Excellent place to feel at home. Only day i wouldn't visit is Tuesdays. Musicians are incredible and very talented. Abby & The Echos were amazing.

Dive bar with cheap beer, pool, and root ball

Wonderful neighborhood bar in East Asheville. It’s cash-only, has a pool table, and ample parking and outdoor seating. You can also play root ball if you’d like, which is like a bocce ball/horseshoes combo.

Great little dive bar with awesome service and super reasonable prices. Crowd is diverse and friendly. You gotta play Root Ball! Bartender brought us out and taught us the game, explained history. Taco truck in parking lot is phenomenal!

This is a great bar. If your looking for live original music and some pool this is the spot. Great selection of local brewed beers. Root ball is a must no matter what the weathers is like. The bar is heated by a wooden stove so you'll never be cold. The people that go there are friendly and welcoming. The bar tenders are awesome as well. If you go to Asheville and don't visit the root bar you have wasted a trip to this great city. The root bar is a must and world famous.

Great little place to hang out. Games, television, good drinks. Friendly atmosphere. Outside patio and sand pit for a game they came up with. Drinks are on par with pricing, and quality.

Can't go wrong with JGB playing from a vintage console stereo and piped outside, billiards, and an original lawn game out back. First time in and had a blast. I'll be back!

It's called the root bar. They play rootball. They have cheap craft beer. Usually some douche w an acoustic guitar onstage. Mostly guys and average looking women...everybody's friendly. Lol. Go it cool.

Love this little bar! We go here to see friend's bands, relax and have a few brews, watch root ball ... grab a bite from the food truck . Nice place to go.

Loved the dive bar atmosphere. Right across the parking lot from our hotel. Played rootball, came home and built our very own rootball court!!! Live music!
