Great overall park, and they often stock the two ponds with trout. I walk my dog here often, and there's even a smaller hiking trail riverside that leads into a small bamboo forest.

I love being back in the area and close to Charles D Owen Park. It's a great place to enjoy family and friends or solitude. Plenty of parking and also provides access to some trails on Warren Wilson College. Some of the trails go alongside the river. Another one goes up a good climbing hill.

A bit of an odd entrance, feels like you're driving into the National Wiper Alliance parking lot. Just follow the gravel road around to the park.
The park is great, well kept, and very family friendly! Great place for a picnic. There's a nice trail that goes around the pond, nice playground, etc.
The trail also connects to the Warren Wilson river trails.

Great park to go walking especially in the fall when the leaves are turning. There is plenty of free parking. You can loop around the ponds which is a wide flat dirt path. Very dog friendly. Usually there are people fishing along the pond as well. You can also cut into the woods and there is an inner path that goes through the woods. That path is much skinnier but still flat. But you have to watch your step a bit more with large rocks and tree roots sticking up.

I love Owen Park. It is a great place to destress after a long work day. I've taken some phenomenal photos there at sunset, too!
PS Don't be confused when you see a giant warehouse where the sign for the park is....as you wind down the entrance drive, behind the business, you'll see there really are lakes there!

Great park with a gravel walkway. There are some areas you can sneak off towards the river and walk as well and another path and wooden bridge that connects to a separate college hiking trail.

I enjoy taking my grandchild here from time to time. It’s beautiful, uncrowded, has 2 baby swings, and the requisite ducks preferred by the baby. The walk down by the river fires my imagination and returns part of my childhood to me. We always leave feeling renewed. Edited 3/11: the playground has been re-done and is probably nicer for most children, but it no longer has any baby equipment, including the swings we loved.

I recommend this park as a place with great trails and convenient access. I often go here to bike along the trails. It centers around a lovely pond. As you hike, run, or bike the trail, you will be alongside the Swannanoa River, which makes for beautiful scenery. I definitely recommend checking out the trails if you want a short hike close to town.

I've been going to this lake all my life. I love it here. There are two lakes, multiple walking paths of varying length, adequate spots for fishing, and many entrances to the river (which is perfect in the summer!). There is a ball field, spots to do cookouts, and a few gazebos.

Nice little park tucked behind a warehouse. Easy to miss the turn in. Ball fields. Swings. Nice, flat walking path around the ponds and by the river. Picnic pavilion. Unclear if bathrooms, snack bar.etc. are open when ball fields not in use.

Beautiful views, we spend over 9 hours fishing in the creek. Got over 30 fish but they where smaller, we keep 4 big ones. We are definitely coming back. Our new place for fishing.

I and my dog visited the park for the first time, and we loved it. Definitely will visit again. It is safe, and nature is beautiful. The playground is nice, clean, and fenced. It is located by the restrooms in case of need. Visible. The restrooms were large also clean and provided with soap and toilet paper.
