks also to the nurse and the physician. Both have been amazing.

Wonderful experience! I am new to the area from another state and I have a new insurance and haven't been able to find a PCM here accepting new patients. On a whim with reoccurring symptoms I found this location near my apartment. I booked a same day appointment online. I was able to register online as well. When I arrived, I was greeted immediately with a smile and I didn't need to fill out any additional paperwork! (Wish i woule have gotten the receptionist name!) The wait was minimal! Mrs. Shannika took be back and was just so kind and helpful. She explained everything she was doing and was very knowledgeable and her personality was just top notch as a MA! After my triage, I met Travis! I wish I could properly announce his title but I have no idea. (Possibly a PA?) So sorry if I'm wrong! Anywho! I was there for a rather embarrassing problem and absolutely no judgements were passed. He made me feel so comfortable explaining my symptoms and was just awesome. Like I said, I have had problems finding a PCM here and he was able to refer me to two! Travis quickly took care of the treatment I needed and was able to answer all my questions! I can not speak highly enough of my experience as a new patient at Velocity in Wards Corner! Thank you so much Travis and Shannika. I hope to not see you again under these circumstances! But, next cold I get.. I'll be back! Y'all are amazing!

Update: Spoke with Mrs. Kayla today by phone for test results! I honestly thought my experience couldn't get better until she took my call. She answered right away to assist me! Y'all are seriously to good to be true for a Healthcare facility!

The doctor is good. The Management lady is so friendly and nice. The nurses are so kind to children. This place will be always my destination for children dental care in this area.

The staff here are wonderful. I was satisfied with their service. They are all professional with their job. Also, I appreciate that the NP explained to me what was going on and made sure I get my prescriptions. And I did not need to wait that long for my turn.

Very kind, warm, and patient. I had a small health scare and they listened to my concerns and answered all my questions with care. I'm so glad I walked into this urgent care.

I’m currently visiting as a patient & I must say within 5 minutes my nurse Ms. Gracie is amazing. Her customer service skills & politeness brighten my moment even in pain. Shoutout to her amazing service❤✨

I went there on a Friday morning at around 10:30. I was seeing immediately and was out of there by 11. The staff was very nice and professional.

Travis was amazing, personable, professional and took time to talk. I didn't feel rushed , like it was an in-and-out, into the next patient scenario.

Everyone at the Wards Corner location was very friendly and kind. When you sick or feeling unwell it's helps to have friendly, upbeat people to deal with. I will always pick the Wards Corner location over Little Creek location due to the kindness of the staff!

Within 30 min a 1st time patient filled out the paperwork, saw the nurse & DR (super friendly) and got prescribed. The staff was extra friendly. Will come back for any future needs!
