The guys at Pelham are the absolute best. You can tell they have a lot of experience. The work they did was efficient and clean at a reasonable cost.

They did an excellent job replacing an old malfunctioning Floodgate automatic backwater valve. My basement got flooded the night of Hurricane Ida because of sewage backing up. Previous owners had installed a Floodgate, which wasn't maintained properly by subsequent owners. They managed to source the Floodgate at a time when they were scarce. Fran and his assistant did a great job. Their price was very reasonable.

These guys know what they're doing. Highly professional outfit, excellent quality of work and a pleasure to deal with.

These guys are awful. Charged $375 to for no solution. All the plumber did was turn on the shower and say "yep that takes a while". Another plumbing company switched the handles on the shower and fixed the issue at a fraction of the cost. Apparently the $375 was to come out to the apartment? Save your money and go elsewhere, especially to places that give free quotes.

These guys are crooks. Plain and simple. I had a job scheduled in the morning and the plumber arrived very early (too early, since the request for building water shut off was not until mid morning and they knew that), which I thought was odd. He returned two hours later for the scheduled repair which is a very simple valve exchange under the sink. He took TWO hours to do this, while playing with his phone and killing time (I have film proof of this). Mind you, they charge 375 dlls the first hour then 250 dlls for subsequent hour, plus parts, plus tax, plus service fee. After fixing the very simple issue, they guy comes back with an invoice of almost ONE THOUSAND dollars!, for a simple sink valve exchange. He also refused to show us any receipts of the replacement parts. So they were basically charging whatever figure came into to their heads. After much arguing with Greg, the manager, over the phone he claimed he was charging for the two hours the plumber had to wait until starting the job, as if it was somehow my problem that he showed up way earlier than requested! Greg finally scratched the additional hours off , which still amounted almost 800 bucks with taxes. Rip off is a massive understatement. And I do beleive the plumber wanted to pull a fast one by clocking in a couple of hours work-free. Stay away from them

SCAMMERS DO NOT USE!!!! THEY ARE RUDE, OVER CHARGE AND DO NOT EVEN FIX YOUR ISSUE!
