CIRCUS CUTS - Haircuts for Kids - Alpharetta

I've been bringing my son here for the last 4 years. I was initially anxious because kids don't stay still and whoever can skillfully and patiently cut a kid's hair amidst all the interruptions (parents and other customers) and sudden movements, has my gratitude and awe. I also get a haircut from her because if she is skilled enough to cut a kid's hair who doesn't sit still, I can certainly trust her with my hair.

The place is brightly lit with a play area for kids. Lots of space and clean. They usually get very busy on weekends so I try to avoid making appointments and schedule it for digital days or early release days.

I live a bit far away so we usually schedule the trip more of an outing. There is a YMCA nearby, Webb Bridge Park which has a sand pit next to a creek, a French cafe (Colette French Cafe) that I bribe my kid a treat to for staying still, a Kid to Kid store across the street and even North Point Mall farther down.

I noticed there are other reviews for last minute walk-ins. I do not think that should apply to kids' haircut. Any parent should recognize that kids take a LONG time to do anything. The younger, the more time and attention required. I would be irritated and disrespected if an appointment I took the time and energy to commit to is disregarded because another parent disregarded appointment times and expect service just before a business is about to close for the day.

We had a great experience taking our 15 month old daughter. There were lots of little toys to keep her entertained and “little baby bum” was playing on the tv too! Rosa was quick and sweet. I was nervous about cutting her hair but I’m glad we did it!

Our son loves his time with Ms. Rosa. She knows exactly what to do with his hair and how to handle his cow lick!

We LOVE Circus Cuts! I’ve been bringing my daughter to Ms. Rosa for over 4 years (including her first cut with adorable keepsake card) and couldn’t imagine taking her anywhere else! Rosa explains what she’s doing, is conservative with the amount she takes off and always has a plan to what the end goal will be. My daughter had thinning of the sides around 2-3yo and instead of chopping off the rest of the length to match she explained what would be best long term and why. I’m absolutely convinced that my daughter wouldn’t have the beautiful curls that she does now had we gone anywhere else!

Oh my goodness — Ms. Rosa and her staff were fantastic! We’d gone to a few other salons in the area before finding her through Google and were so pleased. Our little guy has cried and cried during his haircuts at other places, but not here. She had the perfect setup for him to watch TV and play with toy cars. It was a great experience, I’d recommend her to anyone! Thank you so much for an adorable haircut, Ms. Rosa!

Took our 15 month old for their first haircut and Rosa did a phenomenal job. Helped keep the kiddo from getting too upset and the cut looks fantastic. Highly recommend

Ms Rosa is the only one who has cut both my kids’ hair… and they are now 11 and 9. Guess that says a lot about how much I like her work.
She’s professional and friendly and both my children ask to go to her when it’s time for a cut. It’s best to get an appointment with her and that’s what has always worked for me.
So if you are looking for a good place to get your kids first haircut go to her and you’ll be glad you did.

My 3yo has never enjoyed getting his haircut. We recently moved to the area and found Circus Cuts on Google. Ms. Nolma was amazing and helped make him comfortable. There was Cocomelon, dinosaurs, and trucks for him during his haircut. He (and I) had a GREAT experience! No tears!!! 🙌🏻

I brought my son to Ms Rosa for his first haircut around his first birthday and we’ve been coming ever since; my kids have grown up coming here regularly and haven’t had haircuts anywhere else! Ms Rosa knows our family and definitely knows how they like their hair cut & styled. Ms. Rosa is still currently following COVID protocols which helps everyone, and I think it probably reduces her overall exposure. Make an appointment and show up on time to help keep her on schedule for the day. She books in 15 minute increments for each child haircut, and there will only be one parent & child (or children) inside at a time. It’s working for now but someday I’m guessing it will go back to a more “normal” salon experience. I’ve recommended her to lots of other families throughout the years. It’s a small, low-key, family business. For us it’s worth the drive!

Loved getting my sons first cut here! Quick, quality and Ms. Rosa is so fantastic with the little ones! My son was 1.5 years old and she had all the goodies to keep him occupied for his little attention span! Will be coming back for all his future cuts.

Mrs Rosa did a wonderful job with my son’s first haircut!! She was very kind and moved quickly to make sure he didn’t even notice while he was distracted with toys and coco melon. Highly recommend!

Rosa was an absolute professional!!! My 2 year old grandson was not thrilled at first but Rosa got him to open up and relax very quickly and she gave him an excellent haircut. Very pleased with the team at Circus Cuts!!

Rosa is wonderful! A very knowledgeable stylist and excellent with children. My son prefers his hair long and his cut is very easy to mess up, but she did it to perfection every single time. We've since moved away and I haven't found anyone yet as good as her. Highly recommend.

Yesterday we took my 2 year old son in for a haircut. I was pretty dread filled because he usually screams and it turns into a full blown meltdown torture event. After many attempts to try and do it home it just wasn’t working; I gave in and hesitantly made the appointment. Mrs. Rosa was very friendly over the phone and explained the protocols the salon was taking due to COVID.
Bottom line, she did a PHENOMENAL job with my son. He cried but it was not near the meltdowns we’ve had before. She was extremely patient and calm with him, had his favorite toddler shows on and had cars for him to hold. His hair looks adorable and it’s exactly what I was hoping for.
We live in Jefferson and I will gladly make the hour plus drive to have the same awesome experience.

Lovely place to bring little kids that need a haircut and cannot sit still. Here, the kids have unique seats, their favorite show on screen, and not to forget, they will get a beautiful haircut, without noticing it...

Rosa is such a delight to speak with and great with children. My kids' hair always looks great after going to her salon! My daughter has really thick hair and Rosa has taught me how to take care of it, including lessons on what not to do. I highly recommend Circus Cuts 👍.

This is a very kid-friendly place and with 3 young kids, I need that. There is a waiting room with toys, and the kids sit on motorcycles and can watch DVDs while they have to hold still. Rosa is very patient with my kiddos and can even manage to cut my squirmy 18-month-old's hair. The best thing I can say about this place is that my kids get nice-looking haircuts. My daughter gets so many compliments on her cute bob that she is used to it. We even had another mom ask to take a picture of her haircut so she could ask for it. I've been happy with the service. I try to avoid peak times and get an appointment to make it as easy as possible to be in and out.

Great service and haircuts. Rosa is so patient with my kids. My older son is autistic and very sensitive to touch. She has been great calming him down and giving him a great haircut. I once went to Great Clips with him and he squirmed so much that the stylist refused to continue cutting his hair. Fortunately, Rosa was available and finished his haircut. I can't picture going anywhere else with my kids.
