McKenzie's Island cuisine catering

Today was a hungry day for me, so I searched the net for Caribbean/Jamaican food (Specifically) Oxtails. And here I find MCKENZIE’s Island cuisine but of course I looked at their reviews to see what others said about the experience and taste they had after eating there. Many were very good… so that was enough for me to try them, and I’m glad I did!
When I tell you from the placing of my order over the phone I spoke to Stacey… she is an amazing, patient and professional lady. She answered all my questions and concerns about the soup of the day (which I choose FISH SOUP)😃, then on to my Oxtail meal. The plate was full barely cud close it and the taste was Soooo Goood! As you can see I couldn’t help but share a picture of what my order was, it definitely is enough for 2feedings lunch and dinner for ME! I highly recommend this Jamaican cuisine if you’re ever in the area for lunch/dinner.

This place is what I like to call the real deal. I felt like I was back in New York City stepping into a Jamaican restaurant. The moment you walk in the smell just takes over you. The food was excellent. Establishment was clean. Staff was friendly and professional. We will return to patronize

I went here today for lunch. It was my first time. Pros: The food was very fresh and hot. The oxtails, plantains, and cabbage were very good, and it was so much food that I will eat the rest for dinner. The only thing I can agree with from other reviews is that the rice and peas can use a little more seasoning. However, it is still fresh and good. The service was very good as well.

Being born and raised in the Caribbean, I like to think that I am a bit critical/particular about my Caribbean food. McKenzie's is my go-to place for authentic Caribbean food. I've had the oxtail, salmon, wings, sorrel, plantain + more and I haven't been disappointed. I just wish they opened on Sundays... Stacy is awesome. Customer service on steroids. If you made it this far, the only thing left to do is place your order.

I wish I could give this restaurant 10 Stars. I take customer service very serious and they hit all the marks. The Food was phenomenal, I've had jamaican food all over even the very popular ones and McKenzie's is the BEST. We ordered the oxtails and they were so good we had to try the patties. When I tell you THE PATTIES!!!! are the best your taste buds have ever tasted....I put that on my Momma😍🤣. I will tell everyone I know about this GREAT PLACE.

Ordered the jamaican jerk chicken pasta. He could barely close the lid they give you that much food. He promised I would be back for more and he is right. The food was outstanding, hot and delicious. Along with a fruit punch to wash it down and the great service, win win.

10/10 whew the food is amazing everything seasoned and cooked too perfection. I had the large jerk chicken dinner with also a beef pattie and everything was perfect! I’m going to try to the oxtails next.

Since they opened just over a month ago in Norcross I have visited (3) times and each time my experience has been great! The food is very fresh, everything was hot and tasted amazing! You’ve got a customer for life!

Bomb Jamaican food cooked right. Get you the sorrel drink, it's good for a cleanse especially after all the junk food out there. Portions are right,Definitely coming back.

The food here is SO good!! I went here for the first time yesterday and ordered the shrimp curry entree which came with red beans and rice, cabbage and fried potatoes as well as a few jerk chicken patties. My food was hot and fresh, and was prepared quickly! And I got so much food for what I paid! It’s very small and quaint on the inside but the food absolutely stands out! So happy to support this awesome black-owned business! Would 10/10 recommend and will be making this my go-to spot for Jamaican cuisine.

Delicious, large plates, the jerk pasta with chicken and shrimp were the family's favorite.

The shrimp and Jerk chicken Alfredo pasta is made fresh to order mild jerk spice level, very yummy. The fish and wing combo is amazing and also made to order, fresh and perfectly seasoned, sided with fries and toasted bread. The curry goat is tender and seasoned well my daughter enjoyed this meal very much. You will have plenty of food to share, great portion size. Overall, service and food are exceptional and I will return. Big up to mummy that sits behind the counter with the polite, professional and friendly cashier.

Extremely friendly service, lots of talkative regulars. (always a good sign) The jerk is a grilled style rather than the stewed I am used to but the flavor was amazing. Portions are healthy, and the combo comes with not only the standard rice, cabbage and plantain, but delicious and crispy fried potatoes, a refreshing and welcome complement. Also tried the curry chicken, which was nice and tender, but honestly a but mild for my taste. Will definitely be back again.

This place is great, warm welcome, great food. Its very hard to find Jamaican authentic food. I can call in my order on my way home and its ready when I get there with no waiting. It's like a little slice of home, service with conversation and warm welcome.

Just moved into town, never tried Jamaican food before. I am now a believer! The Jerk chicken lunch combo is 🔥🔥🔥!!! Sooo good. Even the sides have so much flavor with the rice/beans, cabbage, and potatoes. Will absolutely be coming back 10/10

Food was amazing, definitely authentic . I had the curry goat and rice and peas. Also ventured out and tried the jerk chicken pasta Alfredo and that was also great. The service was wonderful. Stacy was engaging and made the experience warm and welcoming. I will definitely be back. Thanks

This place is a gem! The customer service provided was awesome. It appears that they really appreciate their customers. I ordered red snapper escovitch and it was super delicious! I was pleasantly surprised to find fried potatoes with my food and they were very very good as well. I find it difficult to find good rice and peas at most jamaican restaurants however the rice at this place was cooked just right. I could have eaten it by itself! The prices are extremely reasonably and the portion of food provided was great!!! I would definitely order again and have already recommended that my friends check them out too! You won't be disappointed.

I came in here yesterday after a long day of work and to my surprise service was phenomenal! My husband and I both got an oxtail small plate for $12 each. So I definitely love the prices my husband absolutely loved his meal I loved my oxtail but the rice I wasn’t crazy about. But what really got me was the peas they had in the oxtail(mouthwatering) all in all super cool spot with some amazing service will definitely be back!

I'm from out of town and wanted something authentic and different. This place is great! I wish there was a restaurant of this caliber in my home town. The curry chicken reminded me of another great restaurant I went to in Miami. Plus the portions are big and will fill you up.
