St Monica Catholic Church

We attended the funeral Mass for my closest friend’s son on Wednesday, 3/6/24. The parish parking was quite ample for the almost 120 cars and 8 motorcycles. The church was very clean, air circulation excellent and comfortable. I especially love that BOTH the Crucifix and the Blessed Sacrament were at the center of the altar! That’s where they should be - at the forefront and CENTRAL for all to venerate upon entering! My local parish does not display the crucifix, but rather Jesus’ Resurrection, and the Blessed Sacrament is located to the right (almost HIDDEN)! 😞

After the funeral at Ft Sam, we returned to the parish hall for lunch provided by friends and family. The staff was most accommodating and welcoming to the Chamorro (Guam community) who were setting up the buffet and dining room. They treated us like FAMILY! That’s the true Christian spirit - to manifest our Catholicism universally!

I love going to mass here, when I'm in Converse, Texas, I feel so welcome and loved there.

St. Monica's staff is very welcoming. Members treat you like family. It is a very beautiful church, and I thoroughly enjoy attending the service there.

St. Monica's has a very special place in my heart. I've known Fr. Thumma for many years. I love his funny jokes and he will always a special place in our hearts since the early days at OLPH where our 5 children were nurtured by his leadership and that of so many special people at OLPH school, Mr. Talbert for one.

Beautiful church. We come here when my mother visits since she prefers Spanish mass. Very organized, nice music great priest. I would make this my permanent church but my husband feels at home at the church in Randolph. Totally recommend both churches

I went to the Sunday mass at 5pm English mass but have also attended the Spanish mass the previous Sunday at 1pm. Both experiences were positive. Welcoming environment and if it's full according to Covid-19 guidelines then you attend mass virtually in another building. Sunday 5pm choir was beautiful and there's a lot of less people at this mass. 1pm choir is beautiful as well but be early because the audio is not as good in the other building

Beautiful church. I moved from Houston and this church made me feel like home. The people are nice and always welcoming. ❤❤

Very disappointed in parishioners with noisy children , not using cry room
Such a distraction for the rest of congregation...
Parents tend to ignore noisy children or they take part in children noise..
Maybe adults should be in cry room

I have been attending St. Monica's for over 10 years. I love this parish and our Priests who bring out the best in our parishioners. Very welcoming and loving community.

Lovely service and beautiful grounds. I'm new to town and I felt welcome by the fellow parishioners during the mass. Everyone practiced ice social distancing as well. Overall just a good experience.

A beautiful Catholic Church. All of tge Parish Priests are friendly, kind, and helpful. I attend every Sunday. You will enjoy this parish. Down-to-earth priests and parishioners.
