St. David's Episcopal Church and School

We love that St. David's is a play based preschool with a beautiful campus. One of the most unique features (that we took advantage of!) was the outdoor classroom. We were able to give our daughter a year of outdoor play and learning--something most kids do not get to experience. We are so thrilled that St. David's also offers pre-K. We were able to keep the continuity of an institution we love and familiar faces while helping our daughter be more kindergarten ready (all while focusing on play). If we had to do it again we would 100% choose St. David's.

St. David's in Ashburn is warm and welcoming. I've been a member of this congregation for several years and have felt a part of the family from day one. Reverend Mary Kay really brings the message home, and I especially love how much female leadership is present. The Restoring Eden garden is beautiful in all seasons and features in many a family photo, especially at Easter. St. David's also supports the wider community: BSA Troop 58 is chartered by St. David's, the Eden vegetable garden supplies seasonal vegetables to Hunger Relief, and the annual REACH mission trip helps the youth of the congregation connect to and help needy families.

Both my son and daughter have attended St. David's and I cannot say enough wonderful things about this school. From the moment you arrive at St. David's, it feels like entering a magical tree house in the woods. It's bright, open, and full of life. I am always amazed at how my family is not just another number there. The staff is warm, caring, and engaging with students and parents alike. Each day, the staff greets us by name and makes us all feel at home. So, if you are looking for a loving environment that will give your kids not only a great educational foundation but a spiritual one too, this school is perfect for you!

I really can't say enough wonderful things about St. David's Episcopal Preschool! We have been part of the school since 2009. All three of my children have attended St. David's. You feel the loving environment the minute you walk through the doors. The staff and teachers are top notch and the children learn so much from the play based curriculum. Our family got so much more than just a school at St. David's, we got to be part of this incredible community.

St. David’s Episcopal Preschool is such a wonderful place. Our daughter loves it there and our son can’t wait to be old enough to go next year. It is such a special community that we joined the church as well. The school has taught our daughter amazing social skills and she has made some wonderful friends here. I highly recommend St. David’s and can’t say enough about how much the school has positively impacted all of our lives!

I chose to go to St. David's when I decide to give my 5 year old son a "gift of a year". As I looked at the other preschools around I quickly realized that St. David's was the ONLY school which offered a program just for this. I did not want my son to repeat "4 year old " school. St. David's also has an outdoor program called "K-Wild" which is an outdoor school 2 days a week before his regular school. Literally you would dress the kids for the climate and they would be outside. With both of these options I knew that St. David would be a perfect fit.
Last year I had both kids at St. David's and quickly realized I found my place. This is my 3rd preschool I have attended and by far the most warm, loving and nurturing. The community at St. David's is amazing. My only wish is that I had started there earlier.
That extra year was the best decision ever and if you are ever on the fence about doing it....DO IT. You won't regret it!

We have been a part of the St. David's family since 2014 and I cannot say enough wonderful things about the school. The directors and staff are amazing. If you are looking for a warm and loving environment with a focus on play-based learning, this is the school for you!

Jack our music and choir director, Allan, Conrad, and Janice are some of the people that make Saint David’s episcopal church so warm and special. We have only been here about six months; we feel like we’ve been here forever.

The church and the preschool are WONDERFUL. Everyone is so friendly, and the teachers are the preschool are amazing. We can't wait to return to in person services and school.
