I am pleased with our experience here. They took our group of 11 with 15 minutes notice after our reservations elsewhere fell through. Some of the food (shrimp and grits and sausage and gravy) were overcooked. The food was a bit under seasoned. The breakfast biscuit had no sign of hot honey and we ordered more than one. Should be drizzled over the chicken not added to the biscuit, it drowns out the taste. The atmosphere was a perfect brunch spot, drinks were good with unique flavors and names. All of the food was presented well (shrimp and grits were a bit watery and didn’t present well). Biscuits were hard and some burnt but the flavor was good and we could tell they were from scratch. Lemonade is Minute Maid. For the price it was worth it but I would just hope for more attention to these very unique dishes. There is a flavor explosion in the menu description when reading but it doesn’t always translate to the cooked food. I would go again for drinks and to taste non breakfast food, but not likely since there are so many other amazing food places in Richmond. Having a large party sometimes sets the tone for service. I understand the difficulty that comes with giving us superb service, but I expect a certain level. Our server seemed annoyed and preoccupied. She didn’t check on us and we frequently had to bye for her attention to have simple requests filled for our table (condiments, salt, missing items & entrees)

Cool vibe! Great drinks, appetizers, and entrees! Really good happy hour and great bourbon selection available. Edemame is best in class, calamari done very well, burger is very good. Chicken pesto needs some work. I would recommend dialing back the salt in general.

Nice bar and restaurant - both is separated through a partly brick wall - nice ambient - cool thing they have happy hour every evening - very friendly personal - we felt quite good during our visit

First time here, the food was superb. Definitely recommend and will be back. Their brunch menu has all the fave foods. We did not order drinks from the bar, sorry. The service was excellent. The restrooms are clean.

Everything was good! I had the chicken and waffles. The syrup had a lil spice to it but it was a good balance with the meal. The drinks were awesome. The wait staff if really cool!

i’m so glad that I was invited to this place because I hadn’t heard of it and it was awesome! staff were super friendly and readily available for anything we needed. the happy hour prices were great and they had a large selection of specialty drinks. I got a Rip Tide Rush cocktail and it was one of the tastiest and definitely the prettiest drink I’ve ever had. Cant wait to come back soon!

Great fun atmosphere. Good food and service too. Got there early on a Friday evening and the place was packed when we left!

I love coming here for brunch. I always get the shrimp and grits. My husband got the biscuits and gravy but was a little disappointed that they were kinda stingy on the gravy. It seemed like it was the end of the batch or something. I would still definitely recommend this place.

A classy bar atmosphere with good drink options that are not too sweet and full of flavor.
Reasonable prices and a more robust selection of interesting drink choices than many locations.

Overall, came on opening weekend with a party, we were greeted as we walked in, sat quickly. The place has a good flow, a bit loud with the bar crowd but good separation from bar and the tables. Waitress was extremely helpful, patient, and knowledgeable. Answered our questions and if she didnt know, she got them for us. Drinks were good. Good beer menu and nice they had had cocktails on tap. The bourbon they had was unique. Had a slow drip with bananas and cinnamon. Food tastes great. Wings were perfect. Great value for the quality and quantity you get. Nachos were good and the mac and cheese had good flavor. The shrimp in the sandwich we got tasted fresh. They were out of some things which is understandable for opening weekend. Management was real friendly about it and offer us something else at no cost. We will definitely be coming back and recommend it to the locals and those visiting Richmond.

Such a great cozy spot. The staff was very attentive, and checked on us with precise timing. The biscuits and gravy were awesome, and the chicken and waffles, with a side of gravy, were probably some of the best I've had. The portions are sized to fill you up, and maybe take some for later. Make sure to check this place out!!!

1st time here, came in for Easter Sunday Brunch. I had the chicken and waffles with a side of sausage gravy. The picture does not due it justice, it was soooo good! Also had the mimosa, overall great food, Chance was our server, very cool and quick to make sure our drinks were full. Will definitely come back again.

Outstanding!! Anytime I see "52" in a restaurant's name, I know the food is going to be local, fresh and good... Social 52 did not disappoint... Pictured is the Southern Tavern Burger (no bun) and the fried Brussels sprouts... Ridiculously good!! Can't wait to come back to town to go again!!!

Awesome spot to hit up for dinner, happy hour, or late night. They have a happy that goes till 9pm everyday.

My and my lady met another couple here and they arrived first so I cant really give a fair judgement on wait time and the host. However none of that matters because they have the BEST shrimp and grits I've had at a brunch in Richmond. The grits have the perfect amount of cheddar and aren't to "gritty" and they aren't stingy with the meat. Only thing that I didn't like is that you have to pay to share this entree with someone at your table. And another bonus is they offer 2 types of mimosa pitchers.

Had a great meal. Our first time here The menu was succinct, which had me concerned at first. The items we ordered were great. The wine was wonderful and the beers were cold and refreshing.
The service was friendly and timely. We came into eat and watch the game. We will be back !

Nice joint. Good selection, strong drinks, great food, friendly service. Just popped in for drinks and an appetizer (truffle fries were amazing). Our server was very attentive and friendly. She hung around to chat for a bit. I'd recommend it. Need to go back for actual dinner and will update the review.

Our bartender was very nice. Made a delicious spicy mule and suggested two delicious dinners- their pimento cheese burger and Nashville hot chicken sandwich with brussels sprouts- amazing!

A nice after hours spot. I came here with a friend and we enjoyed it here. I order some wings and they were delicious. The waitress was very attentive and made sure we was satisfied.
