One of the best restaurants in the northwest suburbs. The food is fresh, seasoned well, cooked to perfection, and always delicious. The staff is like family and are always friendly.

Chicken fried rice is delicious and they provide large portions. Excellent service as well, we had take out and the owner gave us quite a few additional egg rolls because we were first time customers.

I was dying to try Hunan Beijing and it didn't disappoint whatsoever!!! Hot, fresh, flavorful food! The owners were very welcoming and personable—I left with a smile. No wonder this establishment has been this successful since 1985. I left with the lunch special, which you also can't beat at $7.50! Fried rice, an entree, egg roll, and soft drink (soup if you sit-in) made for a sizable, filling portion. It's the best when you have high expectations of a restaurant, and they are met. Do visit Hunan Beijing, and you won't be disappointed. I've found my new favorite Chinese restaurant in the Northwest suburbs.

I am rating this very high due to the amazing customer service. Betty, my server, was an absolute joy. She was polite, had a contagious smile, and her bubby personality lit up the restuarant. I had gotten the Kung Pao Tofu and it was spicy and delicious!! Their menu is full of other classic Chinese-American dishes. Their lunch special was a great price as well.

This family owned businesses goes above and beyond with service. From the first phone call or entry into the restaurant you can feel their commitment to customer service. I am a gluten free customer and I was amazed that they are able to make 90% of their menu gluten free! Our large to go order was done in 20 minutes and there were no mistakes! The food tasted amazing that evening as well as reheated the following day for lunch!

Just ordered dinner here for the first time, definitely going to be our go to place. Empress chicken, beef and broccoli, everything was perfect! Very good and we’re really excited to try more! Fried bananas we’re a really fun new dessert for us. Thanks so much!!!

This was our first time ordering Hunan Beijing, and my very first review. The food was excellent, everything tasted extremely fresh (which is not how I would normally describe Chinese Cuisine). The food is extremely flavorful, we ordered pad Thai that my wife loved, my kids ate chicken friend rice with chicken and vegetables and cleared their plates and asked for seconds. I ate the curry beef which was mild heat but the curry flavor was fantastic. And the potstickers were to die for! If I could give this more than five stars I would! Will definitely recommend and order again!!!

I have had takeout from this restaurant twice and decided to try dine-in. Betty made my visit amazing! She is super friendly and really makes you feel at home. She knows the menu well and can help you with accommodations if you have an allergy, like my boyfriend and I. My food was amazing, but the service I received from Betty was the best by far. I will be returning, please support local business like this one with amazing people like Betty.

Great cuisine and wonderful staff. We felt like family.

This is very late, but I hope never too late. One of the best Chinese foods we have ever eating. Not to mention Milan, Betty and Mr. Lee. We will miss them dearly. Sad to see them go away. Thank you for making us feel at home. Thank you for all the memories

Husband had the MooShoo pork and says best he ever had. Owner was very personable. Brought us soup that we didn’t order because she wanted us to try it and brought us melon for dessert. Very good food and service. We will be back.

I came in from NYC to help my sister take care of her newborn. After feeling under the weather on a rainy day I ordered from here and let me say what an absolutely delicious gem of a place this is. Extremely well made and flavorful, you can feel the care in each meal prepared. Thank you for nursing me back to health Hunan Beijing! Everything was incredible

Very friendly owners and staff. Walked in to order and carry out - I was given free soup to eat while I waited. Multiple staff stopped by to chat.

Food was good. I got the Triple Delight (pretty spicy honestly) and the crab rangoon. Crab Rangoon could have had more filler but they were still good.

My favorite Chinese restaurant in this area. Consistently delicious. The sauces are so flavorful. Also, one of the few places that my picky eater likes. Edit: 2 yrs later, still great. Loved the Sichuan tofu and Honey Thai chicken.

I moved away from the area, but brought my boyfriend back because the food is...so...good. They use quality cuts of meat, and make extra effort to make sure you are happy with flavor and ingredients. Lee (the owner) is quite personable, and takes pride in his kitchen. Also, my parents who are vegetarian love the variety of veg dishes!

Awesome! Ordered delivery to the nearby Hoffman Hilton and they were here in less than 20 minutes. The lady on the phone was very nice and the food was outstanding. Best Chinese I've had in a long time. Wish I lived near here because it makes the numerous places in my city seem like junk.

Wonderful and fast service-just called a carry out order 15 minutes and they had it ready. A really big menu with many options but without cutting corners on taste. My favorite Chinese restaurant in the area. The people that run this place is the best part-they make you feel like family and work really hard to create a nice atmosphere.

Authentic Chinese food. Savory taste and seasonings. Waitresses are very attentive as well as the owner. Maitai are fruity and strong. The dumplings with the sauces are delicious, you will want to take them home. Prices are affordable for the amount of food you get!

I’ve lived in and out of the area for the past 25 years. Like every restaurant some things are hit and miss. The sweat and sour chick “sauce” is LITERALLY the best I’ve ever had, 25 years and I’ve never tasted sweat and sour chicken that’s better. Last year I explored the menu and stumbled upon the tofu pad Thai. Best food related decision I made all year! You can spend triple the price down the street at a place that specializes in pad Thai and it doesn’t come close to Hunan Beijing’s dish. The owners are enthusiastic and it’s always nice to see them.

We've been going to this restaurant for over 20 years. When they used to be off Golf Road. And now at the Barrington road location.

Governors chicken is an absolute must! And their potstickers are amazing!

Can't believe they only have 3.9 stars.
