Towering Oaks Event and Retreat Center

I cannot recommend this venue enough! Towering oaks created a fairytale for my wedding weekend, and I’m convinced there is magic in the old oak trees.

Renting the venue for the entire weekend is the way to go and a bargain for all that is included. Our guests were thrilled with a true Texas experience and all the details that came with it, including a hot southern breakfast. Thank y’all for the requested biscuits and gravy ;)

Emily is the wedding bestie every bride needs. She is calm, honest, and listens to all questions and concerns. She is organized and has excellent communication. She coordinated with outside vendors and truly went above and beyond for the entire weekend to run like a well oiled machine.

Tye (the owner) is a behind the scenes magician. He truly understands weddings and unique needs a certain esthetic might require. He has stocked the venue with everything you could possibly need for a dreamy day/weekend from microphones, to card boxes, to tubs for sparklers, to a large selection of wedding and table scape decor.

When I had difficulty securing a catering company that could accommodate a variety of dietary needs for our rehearsal dinner, the team took it upon themselves to not only reach out to a contact they had, but also create a menu. It was delicious and our guests were thrilled.

If I could do the weekend again, I would not change a single thing. It truly was perfection.

Stayed at Towering Oaks for the weekend for my daughter's wedding. First, our hosts Tye, along with Emily and the remaining staff, were superb with their service and responses. Secondly, the property was spacious, quiet, and beautiful. I loved waking each morning with the sunrise watching the neighboring sheep grazing in the fields next to the pond. It was also nice taking my nephew fishing in the pond on property and taking a short hike through the woods. The rooms had all the amenities typically needed and the bed was really comfortable.

The amenities of the property make this an ideal location for a wedding and reception.

Hosted a Bridal party and Rehersal dinner at Towering Oaks and it was amazing! Everyone was responsive, organized, kind and helpful and the venue itself was beautiful and set up for fun. We used the pool area for the dinner and it was perfect for a group celebration. All the rooms were comfortable and well appointed and the provided breakfasts were delicious. A final positive was the stellar communication. Planning something to accommodate almost 30 people for meals, a hosted dinner and lodging from a distance requires planning and input from staff on site and it was handled flawlessly with many helpful suggestions and input offered.

DJ'd a wedding there. Well planned venue. They have Bluetooth speakers and effect lights through out. Sound was solid from every angle of the room. Emily is a delight.

Wedding Planner here - I had a wedding to coordinate at Towering Oaks in November and Tye, Krystal and staff were beyond accommodating and helpful. We had transportation issues and they pitched in late at night to help me find a new company. The bar service didn’t bring champagne and Tye whipped out bottles to make the champagne wall happen. I really can’t even begin to rave about this venue, Tye (the owner), Krystal and staff. They were friendly, helpful, fun and a joy to work with. They grounds are impeccable and the house is just stunning for guests to stay at. Just simply amazing!

AirBnB/Pre-visit: My daughter, wife, and I rented out the Fort Worth room after booking our wedding weekend as a trial run. Lovey space, well kept with many room details, and it was wonderful seeing first hand how our family guests would be treated (like royalty)! Our southern style breakfast was perfect and available as we went downstairs in the morning.

Lodging: My wife and I rented the site out for Friday-Monday. Towering Oaks housed 23 of our family members for the weekend, and included breakfast everyday for our guests (side note: they also accommodated our 40 additional locally housed family members for a reasonable fee for breakfast). The rooms, living space and outdoor area were well equipped with all the items we needed such as earplugs in the rooms, fireplace ready, coffee & tea stations, and many details that were personalized touches to really make you feel like home. The newly built red oak lodge also echoed the same quality space.

Coordination & Vendor Management: Leading up to our wedding weekend we were frequently communicated with, we booked over a year in advance and always felt in the know. Their coordination services coupled with our day-of event planner made for a seamless weekend. One of our outside vendors fell through last minute and they saved the day by referring to us two additional vendors for same day transportation services! THANK YOU!

Activities: There was a lake outside in the backyard that our family loved fishing in. Towering Oaks provided fishing poles and tackle box. It was around 30-40 degrees throughout the weekend so we only used the hot tub. We look forward to returning for a day in summer to swim in the large pool. We brought a cornhole game out (even though they had one onsite) and played music while keeping warm by the outdoor warmers. In the evening, we selected a movie night, hot chocolate, and smores package for the back patio area. A large pool table in front of a flat screen TV in the living room accommodated our football fans on Sunday. There is a piano in the living room that we hired a pianist for on Sunday after breakfast.

High-quality customer service: Cristal, Tye, Emily, and Yvonne were extremely personable and offered the best customer service experience most of our guests including ourselves have ever had. We enjoyed their services, conversations, and positive energy throughout the weekend. If you're looking to host a wedding weekend, an event or just getting away for a day you found the perfect place. We organize/coordinate many events professionally and personally and have yet to match this amazing venue and its services. We highly recommend staying at this unique gem of a venue! I am a wedding planner and had the chance to plan my first wedding this past Saturday at Towering Oaks. I helped the couple locate the venue and they wanted some place for family to stay as well. I had never done an event at Towering Oaks before but knew of them through networking. The process from start to finish was amazing. The attention to detail and willingness to answer my questions was so helpful. The final meeting is held at the venue itself and Tye and Crystal were there to help run it. Going through the flow of the day made the couple feel so at ease!

Come to the wedding weekend and Tye was awaiting with margaritas to end the rehearsal. His team, Crystal and Emily were so on top of everything. They moved the ceremony arrangements inside before we even got to them. The customer service is unmatched and it did not go un-noticed from guests. Anyone looking for a venue that has it all (legit, it includes so much!) look no further. Hoping for many more weddings at Towering Oaks!

Our stay at Towering Oaks was 10/10 excellent! The staff was very attentive and greeted us immediately upon arrival. We stayed in the Fort Worth room which was perfect size for three of us (one child plus couple). They also had cott that was available as well. The space was clean and had great amenities throughout the premises. The breakfast food was perfect and we took a nice morning walk afterwards. Peaceful and relaxing!

We booked a stay to experience Towering Oaks prior to our Wedding weekend stay. We enjoyed every moment of it. Looking forward to getting married in Fall 2022! Thank you Tye and Katie!

We had our daughters wedding there and it was perfect. The staff and Krystal were amazing and so attentive to all the details. Very hospitable and put us all at ease.

Our family gathered here for Thanksgiving. The property is quiet and beautiful. The home is spacious and well equipped. Our family of 15 was very comfortable! We had plenty of space to gather but also areas to spread out in during down time. Tye and Katie were beyond helpful before and during our stay. Daily breakfasts were very popular and a wonderful way to start the day together at breakfast. Would definitely recommend!

I stayed here as a guest for an engagement party and I could not have asked for a better experience. The house was beautiful, smelled lovely, and had everything we needed. The venue, helpfulness of the staff, and the way everything was taken care of added to the absolutely whimsical feel of the event! We could not handpick a better host, and currently planning to return. Thank you to the magnificent host who had our needs met from our first day through our departure. We appreciate you do, and we will be back.

Beautiful location, very serene, peaceful, and beautiful home, rooms. Service is great food is good. You can reserve a room for a weekend getaway, good for a family reunion, wedding venue. There's this house and another little house just steps away from the main house, has about 4 bedrooms. Give them a call to inquire.

WILL NOT GET MORE FOR YOUR BUCK ANYWHERE ELSE! Tye, Nicolas, Anahi and Rosa along with Mr. John and Mrs.Tammy continuously went above and beyond all weekend anticipating everyones needs. As a coordinator, having a venue team that is willing to make the vision happen is so important. The Texas City themed rooms are beautifully decorated. they even provide robes, slippers, ear plugs and eyemask:) Not to mention they hosted us the whole weekend and we didn't have any septic issues in any of the 10+ toilets on property. Breakfast every day was such a relief! Hot and fresh with juicy fruits and a yummy cranberry concotion you must try. Towering Oaks has really thought of so many little details that makes a weekend wedding that much more memorable. Rehearsal dinner, Movie Night, Smores all included! Kiddos joined us on Sunday and caught 2 pretty good sized bass. The list goes on...If you are on the fence, you're going to miss out on a great place! I will be back to coordinate here for sure!!! As a wedding planner, I always worry when a couple books a venue before hiring me on. I was so very lucky when my couple booked here. The bed and breakfast is STUNNING and is a great place for family and friends to rent out for the weekend, doing so allowed us to have the extra set up time that we needed! The gazebo was the perfect ceremony spot. It's quiet and looks over a pond which created the perfect atmosphere for my couple's ceremony. The event hall is beautiful as well and is decorated in neutral colors so it matches any color scheme! Tamera and her team were so beyond helpful. I cannot wait to bring more of my couples to Towering Oaks Haven!

Excellent retreat spot to unwind and relax. Tye(host) was awesome. Attended to all of our needs during our family reunion. He graciously setup a movie outdoors for all our kids. Will definitely recommend to others who are looking for a spot to relax and enjoy the outdoors.

Such a wonderful ambience, romance is definitely in the air around Towering Oaks. The main hall is rustic but polished, elegant without being stuffy. The rooms of the main house, all 3 stories, are very inviting, and decorated with Texas charm and warmth. In a word: magical...I would highly recommend and cannot wait to visit again.

Towering Oaks Haven is such an incredibly special place to host a wedding! We loved the venue, the vendor recommendations, the staff, and the vibe of the space! I toured an amazing Wedding Retreat venue in Valley View Texas! The owner Tye’s experience in design was breath taking. Imagine having a whole weekend to enjoy your wedding! Rehearsal night, swim in the pool. Sunrise video shot in slow motion, wedding day! After party all night then rest peacefully in one of the themed bedrooms. I didn’t snap any photos of the reception hall but it’s huge with a nice fireplace, dance floor lighting, and speakers to play your music. I’m looking forward to celebrating a wedding or corporate retreat event at Towering Oaks 😍

We had our daughter's wedding/reception there on 7 July. Couldn't have asked for a more perfect venue. The grounds and the home are fantastic as is the staff. What a wonderful day we had full of beautiful memories. We are so pleased with the effort that was provided by the management and staff to make our daughter's special day absolutely perfect!
