Beautiful and peaceful place to chill by the water, or hangout & play at the playground !!

Yesterday after Joshua and I had a great lunch, we decided to check out the Edith B. Barill Riverfront Park & Trail in Star City area of Morgantown.
The park is free to enjoy. There is plenty of parking. Some decking style docks along river to stroll, a gazebo, a few shelters & picnic tables (no grills) there is a very nice bathroom facility near the oversized Children's fabulous playground with swings.

Plenty of signage depicting the history with photos along with name plaques for the trees. Some beautiful wildflowers and wildlife including plenty of ducks with babies.
Definitely a great little place to enjoy some fresh air. There is also a shaved ice truck and you can rent paddle bikes for the river. Several nice memorials including one of President JFK

A cute little park! It’s fenced in which is great for littles! Right next to the river. You can walk down and see the ducks!

Awesome little park to take the kiddo. He love to play on the playground and have a picnic. There are nice restrooms and plenty of parking.

There are times this is a pit stop for me when I am riding my bike with the kiddo. There is a bike repair station if needed.

We like this park on cool days because sunshine goes right through and it’s not shaded. It’s closed off except from one side so i don’t have to worry about my kids leaving the park from the back side. The mulch is old tires and kind of odd. I don’t like the sand pit because there is something like fluffy filling in there once my kids go deep enough. They always try to get in that sand pit.

Great place to let the littles run free as there is only one way in/out. There are restrooms, seats, and a book box where you can leave books for others to read. There is a restaurant next door and your right off the rail trail and river. We love this playground.

Great place for kids to play. There is also a trail for biking or walking. For anyone who plays Pokemon Go, there are several stops and a few gyms within walking distance.

Completely awesome Park the biggest one around what the coolest layout and even has a fence around it so you don't have to worry about the little ones running off! Thanks for building this wonderful place!

A pleasant park by the water and rail trail. Good for younger elementary kids. It has a couple of picnic tables and grills and a fishing platform. Nice place.

Cute playground by the river. Run/jog/walk/bike trail along the riverbas well.

This is a quaint little play area in a nice friendly area. Nice equipment, everything is solid and no signs of rust or anything like that. If you need anything, there is both vending machines and a nearby cafe.

Great park for kids, nice trail as well. I would recommend this place.

Such a nice playground, gets crowded on the weekends though. Enjoyed fishing there. My daughter loves watching ducks and geese there.

My son loves playing here. There are usually other kids at the playground. The park is kept clean.

Great little park, lots of things for the kids to play on with lots of room to run. A bonus is that it's right on a bike trail.

Nice little park. Has a boat launch and some benches so one can chillax. Watch out for jerk geese.
