Marine City Fish Company

Holy smokes Marine City Fish Company blew us away! The smoked salmon and cheese board appetizer was phenomenal. A generous portion of three different types of smoked salmon and cheese! We then had the Cioppino to follow and once again, phenomenal. Staff were friendly and attentive. The interior was fun and decorated!

Had great seating outside on the upper dining area and enjoyed an amazing view while we ate. Service was quick and we never felt like we were forgotten about. Had a few unique options on the menu and I was very happy I opted for the Coconut Chicken with Garlic Mashed Potatoes. The chicken had an amazing Pineapple Salsa that I wish I could bottle up for home!! Never mind how fresh and tender the bread was! I can't say enough! Great experience 👍

Quick friendly service, nice atmosphere and great view of the river from the 2nd level. Food was very tasty. One wish is to have allergen symbols on the menu so there's no delay with the wait staff running back and forth to check on allergens.

We had a group of 6 with a reservation and we were seated quickly. The waitress was great and everyone enjoyed their meal. This was our first time here and we will definitely be back. I like the nautical theme.

Went for lunch, great service by Loren. Awesome atmosphere and delicious food. Calamari, clam chowder, and Smoked salmon and cheese trays for starters. Delicious! Entrees were Walleye, Coconut Shrimp, Cajun Angel and lobster ravioli. All were delicious! My personal favorite was the coconut shrimp. Definitely a great place to eat and walk along the river.

Just moved here from Kansas and all about local spots. Had lunch with the family and we loved the place. Great atmosphere, great food and a nice craft beer selection. Tried the perch, wallet and shrimp... all good. Was seated on the second floor with a great view of the river. We will be back. Stay True - Stay Local

Always a great meal here. I’ve been enjoying the evolution of this place since 2010. The AYCE specials on T, W, Th are a great deal too. The staff is always helpful and accommodating. It gets pretty busy here on weekends and in the summer, but there is still rarely much of a wait if any.

This is a cool place to eat. Has delicious food and friendly staff. Right across the street from the river. A nice view with the barges and boats. There’s a little park nearby with benches you can sit out and look at the water. They have a second level that has a better view of the water. Located in the middle of many many shops. I would highly recommend this place.

I give Marine City Fish Company a 5/5 overall. The coconut shrimp, brisket, clam chowder, coleslaw, breaded cod, bread, and scallops were excellent. The service was top-notch. I'm always pleasantly surprised at how much cheaper it is to eat in Marine City than it is to eat in the Detroit metro area. My only two complaints are the french fries and the swarm of hornets at the bar. The French fries were the worst french fries I've ever tried to eat. They were inedible. I've never had fries that I couldn't eat before. Maybe it was an off day in the kitchen for the fries. I typically don't send anything back to the kitchen, but I should've sent the fries back. The hornets swarming around the bar made it difficult to eat. I was constantly worried about getting stung. Overall, it was a good experience. I'd definitely try Marine City Fish Company again.

Omg this is now my husband and I new favorite place. We waited a hour but it was definitely worth the wait. We started with the nacho which was so good. We didn't add any meat and it was still amazing. Next time we're going to try it with the smoke salmon. The rest of the meal was just as good. Will be back, worth the hour drive. Service was great as well.

Party of 5 yesterday. First time for my wife & oldest son & myself. Perch was outstanding besides the cheesey garlic mashed potatoes & coleslaw. Bread was good. It was a hour to get there but well worth it! Great atmosphere with view of St.Clair River across the street.
I highly recommend this establishment to eat & socialize.

Really great local spot! Couldn't get enough smoked salmon dip!! Walleye and Snapper were fantastic as well as the chowdah!! Staff was super friendly! We definitely will return! Thank you!

My brother-in-law took me for a meal here. I had the mussels (could have used a tiny bit of salt) and the seafood chowder (amazing!). Their selection of seltzer is somewhat lacking, but that might be more of a "me" thing as this is a small town restaurant. Also, they had a live musician playing an assortment of instruments very well and not obnoxiously. I will definitely make the trip back here when next I visit family in Algonac.

Excellent food, great atmosphere, close to the water. It was nice to watch all the boats and people while dining on the patio. Great service! Highly recommend!

My husband and I had dinner here on a Sunday night. He had the stuffed Mahi Mahi with salad and French fries. I had the special which was yellow tuna over Wasabi veggies with garlic mashed potatoes and coleslaw. We also enjoyed the smoked salmon spread appetizer. I enjoyed one of the fall special drinks, the autumn passion. My husband's fish was delicious but his fries were stone cold. When we told the server about, she was able to take $7 off the bill. She told us that she apologized for her delay on checking on us as the had a spilled water situation upstairs to deal with. I appreciate her honesty. My yellow salmon was delicious and the mashed potatoes were piping how and excellent. I highly recommend any of this restaurant's fish. We've been here many times and their fish is always delicious! Also love their coleslaw- the fresh dill Is perfect! Definitely recommend getting reservations because this place is VERY popular.

I got there very early, before the lunch crowd. I got a 2nd floor outdoor seat and the view was wonderful. Staff was friendly, food came out fast and was so delicious. The perch was perfect, the tartar sauce had a little sweet kick to it. What a pleasant lunch!
