CAN Community Health - Norfolk, VA

Not only has my interaction with CAN Community Health been excellent, but it has also been constructive! The employees serve people with care and concern and have a great attitude. I was greeted by the nicest lady at the window I call her auntie Amy. They were so helpful and considerate of my situation I am so thankful this place exists. And after I signed a couple papers I was in the back no later 10 mins. The staff always goes above and beyond here. I genuinely trust the staff and services provided at CAN.

Amy at the front desk is the best she is sweet and always personable. She genuinely always makes me feel welcomed when I walk through those doors- a true asset to can community. I have been coming here not on for preventative reasons but as my PCP for 3 years now. I could be coming to get tested or treated and I never feel an ounce of judgement or shame from this place. Highly suggest any lgbt person to come here.

Coming from a VERY bad situation in Boston, I was concerned about my HIV treatment, but the staff helped with the transaction of medical records with ease.

I was greeted by the nicest lady at the window which really threw me a loop and was not expecting. I honestly have had one of the worst years and was dropped by my insurance. They were so helpful and considerate of my situation. I have never been in a situation where I was completely understood of what was going on with me. I am so thankful this place exists.

I LOVE the staff especially the receptionist Ms Laura they are so accommodating and very welcoming. It’s always a treat to come in.

Amy Monroe at the Norfolk, VA office is a true gem! From day one she gave me the welcoming family feels that I think every office/provider should give. During my last visit, as I was leaving she says “please give us a call if you need anything!”. About 6 months later I had an emergency. I gave Amy a call and she was very genuine, sympathetic, and assuring that she would help get my issue resolved. Within 24 hours, I had a telehealth appointment with my PCP! Amy along with all of the other healthcare professionals at the CAN Community Health Clinic are truly amazing and makes you feel right at home.

Alicia is an amazing NP with such great compassion. The staff there really do care, even if they have been stretched thin. I wish we had more places like this in the area, there simply aren't enough places like this clinic in the area.

Thank you all for helping in an time where I tired and stressed beyond belief due to having been given the run around. Forever grateful for the time given to have my personal crisis heard and addressed in a respectful and courteious manner.
