I have been coming to Common Ground for twelve years. It has been a pleasure to watch this place grow from a ninety acre woodland to a scared space for our physical, mental and spiritual development. Common Ground offers several trails for the hiking enthusiast, a walking track, sports field, fitness stations, community garden, a playground and plenty of quiet space to be with God.

If you like sunsets, this is one of the best places to view them in Gaston County. Just park your car right in front of the walking track and watch the sun fall below the tree line. If you need alone time with God, you can visit several prayer spots along the trails or take a look inside the prayer chapel located near the walking track. One of my favorite prayer spots is the Labyrinth trail.

Many of the structures you see are local Eagle Scout projects. Volunteers do an amazing job to keep the area clean and up to date. Thank you for making Common Ground an awesome place!

This church has a good assortment of walking trails that are all connected. They have trails in the woods, they have walking paths in the open fields area, and they even have a small track you can walk on. They have areas for worship asking the paths as well for those interested. There is a playground area for kids too. They keep up the grounds pretty well and I try to do my part by picking up after my due and throwing trash away in the bins. Great place for families!

I am so thankful for the people who thought of and built these grounds. It is a beautiful place to go. If you want a stroll to meditate and listen, this is the place to go. If you want to test your physical, spiritual, and mental strength, this is definitely the place to go. There's plenty of things to do. The prayer chapel is awesome and great to go in for solace.

Good walking, shadded trails in the woods, a walking track and a trail around a large field. They also have a nice playground that shaded a good portion of the day. They have a port a john, and though not my first choice, yes I have used 2 or 3 times and it is always clean.

Great place. Nice people, great to take kids to. We love the way this place makes you feel at home. My son comes here for cub scouts. And I love the environment. I come here as much as I can with my 4 babies.

I can't tell you how blessed I was to find the trails they offer. They are God centered and just plain amazing. My 5year old even stopped to hug the cross at the prayer walk and talk with Jesus.. I will walk this and spend time with my kids and God a lot more.. I'm in awe of this placr

Absolutely beautiful trails. The people at the Methodist church take fantastic care of the land and post inspirational quotes and scripture around the grounds.

What a sweet little spot to let the kids run off some energy. They even have a book exchange in the mailbox. My granddaughter loves to visit!
