Ninham Mountain Fire Tower

A great (short) walk in the woods that leads to the fire tower. Definitely family friendly and not difficult at all to get to. The “hike” to the fire tower is around 1/2 miles from the dirt parking lot. I’ve gone many times and have rarely run into others.

3/4 mile hike up a gravel road leads to a tower you can climb revealing amazing 360 degree views. Fortunatly walk back is all downhill. Parking is very limited so dont tell to many people ;0)

20 minute incline hike up to the tower. Wide gravel and dirt path made for cars all the way up to the base of the tower. Parking was right at the base of the trail head. Only a few parking spots but wasn’t an issue for me.

Short walk up the hill on road mild incline. Worth the time and energy to climb tower. Vista is breath taking. Close and easy day trip.

It has been years since I spent time here. Truly exemplifies the Harlem Valley on a clear spring morning. The MXC trails vary from smooth to tedious but the top is worth the effort.

Great place to take a walk and bring your pets with you. Nothing strenuous. Adventure seekers love to climb the tower, but we just stayed at the base and enjoyed the view. Keep your shoes on because there are broken pieces of glass around.
