Quality Inn Scottsboro US/72-Lake Guntersville Area

With over 100 nights stayed in Choice properties all over the Country, I was concerned about having to pick a Quality Inn due to previous stays. What a pleasure this choice....turned out to be. While the hotel is a bit dated, the owners have done a great job with updates and modifications. But....the real treasure to be found was working with JoLene when we checked in. I highly advise other properties to see if she can come and teach their staff on how to make a first impression along with customer service. She did an outstanding job.

The front desk evening shift lady was very courteous and helpful. Our room smelled great and was clean. We had a nice amount of towels and coffee. The staff is friendly. We had a nice breakfast. Our stay was wonderful. I drove out of the way to come to this hotel. This hotel is worth the drive.

Booked online so being able to gets various discount like veterans changed the promo code to void. But for booking more than 1 night stay made it cheaper,, making reservation was easy. The reception / front desk lady was very nice great hospitality, said should call them in person for better deals, room was king smoking , room was large pre-cooled for the summer temps. So was nice and cool inside. There was an counter space for sitting in office chair and nice slender light for using your laptop ect microwave, refridge tall one, storage drawers that were designed to make more convenience for your belongings iton and full iton board , hair dryer, lg bathroom , coffee maker and condiments to make coffee tea ect. Nice full breakfast in lobby from 6 am till 9am. Washer dryer ice machine vending machines in breezeway and the pool was nice not too deep up to 5ft deep but just right to lounge and cool off in the heat . There were lots of guest this weekend but it was very quiet no slamming doors or loud people. Room entries are all from out side no having to make long trek up serveral floors and long hallways. My visit was wonderful. My only suggestion is that they might want to air out the smoking rooms more often, and put some air freshener in them for guest to freshen the rooms with.

Had a rather odd recent experience with a booking here online, and the staff was incredibly kind and professional at handling it. (Absolutely not the fault of the hotel) My dad and I have been Choice hotel members for several years, and the professionalism and care of Keily the manager was above and beyond. Can't thank them enough for ensuring all the issues were resolved.
I can't honestly speak for the rooms; however, the lobby was immaculate when they were fully booked for a fishing tournament, which is an impressive feat.
This is an easy to find location, centrally located near hwy 72 and hwy 35. I would highly recommend a stay here. If there were to ever be issues with your stay, I hope the staff treat you as well as they did us.

The manager here is just lovely. Also all workers we came in contact with were nice and pleasant as well. Manager is very knowledgeable of her surrounding area and has good references on places to go and check out.. or to eat..ect. We will definitely be back! Did not get to see everything we wanted to.. so will be planning another trip😉

This has to be the best motel I have stayed at for quite some time. The room was clean, the restroom was clean. The person at the check in was friendly. The room was dark and quiet. My 2 complaints: they have those uncomfortable 1/4 pillows and when the air conditioner shuts off it is so hot you start to sweat. Give us back grown folks pillows and put a ceiling fan over the bed and this would be the perfect place to stay

This was a great place to stay. My room wats clean except for what looked like some sticky spill on the nightstand, that was hard to notice by glancing. The breakfast was great and the staff was friendly. Awesome black out curtains as well!

Room was nice and big but didn't have a chair for the desk. Not much to choose from for breakfast. Customer service was friendly. Evening manager was super friendly. Plenty of clean towels in the bathroom.

The staff is so nice and made us feel welcome! Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. The continental breakfast didn't have any hot food but the instant oatmeal and grits were good enough. We will be back :)

The rooms are spacious and clean, as clean as hotels get anyways. The staff is very friendly and the place is well lit up at night. I felt safe and comfortable. The breakfast is great. If only the butter wasn't so hard or they had a microwave to soften it, it would have been perfect.

Very nice rooms . Comfy beds. The people there are wonderful. Booked a four night stay. When we arrived they were in process of a renovation which we were in one of them and they are very nice. I pulled up to our room and there were working on the room above us. When the workers were done they did not completely clean their mess up so when I left to go eat dinner I somehow ran over a roofing nail and received a flat tire. I went to the front desk and told them what happened and he called the manager Keily. She came to my room and apologized over and over. To make a story short she made all the accomadations up of me having to have my tire replaced. Will most definitely stay here again.

Great room, staff was very accommodating and friendly. Clean rooms and the maid service was top notch.

We spent a night in this hotel in Sept. 2018. It is the best bang for the buck in any hotel that I have ever stayed in. I would have thought I had paid twice the amont that we paid for the room. Motel was clean, comfortable and breakfast was very well done. Staff very friendly and nice. I would stay again if I were in the area.

Our stay at Quality In, Scottsboro, AL was very good. Room was good value. The entire staff at this hotel deserves a 10. They make every effort to make your stay comfortable and make sure every guest knows they are anxious to help in every way. Special thanks to Keilly. I wish I could find employees like her for our businrss, she is exceptional!

My mom's text this morning, "You get a 100. Even Grandpa says best bed best pillow ever in a motel. This is high marks. It was a nice place..." My parents (not computer folks) loved staying here last night! My parents are older and don't use computers much, so I booked this room for them.

This place was a lovely surprise and a good find. Looking for a cheap motel in the Scottsboro area, I stumbled upon this location after looking at 2 nearby places. I was expecting another outdated, musty, just barely clean enough room but was pleasantly suprised. I got a better rate than the other places and the rooms were recently remodeled with a modernish country style vibe. The staff was the increasingly rare American, southern neighbor friendly type. Every single staff member I encountered went out of their way to make sure I had everything I needed. They have free WiFi and a huge breakfast with hot foods and pastries and waffles. It was quiet and clean around the whole place not just the rooms. I wish I got this treatment everywhere I went. This is definitely a gem of a place. Do not let your instincts fool you. There are nice places with great rates hidden among the typical assumptions of what budget friendly places are like. 5++++ stars for sure.
