While there was an emergency room wait, the whole process was efficient, the personnel courteous and the food well presented and tasty (except for the broccoli of course). I was admitted with a serious condition. I felt well cared for and my issues were resolved quickly. I would add the staff, from housekeeping to physicians, were very patient oriented and pleasant.

I stayed in the Haskell unit for 18 days. I cannot say enough how wonderful these people were to me every single day. Estelle, Andrea, Mike(Who was never my nurse, but wonderful)Amanda, Anna Marie, Kim, Jane, Que, Dee Dee, Nikki, Jenn, Agnus, thank you so much for your caring and love while I was here. As I was leaving for surgery, I was hugged and wished luck by Cindy who is a housekeeper on the floor, which was comforting and and wonderful honestly, my family had not arrived yet and i was terrified. The ENT surgeon team was impeccable and took care of me and did everything they had to do to get it right. The food service team went out of their way and were so nice . These people made me feel welcome and took care of me every step of my recovery . I had bad days and they just knew how to make it better. I am forever grateful 🙏🏻 Thank you so much!!! ❤❤ Nothern Light 10/10.

I spent 5 days, 2days of the stay in ICU , in full septic shock. Survivability for sepsis patients is roughly 50%.
At 70 yo, my chances at best were 50/50.

The staff and Dr's at N.L. Eastern were great. The nurses and Dr's did everything possible to save my life.
The only complaint is the food was terrible but you need to be in life to eat. Who cares about food when you get to see another day!
Thank you all at N.L. Eastern Hospital and specially the ICU staff.

Visited ER due to possible stroke symptoms. I'd anticipated somewhat of a wait although it was overly compensated by all the kindness and professionalism exhibited. From the lady who patrols parking garage, intake staff, phlebotomist, x-ray techs and most importantly my provider who oversaw it all my sincerest thanks. I felt I was in very competent hands that'd greatly reduced my health concerns.

Thank you so very much to the nurses on the 6th floor! Especially Kaitlin, the CNA. They all were so kind and caring for my mother while she was in care after surgery. Showed absolutely professionalism, patience and compassion ❤‍🩹
Thank you for all that you do 🙏🏻

We were very pleased with the care that my grandmother received at Northern Light. She was able to come home much earlier than anticipated. I chock that up to her determination and the great team. Everyone was very nice and professional.

Great hospital! All the staff was friendly and professional. The hospital is clean and much of it seems newer. The food is good too. I had two babies here in the recent past and can’t say enough good things about the quality of care I and my baby received. The birthing rooms were lovely and maternity rooms very nice too and private. Both times I had my babies, all 4 of the rooms I occupied had a lovely view of the Penobscot. It was a wonderful setting to endure labor and those intense first 2 days after giving birth. The TV had a nice picture and a lot of channels to choose from. They have the best ice and very good drinking water. The bathrooms are well equipped and were perfectly clean when coming into the room. The nurses respond immediately to call button. The staff is constantly asking if they can bring you or get you anything to make you more comfortable. These things may all seem trivial to some readers but anyone who has had to stay days in a hospital knows they are important. I recommend this hospital and am happy to have it somewhat nearby

I honestly have nothing bad to say about this place. Went into my first surgery and the nurses I had were by far the best ones i have ever had. Funny, kind, and answered any questions I had even though some of them I had where pretty dumb in my opinion. And my doctor was a 10/10 as well. well to be honest everybody i had was a 10/10. I felt cared for and safe with them. definitely would reccomend

Dr. Sobowale and all of the labor and delivery + postpartum team made my birthing experience more than I could ever, ever dream of. It’s been a year postpartum and I’m now moved away from Bangor, however I reflect on the quality of services and my experience there as a first time mom quite often. Bravo Northern Light for training such a wonderful staff and team! I couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

I have had two major bowel surgeries performed here in the last six months and have stayed as an inpatient for a total of eleven days. I can not say enough nice things about the wonderful staff and facility. From the admission process through the end of my stay when my take home medicine was delivered bedside by the inhouse pharmacy, i encountered only committed and caring people. I felt at every moment that I was being well cared for and that my concerns and needs were always addressed professionally. I would not hesitate to return for future procedures.

The ER was absolutely top notch when I arrived there in the early hours last week. I was extremely dehydrated from a stomach virus, my heart rate and BP was through the roof, and I was feeling pretty awful. I was immediately brought into the triage area & put in a room. The nurses and staff were extremely nice, supportive, and helpful. I was given IV fluids and other medicine to help feel better. They showed me compassion and I will always be grateful for that. I want to say thank you to all the nurses, doctors, and staff for working so hard to keep us all feeling better.

The staff and crew here have been amazing. My father has been here over 6 weeks now fighting cancer. They have gone above and beyond to help make this time a little better. From the cleaning crews, to the dietary people, to the physical therapists, and of course, the AMAZING Oncology Doctors and Nurses.

I have to write about my experience. One year ago today Oct.15 I had a double bypass surgery. I want to thank Dr. Hoffman and his amazing team for saving my life. Unbelievable! ❤I know I was in good hands during my stay. I also have to thank the wonderful 6th floor nurses who took good care of me. Awesome! Thank you so much! ❤

A doctor at another hospital suggested my mother " be given medication to make her comfortable and let nature take it's course". We had her moved to Bangor, where the level of care was dramatically better. They treated the complications she had incurred during her original surgery, and she pulled through. I credit that transfer to Bangor as the reason she's still with us today

I had a great experience at this hospital and was treated top notch by all medical professionals that I was seen by. My only complaint would be the nasty unappealing food that was served but by any means that was the least of my worries. Would highly recommend this hospital. Thank you northern light for all my medical services.

I went to Northern Light on a referral from their walk-in care, which was great. I wanted a Lyme's Disease test, but they found I had atrial fibrillation and sent me to Northern Light Emergency Room.
At the end of a long day, I reflected on this 2.5-rated hospital. This morning I had been to their walk-in clinic where I saw two outstanding people, Deb and Rebecca. At some other location, I might have just gotten what I asked for, a Lyme test. At the ER, they took me right in. I saw an excellent nurse, a Lyme’s doctor, an excellent ER doctor and two physician’s assistants. Not usually doing Lyme’s in the ER, they had done mine and reversed my atrial fibrillation. I don’t know how many rooms they have, but I know they had a lot of people with a lot more serious problems. I give them top ratings.

I was transported here after I got rear ended in a fairly serious car accident. The nurses in the ER, the ICU, and on the regular floor were all so upbeat and on top of their game. They made everything a lot less scary, especially when my parents felt reassured enough to head home the second night of my stay. While there are some things they can't handle at this facility, they have very close ties to larger hospitals in Portland and Boston, and the means to transport patients there. Overall, everyone works hard to make sure that the patients are receiving the care that they need, and it shows.
