Church's Texas Chicken

Food was fresh and hot. Very tasty chicken and biscuits. Better service then McDonald's. Didn't even have to ask for napkins or hot sauce. The employee Jesus knows his job.

Didn't get my fries, but I should know better to check my order before leaving! I don't think it was on purpose due to it being busy!

The manager there is so respectful. I walked in and a customer was going off and was saying some very mega things to the manager. The manager maintained her professionalism. I felt so bad for her. She didn’t deserve that. Every time I eat there I enjoy the food. My favorite is the macaroni.

This is my regular lunch or dinner destination. This particular branch is my favorite. It's actually the 3rd store built in the history of this restaurant.

Staff is hospitable and the place is always kept clean. I love how clean the bathroom is as well.

Now for the main event: In my opinion, Church's not only has some of the best-tasting chicken - you also enjoy the great taste without having to spend much. I spend $3.24 after tax for a 2-piece fried chicken feast that includes one jalapeño and their famous buttered honey biscuit. I request for 2 spicy crispy thighs. Amazing taste.

I would say that Church's is the best is not one of the best fried chicken places in Texas and thus far its my best compared to other states I've been at.

Kudos to Melissa and her staff for making my stay at Church's always to hunger for. God bless y'all.

Came by today, Friday 21 Jan 2022. There was a long line around 2pm, but the lady taking orders on the drive through was very efficient, polite and spoke clearly. The line moved with smooth consistency and my order was exactly as placed. I love this chicken SO MUCH!! I'm glad this location has worked out the wrinkles I experienced previously. I'll be back!

I came here to the drive through after the lunch rush around 1PM on October 1st. The experience was GREAT. The lady at the drive through spoke clearly, was cheerful and polite, and brought out my order when it was ready. Excellent service, good Church's food that I always anticipate.

I've come here twice since my original posting. Each time I ordered a 12 piece MIXED original. The first time they told me they were totally out of white meat. Not delighted, but okay. Yesterday, March 17 2021, I again ordered a 12 piece mixed meal, with biscuits and fried okra. There was not a single piece of white meat in the order when I got home. My husband really prefers white meat. There were six thighs and six legs. What is wrong here? The chicken and sides are great, but why can they not get an order right?

Tuesday, May 23, 2023:. REDEMPTION! My husband and I did a drive through here around 1pm. We ordered a 12 piece mixed, with mashed potatoes and gravy, and okra. First, it was piping hot and stayed that way all the way home. Secondly, when I unpacked our order, the six pieces white and six pieces dark were boxed separately. Very good idea. The okra and potatoes were very good. Welcome back!

Friday Nov 3, 2023: Got our usual 12 piece mixed with okra & mashed potatoes with gravy. Fresh, hot, with great service. I want a nap now. 🙂

Always fresh hot crispy chicken just like I remember from my childhood. The crew are friendly although some days they seem to be under extra pressure, but that I suppose is due to the shortage of employees from the pandemic. Still no dine in available ( I miss that). Keep up the excellent work ethic. I appreciate you.

Best church’s I have gotten in a long time! They renovated and it taste like it too😂😂. Great food! Chicken taste fresh, mash was so good with the extra gravy, bombers were spicy 🤤 and I can go on. The church’s chicken on Walzem! Chicken was hot and fresh, need work on customer service area in the store. But overall the cook was pleasant and the food was great.

I ordered the number 1 and the chicken was hot... crunchy and juicy. The biskit was soft and buttery..the mash potatoes and gravy were awesome.

It was almost closing time....long day at work kids hungry...got home with their favorite Church's chicken...opened box to serve them and it was dry and over fried...
So upset I just tossed it trash...sandwiches it was.

Lady had us to park and said it may be a few min to receive food. Food was hot chicken real fresh close to closing time . She also brought out all condiments I requested. Excellent customer service on a Sunday night .

Every time I go my food is fresh and quick. I chose to dine in and the lobby was as clean as I had expected. The managers are also very friend and the staff is always tending a customer or reassuring the restaurant is in tip top shape

I worked here before and they're always on point ad time. Foods always fresh.

Ya'll, this church's is Hustling! They are seriously understaffed. I wish I caught the woman's name...she was taking orders, WHILE car-hopping, AND packing orders, AND going in back to the kitchen, AND grabbing everyone's "extras" (napkins, honey) ...She Deserves a Raise. Very nice. The most important thung is kindness. If food is good but no manner and bad attitude, never ever visit again. Thank you guys, you guys are very nice.

The 2 piece mixed spicy was delicious. Coleslaw was as good as it usually is. Biscuit was a little hard on top for my liking.

I do visit this particular churches Chicken frequently and I've never had a problem with them the stuff is always so pleasant and the food is delicious
