Calef's Country Store

This place is amazing! Homemade jams, jellies, chocolate delights. Retro games, Penny candies, old time toys, vintage decor. They have been there since the 1800s. Love love love this place!!

Great place that's been around for many years. My daughter enjoys ordering her peanut butter and jelly sandwich from there for a picnic lunch. Love the old fashion candy that still have. Reminds me of my youth.

The cutest country store. Drove a whole 40 minutes for their barreled pickles. The sour is my favorite! They have a little bit of everything and a whole room full of old school candy. We love popping in while we can

Great store for visitors and locals. Fantastic deli for lunch, quite the selection of cheeses, and if you like penny candy, check this place out! Nice gift shop, too, for those just in town for a visit.

Awesome country store with lots of unique finds. We had a great time browsing all the goods. The sour pickles were proper sour and it seems like the deli is really popular. A great spot to check out on a rainy day!

Regional treasure, is how this place should be described. I have been going here, for over 25 years, and I appreciate the old school environment. They have an amazing selection, of LOCAL products, which can't be beat ! Along with the delicious deli, and food products, to be complemented with some of the BEST homemade cheese, in the region ! You have to get off the couch, phone, or other devices... and go experience a trip back to the times when this was the way it was done...you won't regret it.

Nice little country store. They have local jelly's, jams, hot sauce, and pickled items. They have a candy section. They have fudges and chocolates as well. There are some NH souvenirs. They have a little deli in the back.

Parking can be a bit of rough if it's busy. They have a few sport in front by the road and then a little parking area on the left side.

They close pretty early (5ish).

This store is awesome in every way. They have a candy counter with tons of old school candy, they have a wall of awesome hot sauces. They have a deli. They have rootbeer on tap, they have a little of everything. I high recommend checking this place out. I will be adding some pictures of inside the store. This store is absolutely wonderful..

Incredible food, finds, and staff! Loved everything about it. Can't wait to make it a regular spot for lunch... We ordered 5 different meals from the deli for our first lunch trip. Everything was delicious and made with great quality ingredients. Don't forget to pick up a sandwich punch card--you'll make good use of it!

I have to say in one of the best country stores in NH. Great deli with the freshest of meats! Kids will love the penny candy section not to mention all the other goodies. Homemade jams/spreads, pickling kits, A front display filled with all types of chocolates, truffles, fudge and much more! The employees are extremely friendly and all of which seem to carry that old fashion charm!

I LOVE this country store! I've been going to this country store for many years, and I also leave with great treasures. Previous owners had a pot bellied wood stove and a table and chairs beside to sit and enjoy lunch. They also used to have a table close to the front door with chairs, and a puzzle to work on if you felt inclined to sit down and find a few pieces to fill in before leaving. Sadly both of these are now gone with the new owners. They still have their deli counter in the back, but no more hot dogs. :-( I guess covid had an impact on that, which is really too bad. They had the best hot dogs! The store offers lots of great jams, jellies, candies, fudge, spices and seasonings, soups, snacks, etc. Always worth a stop if you're anywhere near Calef's!

This is a dangerous place to poke around if you don't want to spend money! LOL Room after room of all kinds of interesting and beautiful items for all ages and in all price ranges. Great gift ideas and treats for yourself. If you're anywhere near them I highly recommend taking the time to look around.

Truly unique country store. From tasty fudge and hard to find recipes to unusual but tasty locally produced tonic and sodas. Cookies to fresh cut meats, they have it all.

Really neat olde tyme country store. Same building from the fifties. Wonderful selection of New England made gifts, craft beers, and eclectic food. Great deli and smashing candy selection.

I Love this shop so much, it has been a great place to go with the kids since I moved to NH for the last 30 years amazing sandwiches and plenty of candy. Lots of treats to buy from neighboring things like soda and honey

I love stopping by Calef's! Their sandwiches are always so good and they really stack with them tons of meat. Their locally crafted sodas pair well with the sandwiches too. The little cute shopping area reminds me a lot of the cute stores in Vermont. We just bought their buttermilk pancake mix and their creamy honey! I cannot wait to try both. I have never been disappointed by anything I've gotten here.

Calef's is the only place i buy cheddar ( rat trap) cheese , for gifts for cheese.i love to step back in time, and wander through the store. Friendly, helpful. folks. So much fun
