Dr Logan treated me for years. He is an excellent physician. He actually helped diagnose me with Systemic Lupus.Dr Logan balances professionalism with a genuine concern for his patient. Had he not moved from my area, I would choose to see him.

I have been a patient of Dr.Logan for over 10 + years with multiple autoimmune illnesses.
When I call doctor Logan with serious concerning rheumatological symptoms and always, my concerns are dismissed as not rheumatological. I have to suffer for days weeks and even years. It has been standard operation all this time at doctor Logan office.
I had symptoms of Autoimmune thyroid disease that doctor Logan said is rare and not possible in addition to my Sjogerns, so I suffer for 8 years before getting my thyroid autoimmune diagnosis! My thyroid function literally disappeared from bloodwork which force me to spend 3 months of bed rest.
Not one thyroid antibody bloodwork thyroid test by doctor Logan in 8 years of symptoms. If he did, I would not suffer and loose so much work and income.
Doctor Logan, told my my Fatty Liver condition isn’t complication from any of my autoimmune diseases but I just need to loose weight! No referrals, no additional testing.
After suffering for 3 years, endocrinologist confirmed that in fact my fatty liver disease is a result of my autoimmune thyroid disease. I had to do my own google searches to figure out that in fact, non alcoholic fatty liver disease, can be caused by autoimmune thyroid disease. Why doctor Logan couldn’t give me this information or referral is beyond me.
I have chronic migraines since beginning of my first autoimmune illnesses 10 years + and also was dismissed by doctor Logan that it’s not related to any of my autoimmune diseases. Neurologist just diagnosed me with neurological complications from my autoimmune diseases.
Doctor Logan, after diagnosing me with Lupus, told me it was extension of my Sjogerns and not really Lupus. Even straight forward question, if I have Lupus, he ignored.
I had to talk to my primary doctor in order to get my clear answer if I have or not Lupus disease because doctor Logan have never told me. How do I supposed to live with serious disease like Lupus without knowing my diagnosis.
This is just few instances but I can recall many more similar situations with doctor Logan.
It’s very hard for me to travel due to my disabilities and doctor Logan is the only rheumatologist in Boone but he lives me no choice but to look for another rheumatologist, as I can not take any more dismissal and hurtful cut and dry treatment that literally makes me cry after talking to doctor Logan.

I saw Dr Logan over three months ago. His office has yet to work with my insurance to get a simple prior authorization. I have called the dr office several times. My pharmacy has called the dr office. My insurance has called the dr office. Not to mention Dr Logan’s office did manage to cancel my current prescription. I wasn’t supposed to stop that medicine until I got my new medicine. So I was actually better off before I saw Dr Logan. I think Logan is a good Dr with a terrible staff.

Never before have I had a physician be so dismissive of questions I had regarding my treatment plan. Newly diagnosed, I had a few questions about treatment options and prognosis. Dr. Logan was condescending as he replied that I wouldn’t be asking the questions I had “if I was in organ failure”. Newly diagnosed and prescribed a medication by Dr Logan, I also had questions about my new prescription that were never answered. Dr. Logan failed to follow the prescribing guidelines for my new prescription medication. Having a prior history of being highly allergic to several medications, my first dose was supposed to be done at the physician’s office. When I inquired about this, I was told that I would have to wait for 2-3 weeks for an appointment with the physician. I later found out through my primary care physician that all that the rheumatology office needed to do was schedule a nurse appointment which was readily available in the rheumatology practice. After only a few appointments with Dr Logan, I requested a referral from primary care to another rheumatologist. Best medical decision I have ever made.
