Mr. Sylkatis was the 1st page I came across when I googled "best lawyer in Lorain county". As a man it is difficult to win a child custody case against a mother.

Well I can honestly say that Mr. Sylkatis mad this entire process very easy and stress free for me. He is a lawyer that will absolutely go above and beyond to ensure EVERYTHING is in play when the time comes. He is kind hearted and understanding but yet also ruthless when needs to be kind of person. He always kept me informed with everything!! Even if I needed to know it or not. The Paralegal (Darylann) is such an amazing individual. I couldn't do justice to her by writing up a review. I will be brief and say her level of customer service is fantastic. Scott was an amazing attorney. He responded immediately every time I contacted him and was always available to me even on the weekends. He really strives to get the best outcome without having a huge fight and really tries to get the parties to a resolution they create themselves rather than fighting it out and racking up the bill. Couldn't even consider someone else after working with Scott. Even his receptionist was exceptionally equipped with the appropriate touch for communication and support during a really difficult time in my life. I gave them 5 stars because they earned them and here's why. I spoke to probably 10 different attorneys and I got 9 that were a sales pitch promising me they'd get me whatever I wanted as long as I had enough money and to be honest all I really wanted in my divorce was things to be fair. Sylkatis only promised me his best efforts and heard me when I said what I wanted and what I didn't want. He was patient and attentive. After our meeting he told me where we would be at if the divorce turned ugly and told me how to carry myself throughout the whole situation and to be honest I ended up reconciling with my wife and they were happy for me. Any of the other attorneys would have pushed for the most expensive route and would've pressured me to move forward with the process when negotiations stalled. These are people who found their calling and do everything for the right reasons. I felt bad when I told them I didn't need their services after all and thought to myself "how often does that really happen?". I'd like to think I'll never need them again but I hope this steers someone in their direction because they are sincerely the best available especially if you're having a rough time with your divorce. Absolutely wonderful. We had the unfortunate experience of having to handle court from another state. We called multiple attorneys and chose Scott because he was very knowledgeable, thorough and called/text/emailed us back promptly any time we had questions or concerns. Scott was able to represent us without us having to go back and forth also. We have used him twice now for the same case and our results couldn't be any better. Although we hope to not have to utilize his services again as our case is closed but if we did need to, we would absolutely choose him for representation!
