Giant Food

Update: the past couple of times I have had to come here, they have stepped up greatly. There are more cashiers and they are super friendly and kind. The produce has seemed to improve as well.

Extremely frustrating experience every time I come. A lot of expired, moldy food so you really need to pay attention when you are grabbing groceries. Only one cashier yet when you go to the self checkout someone is immediately available to tell you “self check out is only for 20 items or less”. This is why I avoid going here. I am trying to go home and get out of the store and not have to suffer the consequences of how this store is inadequately staffed. I can tell the employees are frustrated by it by their defeated attitude because I don’t understand how other grocery stores have functional self checkouts and if they don’t, they at least have a proper amount of cashiers. Trader Joe’s doesn’t do me like this!

I have lived near this Giant for the last 4 years and probably go here 3 times a week.

I love this place. It is easy to get to and always in order and the staff is super friendly.

The parking lot does get crowded at peak times, but they do have a lot of parking. It only gets congested for those who want to park near the entrance instead of parking farther out and walking in.

They have always had everything I need when I go in there. I always use the self check-out and sometimes those get backed up during peak hours. They usually move fast though.

They have a Pharmacy and a flower department. The flowers are always well stocked especially for holidays!

Good place to get groceries, went here to buy a cake for my brother's birthday. They had a lot of great options to choose from!! I found a lot of good deals there today!!

Very helpful staff. I couldn't find sterno burners and Faizia (at the self checkout) found them for me. I was ever so grateful. My sandwich wraps that I ordered were great. The large tray was more than enough

Clean and well organized found everything needed affordable offers.

Our Committee recently hosted a family style brunch for 90 residents in our social room. I met with Hope in the Deli Section & Cassandra in the Bakery. Both these ladies were wonderful to work with & the end result far exceeded my expectations. The trays of sandwiches & danishes were done with expert care & were ready on time for pickup. It is certainly positive to see such a wonderful work ethic these days. I have dealt with your particular store since I moved here 7 years ago & with employees like these, you can be of our continued business.

I have shopped at this store for 10 to 12 years. I especially like the pharmacy. They know what they are doing and give great service. Alot of the employees have been there for years. I think that says alot for the dedication of the employees and their helpfulness.

Man oh man!

The Best Fried Chicken from their prep foods. I usually get the trays that are cold and made for re-heating but I took a hot fresh one today. I was so excited to go home and eat it up too. Very satisfied and will now be buying them hot n fresh instead.

I've been going to this giant for years, primarily in the evenings during the week. I'm always impressed with the quality and selection of the produce, while other stores, including Wegmans, tend to have produce that is generally going bad or has very little selection. While I wish it had an app to locate items and prices like Wegmans has, overall this giant is really convenient and I can find most things, including gluten free options, here. I love the in store scanner.

Great bakery. they make a cake that is Capuchino flavored. its so awesome. store stayed open during covid so you could still get food too. good village anchor food store.

Always a good time at this store. They kept the shelves stocked during the pandemic and remained calm professional and courteous throughout. Good union workers here providing essential services.

We are huge Giant fans. High quality produce at great prices, store brands are typically as good as and most of thwe e time, better than branded products.

As example, enormous fresh red, green, yellow and orange peppers $10 for ten...about 20 pct less than competition.

Store aisles are wide, and well lit. Shelves are stocked so it is rare that we can't find what we are looking for.

We always use reusable cloth bags, Giant should switch from plastic to paper.

Also, gas points save us anywhere from several bucks to give or six each fill up.

Monica is a wonderful staff in Giant. She patiently solved the issue of gift cards. However, it took long time, she managed with smiles. Great to Giant for having with wonderful and expert crew.

Shout out to Steve S. at the seafood counter! His display is always super clean and organized, which makes me feel confident that the seafood is fresh and sanitary. I appreciate Steve's professionalism, tips about cooking my selections, and overall friendly demeanor. Thanks Steve!

My favorite person that works here is in seafood nice older lady by the name is Brenda. Amazing person and she has great service

The giant bakery has the best bakery in grocery stores. Shoutout to ashburn giant, they have never disappointed

One of the cleanest and most well organized Giants I've been too in a while. Staff actually are helpful if/, when needed.
