Awesome place - true comfort food. Such a pleasure seeing a family run business like this that serves really generous portions for a great price. Classic Chinese American cuisine, a real treat.

This is a wonderful restaurant in an out of the way spot where one might not expect something so good. The menu is very large and covers a broad range of Asian cuisine. The portions are generous despite that the prices are very modest. Open 7 days a week, this restaurant is very popular with locals and visitors alike.

A family restaurant run by a family. Great value for good food. I often get chicken with snow peas after skiing or boating, with enough left over to bring home for late night snack or to re-heat for lunch the next day.

We love to get the lunch specials on an occasional Monday. The online menu doesn't always work right so we call in to pickup takeout. Two lunch specials will feed 2 adults and 2 toddlers.
We also like their sushi and have had that as a reasonably-priced treat a few times.

This was the best Chinese food I’ve ever tasted. Service was amazing and food was even better. Will definitely be back for more!

Christine and her family staff really saved us during the Pandemic. At a certain point just could not be home cook 24/7, very friendly and safe during COVID. Love the boneless ribs, hot and sour soup. Veggies very fresh. Considering how far we are from a Chinatown, this serves the community well. Very grateful for the food in generous portions, and the reasonable prices. Look forward to eating in this spring!

Family run restaurant. Clean restrooms. Reasonably priced. Family style servings and decent portion sizes. Our hostess Christine, was able to accommodate our vegetarian requests, and checked on us several times to make sure we were set. We ordered Pad Thai and a tofu dish. Both were done well. Neither was stingy on the tofu. Look forward to coming back.

Everyone is pleasant. Food is always hot when picked up and order is always correct. Price is fair for being Chinese food, especially in Kent. Food is great and tastes fresh. Only place I go to if the family wants Chinese food.

As a parent to a child with food allergies, it’s difficult to find a restaurant that truly cares about allergens. Shanghai listens carefully and goes the extra mile to accommodate my daughter’s needs. It’s a great comfort plus the food is always delish! Prices are reasonable, it’s COVID safe and you’re always greeted with a smile.

BEST Chinese food in Litchfield county. Were from NY, every single Chinese food restaurant in New Milford is disgusting, but this Chinese food restaurant is amazing. Everything is good!! Everything.

Very good food. The family that runs it used to run a restaurant in NYC's Chinatown, so it's legit. Higher quality than most other chinese places. Big thumbs up!
