Ruth's Chris Steak House

Our date night was simply amazing! Haven't been to Ruth's Chris in some time and husband's first time there - it was nothing short of amazing! Kailey our server was great, confident, and well versed in what they offered. Every dish was well prepared and taste great, so compliments to the chef! Worth every penny spent, and the ambiance was so classy and dinner perfect. The salmon and shrimp with creamed spinach and mashed potatoes were pleasing to the palate. Loved that they had a large wine choice, especially sweet options, and our fav Aqua Panna water!

Great dinner experience. Ruth Chris on Christmas weekend, can't beat it. The steak was cooked to perfection. The piano player on a Friday night set the mood. Would highly recommend. Our waitress Colleen was great as well.

Filet w blue cheese crumble is one of the best I have ever tasted. Ordered medium rare and was exquisitely cooked. Highly recommend you try it. My partner ordered the spicy shrimp which were similarly excellent.

Came here for an investment class. The food and service were both excellent. Food is definitely better when someone else pays for it. Salad was fresh and dressing was vinegar based, light, and very good. Steak Filet was cooked perfectly and was not over salted. Sides were creamed spinach and mashed potatoes. They were also excellent. Chocolate dessert cake was very rich and delicious. Perfect for sharing.

My first visit to Ruth Chris Steak House. It was everything I expected. I could not resist getting the friend oysters along with a baked potato. Both meals were delicious and prepared perfectly. And all were hot meals. The service is top-notched; from the friendly welcoming from the hostesses to our server Jack. Jack has a pleasant personality and is very attentive to his customers. I have to also mention the attendants who assists in refilling water, tea and clearing our table of finished dishes, also very pleasant and attentive. Pianist started playing which enhanced the already cozy atmosphere. I highly recommend Ruth Chris Steak House for an excellent dining experience.

Booked through OpenTable. When asked if this was for a special occasion I said anniversary. I DID NOT expect the detail in service. Food: amazing. Service: on point. Cocktails: delicious. Definitely be back.

I took my wife there for an early Valentine's supper, and it was fantastic! The steak was awesome! I had the 24 oz. T-bone, and my wife had the petite Filet with shrimp. The sweet potato souffle is out of this world delicious! If you get a chance to go, take it!

Celebrated a Birthday here! Easy reservations, awesome staff, and an amazing server, Michael. Got to the table, and it had cute birthday confetti. I wasn't expecting that. The food was delicious! We have been to Ruth's Chris in ATL and NJ, and this Ruth's Chris has nothing on them. Everything is just Top Tier! We got the BBQ Shrimp (delicious), mushrooms with crab Stuffing (amazing), porterhouse for 2 (for the birthday man), sweet potatoes (to DIE for), the famous lobster Mac n cheese (OMG), the Mashed potatoes (heavenly) the ribeye (amazing), kids chicken tenders and kids shrimp. Followed by ice cream for the kids, créme brulee (spectacular), and a complimentary bread pudding for the Birthday Man, as the pianist played the "happy birthday" song. Thank you to the Ruth's Chris Family for an awesome time!

Visit Date: 10/29/2021 Our first ever Ruth Chris experience. We had reservations later in the evening 7 or 7:30pm and had about a 5 minute wait before we were seated. We initially were seated at a 2 person table but it wasn’t comfortable so our server helped us move to a 4 seater table beside us shortly after (which I’m grateful for because the smaller table wouldn’t have accommodated our food). Our server that evening was Bridgeta (spelling?) and she was amazing. I loved her recommendations and ability to answer all of our questions. Needless to say everything and I mean everything we ate was delicious. My boyfriend and I split the Porterhouse for Two…that may have been the first time I ate a Porterhouse and it was huge. I’m a medium well, well done kind of girl so I was a little afraid of some of the pinker areas but my boyfriend took care of those pieces. All of the sides were great and I love the fact they’re large portioned because it made it easy to split. We ordered crab cakes we had for our appetizer were flavored perfectly so I recommend those and the bayou shrimp. I love any and everything cajun/creole and seafood and the sauce hit the mark…it was especially great on my baked potato. I can’t remember which cocktail I had that’s pictured in the martini glass but I didn’t care for it, I don’t like things that are too sweet and it reminded me of medicine. I did enjoy the blueberry mojito and the Nola mule. Of course this is a pricier restaurant but I’d attend again for a special occasion. Per my boyfriend “worth every penny…no regrets”.

Anniversary dinner was amazing!! The Cowboy Steak was huge, lobster tails and crab cakes were very fresh and the Sidecar drinks were delicious (they definitely didn't hold back on the liquor). Did I mention the personal touch of hearts and happy anniversary table decor? A bit on the expensive side, but the exquisite food, drinks and service was well worth it.

One of the nicest steak places in Richmond. Exquisite decor. Safely separated tables. Plastic covered menus. It was unusual to see calorie counts on all menu items. All wait staff was fully masked. They split our salad and steak in the kitchen. Asparagus was served family style. We were able to take our remaining wine home with us. We split the petite fillet and wedge salad. We also split the creme brulee, which had been decorated on chocolate with "Happy Anniversary". We had Sage as our server. She did a great job. Typically we tip at 20 percent, but a little taken aback when 18 percent had been added automatically. That must have been on the menu, but we missed it. I think this is a bit presumptuous, especially for a party of two. End result.... We tipped 18 instead of 20.

I normally don't give 5 stars, because there's always room for improvement. Ruth Chris has really changed my views on that. They are definitely a 5 star restaurant. I wouldn't call them a restaurant, they are an experience. My Husband and I were celebrating our anniversary. They addressed us by our last name the whole evening. Any other restaurant will take your name and still won't call you by it. Our waiter Bobby was AMAZING. Very attentive, polite and knowledgeable. The manager came over and wished us a Happy Anniversary. Top Notch!!!

Now let's get to the food. Omgoodness it was phenomenal. I don't usually order steak at a restaurant, but I went for it here. And they understood the assignment. The portions were great and everything stayed hot until the last bite.

Ruth Chris has heighten my expectations for restaurants. They have no competition in my eyes.

Tonight was the first time I visited the Ruth’s Chris in midlothian, I was amazed by the overall building & atmosphere. I visited with my fiancé as a late valentines celebration & birthday celebration. Our waiter Bobby was phenomenal, very personable and attentive while also allowing us to fully enjoy our evening without unnecessary interruptions. All supporting staff were very professional and attentive, my water glass was never even close to empty. The portions were very generous throughout every course. Overall, we were both impressed with our meals, environment, & service- one of the best restaurants I have visited in RVA if you don’t mind the prices. Will definitely be returning.

Today was our anniversary and Ruth's Chris didn't disappoint. Bone I'm cowboy ribeye, crab stuffed mushrooms, potatoes aus gratin!

Amazing service with a smile from a warm and friendly staff. I cannot recommend Ruth's Chris in Richmond enough.

everything about this restaurant is amazing. this is truly a five star luxury experience and everyones service from the host to waitress is phenomenal. they truly made me feel special on such a special day for myself. this was my first time having lamb chops and they were so amazing. Seafood 10 out of 10. I literally have NOTHING bad or to criticize about this restaurant. Ruth Chris, Thank you ♥👍🏾

Went for a financial presentation which included a free meal. Had a very tasty three course meal of salad entree and dessert. The entree was a huge filet mignon which was very tender. Their rare is very rare, so if I go again I will ask for medium rare. Very good service and the facility is clean and attractive.

Absolutely enjoyed every minute and bite. Took my wife here for our 10th wedding anniversary. Everyone greeted and welcomed us from the first step in the door. We actually were able to be seated in there anniversary section. It was an amazing room for two. Our waiter Dan and Jack were very professional, polite, knowledgeable of the menu and all around great hosts. The food was absolutely delicious. I had the lobster bisque, crabcakes were the best I have ever had. Lamb was cooked to perfection along with the lobster mac and cheese and creamed spinach. My wife entree was the bbq shrimp with mashed potatoes. She also had the lemon drop drink and I had a moscato wine. We absolutely enjoyed ourselves and will definitely be back soon. Thank you for making our anniversary special.

It had been 6 or 7 years since my last time eating at Ruth's Chris and after this visit I'm already making my next reservation. The food was excellent as always but the service is why I will be going back soon, Sarah was amazing!
