The only place I can find manicotti - delicious! Always order extra garlic bread - it's awesome. My mother-in-law had the Chicken Parmigiana and she said it was the best she's had. I love that the food comes out super hot. The atmosphere is interesting and you can entertain yourself by seeing how many celebrities you can recognize. All around good experience.

A nice family place that we had lunch at. Everything was fresh ingredients, served hot to our table. The waitress was prompt, friendly and helpful in providing more information to us before we made our menu selection. Nice pictures and Italian feeling surroundings.

I used to love this place, but they have changed. Now you have to order before you are even seated and after you are seated you don't see a waitress until you get your food. Then you don't see a waitress again until you're ready to leave. So, no tea refills unless you walk up to where you pay and ask for some.

Still the best tasting Italian for the price in San Antonio. Interesting the way they have resolved their wait staff problem, but it works. I had the Italian sausage and peppers and it's still outstanding. And the pictures and posters make it the most interesting place to sit and talk about with friends or family.

Absolutely the best Italian Ive had. This is the first time in a long time we take the family out dining under $100. We ordered the Shrimp Alfredo, the hero sub, the lasagna combo, spaghetti, and calamari. The garlic bread is so buttery, although the lasagna could use more meat, less ricotta, everything was amazing. We will be frequent customers. 💕😋

Fun atmosphere and great Italian food. Wine, beer, cake and pies as well. Their garlic toast is the best anywhere. Pasta is never mushy. Everywhere you look there are pictures of classic entertainers and other memorabilia.

So before you think I'm crazy for ordering meatloaf at an obviously Italian restaurant, it was the special of the day and the cashier said "it's amazing and made only once a month." Man, she wasn't kidding! It's got to take a whole month to make a dish so delicious and filled with homemade goodness! ❤ First off, let's talk about the garlic bread... who woulda thought something so simple could be so delicious, but it was: Toasty buttery goodness!! The obviously hand-mashed potatoes w/ just the right amount of potato skins mixed in this fluffy, creamy mixture was the absolutely perfect side for the main attraction, THE MEATLOAF! Great meaty texture with crisp edges off the grill and an amazing velvety brown sauce like I've never had before. I ordered it on the side as I usually find them not to be so delightful, yet I found myself pouring it over the meatloaf right away and dipping everything thing I could into it! Even those unassuming baby carrots in an herbed butter sauce were able to shine through on their own in this amazing cast of characters! Need to start marking dates down on my calendar as the last time I was here I had the Chicken Fried steak, which was also monthly. Hopefully, eventually, I'll get to some of the other dishes on their menu! Last thing, if you've never been here, every inch of this place is filled with movie star memorabilia from throughout the past decades. It's a quiet, and dim, and extremely relaxing atmosphere to escape from your daily routine. Stop by.

Was really surprised when went in and it was on order at counter place but lady was very nice and helpful. The people bringing the food out and doing refills and such were great too. Lasagna and Spaghetti were good, the garlic bread was great. The desserts were good too.

🍂 Papa Dante's is still the place to go. Been awhile since I have been here... Enjoyed the Lasagna and Spaghetti for a Late Lunch today. We had Lasagna & Spaghetti w/ Bolognese Meat Sauce and also Meatball Spaghetti Dish w/ a Dinner Salad 😍 The Food was great and Loved the Bolognese Meat Sauce on their Lasagna & Spaghetti Dish. Dante's staff was super friendly and the atmosphere makes you feel very comfortable and relaxed while being there, especially viewing so many pictures of all the Celebrities as you can see in the pictures 😍 My only issue was the Salad... ONE CHERRY TOMATO AND ONE BLACK OLIVE they said 🤷‍♂ I love at least a small portion of Tomatoes & Black Olives on my Salad 😀

Came here with my family for dinner. The food was top notch. I had manicotti and garlic bread. The bread was the best I've ever had 👌 It was soft and airy but uber buttery. The manicotti was perfectly made and delicious. The dessert selction is incredible, and you can't go wrong. The only downside is the hours are very limited. Highly recommend!

It's been a couple years since my last visit. I have to say, their food is absolutely the same, fresh and so flavorful. Can't forget to mention their garlic bread, the best- buttery, crispy 😋. Also, the owner said that though the hours state that they close at 6pm, they'll accept customers even if we come 5 minutes till close and would gladly serve us till we finish. I was happy to hear that.

Our first visit, definitely not our last. What a fantastic place! The menu is varied, the food is delicious, service was upbeat, friendly and quick. There is so much to see (and eat!) that you can be there for hours and not realize it, haha. Plus it was quiet enough to actually hold a conversation without yelling!
This place is a win☆

Great comfort food/Italian food. I love the Frank Sinatra meatball sandwich. Haven't been in almost 7 years and went today and it was just as I remembered. Slightly on the pricey side for a sub and and a salad at 20$ but worth it. They have great desserts as well but held off getting one this time out. I love the decorations in the place as you can read and look at the walls and never get bored.

Nice place with a bunch of oldies memorabilia. Very clean, the portions are BIG so me and my girlfriend got the small plates and an appetizer and it was perfect. The chicken Alfredo wasn't exactly char grilled but the seasoning that was used on the chicken was nice. I'll definitely be back to try a pizza and dessert.

Awesome family owned restaurant! They are such a nice and friendly family. I had my daughters sweet 16 at the Bella on the Vine venue located behind the main building and they went above and beyond. Everything looked amazing and was ready to go on time and exactly as we expected. John and Karen Dante are such kind people!

It is a very nice place. I absolutely loved the food. The service was great. We went this Friday night. My family will be coming back. There could be an upgrade on the booths. Mark was a great server! Shout out to him.

Our favorite Italian restaurant in the San Antonio area. It's everything an Italian restaurant should be--great food, ample portions, great atmosphere, and best of all, family run. Also a great antepasta salad, and one of the few Italian restaurants that even have it in the menu.
