Black Bear Evansdale

Fast Casual and Delicious!

I’ve enjoyed Black Bear for many years, but this was my first experience at the Evansdale location. This place was popping for 5pm on a rainy Friday. I love the large spacious dining room. Very clean, too.

We ordered a Irie Member burrito and a the Cannonbowl Run. Both delicious with the burrito on the spicy side. We added queso and guacamole with chips which are both great options with generous portions. You get your money’s worth. This place is a great value. I ordered a margarita but I’d opt for a beer next time. They have a great beer selection.

I would visit again and again.

We were looking for a dog friendly restaurant as we were visiting Cheat Lake and hiking with our dogs. The other require was a vegan or vegetarian options. This restaurant checked off both boxes. It wasn't busy when we visited (mid day) but it looks like the restaurant can handle large crowds (most likely on game days)

The ordering process was fast casual as we ordered and paid ahead of time at the register. It is self service drink station and they give you a table number and you can sit anywhere and they will bring your food to the table

The food was very good. They had a vegan bacon that my wife enjoyed but she didn't realize the cheddar cheese that came on the wrap was not vegan based. It would have been nice if the order taker would have asked to omit the cheese but I guess she could have paid more attention to the ingredients on the menu description. I got the Caesar wrap which was very tasty. We also ordered chip with guacamole. The portions were great for the money and the flavors on point. We sat on the outside patio with our dogs and the staff very attentive and checked in with us.

Love to eat at Black Bear! We come here with friends when we want a quick and casual meal. I've never left here disappointed with the food and service is always quick! We have both celiac and vegan food restrictions in our friend group, but Black Bear can handle both! Occasionally it can get loud in the restaurant, but it really just depends on if you're there during super busy hours.

This is a vegetarian’s delight. The range of choices with easy online ordering makes this a great choice for lunch or dinner. All 3 of our burritos were excellent if not a little too big as we all had leftovers for the next day. We ordered carryout so I don’t know what the dining in experience is like but pick up was quick and easy. Great place to stop before a Mountaineers game! Let’s go!

This was my first Black Bear experience. It did not disappoint. Food was great, with many unique entrees, appetizers, and drinks including several IPA beverage options. Service was friendly and efficient and the location was clean.
Prices were competitive to the new inflation standard. Clientele seemed to be a mix of college-age folks and local millennials/X'ers.

Black Bear is a Morgantown institution! They have a large menu with many, many delicious items! Their burritos and quesadillas are awesome! It is a very unique place! Portions were generous! I had not visited since before Covid and I was very impressed! I will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend for a unique dining experience!

The food was very good. The staff was very nice. The craft beer selection was great. Only thing to be aware of is that it is you place your order and pay at the counter, then they bring it to you, and they clean up the table afterwards. If you have never been you wouldn't know that. Other than that, great place!

Really loved the experience here! The food was incredible, in particular, the guacamole was delicious. Everyone in my party loved our food and we had a bit of everything! The only thing I didn't like was that the extra veggies are a bit on the stingy side for how much extra you pay! I got roasted corn and there were only a few sparse pieces around, so I'll probably stick to plain with guac next time. Otherwise an awesome experience and a similar price range to Qdoba or Chipotle, but significantly better food!

I highly recommend this place, the food is amazing and if you meet Josh the manager he is the best in customer service.

Absolutely delicious quesadilla!! Gym's Jim has a combination of blackened meat blue cheese. A different combination that was spicy and satisfying. Good with a nice local pour 🍺

Mexican with some spice, right here in Morgantown. Nice outdoor seating. Long bar. Something for everyone. Wednesday is burger night!

Have to try the fish tacos, they were incredible.. Absolutely huge space with plenty of room inside and outside. Kept very clean and it looks like they have a stage for music. Local artists get to display and sell their art here. A favorite when visiting Morgantown.

We ordered seven meals and everything was delicious. All the staff is super friendly and helpful. 10/10

Ideal spot to have a brew and enjoy some food in a relaxing and laid back atmosphere. Perfect for a casual outing.

Black Bear, you are my soul, my great guacamole love. Your queso fills me with the joy my tummy yearns for. Night after night your bear claw beckons me to dine once more and yet my family restrains me saying, "you cant go to black bear every night!"... but I wish to. And so it is, that I must live 6 days each week knowing my heart will not be filled and my belly will find no peace. Food after Black Bear is a chore, eating pains me when I must partake but it is not from your kitchen. Even on the most beautiful days, in the most exotic locations and with the most exquisite of foods on my plate, my build your own quesadilla is all that I can think of. I know I'm home when I'm at Black Bear.

I have been to Blackbear hundreds of time, so I figured I’d finally write a review! I have literally never had something I didn’t like here. My favorites are the canonbowl, the bear trap, and the wing it wrap. The employees are always so cheery and helpful. 10/10!

Best service I've ever had. Friendly, informed, curtious, accommodating to ones needs.
Oh, and best of all, a great brew selection. 🍺

We were traveling through the area and stopped in. Food was delicious. Queso was so good I could have ate it on anything LOL
