Provencal Bakery and Cafe

If you don't like eating here you're either stupid or poor. Absolutely a certified 10 in my opinion and I've surveyed about three people on it. My buddy Rudy and I went in because we think one of the cooks is a little underprivileged and we just want to support him. Great place to eat and not get the hiv. Ciao, Bella!

Awesome bakery which also serves great lunch and breakfast!

I ordered their flourless chocolate torte as a birthday cake for my wife, a true lover of chocalate. It was terrific, very dense yet moist and creamy. It was right up there with the best tortes we had in our chocalate journeys. The staff was extremely helpful as well.

I'm a Frequent Customer at Provencal. Come here for lunch and sometimes breakfast a few times a week. Their whole vibe is they'll treat you like family, they know repeat customer names; they often know what you want before you even order, and just a really chill place. I haven't had anything here that wasn't delicious. I try not to even look at the Cookie and Pastry section.. you could buy the whole shop it's dangerous. 😆.
Love this place all around, definitely my favorite spot on the island. All the staff are friendly and I've never had an issue with them at all.

We love the bread and treats from Provencal Bakery! Today we tried a sandwich, the Roast Beef, Avocado & Brie on Rye Panini. Delicious! We couldn't leave without a couple Key Lime Tarts and a loaf of Rye Bread. This is the place to go for your bakery needs. The staff was very friendly. I highly suggest Provencal Bakery and Cafe!

Cute little Shop perfect for sandwiches or baked goods (or in my case both!). Stopped in for lunch, prices on par with Newport area (close to $10 for a sandwich). Also got an iced latte and a cookie. Everything was delicious and fresh. Service was friendly, wait was around 10 mins for my food. I'll definitely be back!

Trying to support local business, my wife and I stopped in to pick up some bread and pastry. We were happy with everything we bought and the location and service were excellent. They were very meticulous about their hygiene requirements which we also appreciated. Enjoy!

Wow! Great selection of pastries that look like works of art. Nice sandwich menu as well. Can't wait to try them for breakfast!

One of the few spots on the island for fresh-baked whole loaves of bread. Was craving sourdough so I stopped by and was not disappointed. Also snagged a cookie the nibble on which was stellar! Hard to decide between here and Custom House Coffee for the go-to local shop! — visit their newest shop on Broadway in Newport for the freshest loaves and that true European cafe vibe!

Solid 5 for quality and taste. I ordered few items from the bakery and picked up a carrot cake. All confections were very tasty and the cake was super dense, moist and flavorful.

The price is up there but its worth it.

Very friendly, lightning quick service. Breads and pastries looked delicious. My friend and I had spinach feta cheese croissant. Very tasty; could have been warmed a bit more.

I am currently 8 months pregnant, with many food adversions. This place is spotless, smells like heaven. The baked goods are excellent, all of them. But I have to sing praises for the Yellow Cupcakes with the pink frosting. Wow, it is a piece of heaven for this nauseous pregnant woman. As long as I live here you guys can get all my monies.😂😀

We asked a local friend for a recommendation and we were not disappointed. Nice list of sandwiches like turkey apple and brie. I had stew in a bread bowl. We also took home some bakery treats.

Ordered an apple pie for my wife's birthday. First time buying from Provencal. The pie was awesome! We got rave reviews from everybody at her party!

The choices are staggering here and everything is house made from soups to pastries. Try the ham and cheese croissants warmed with a salad for the perfect quick lunch.

We had a delicious breakfast (egg whites with spinach and feta) - everything was prepared perfectly and came out quickly. Service was perfect as well - above my expectations!

Convenient location with great bread and very reasonable prices. I had a salad with beets on it once and that was delicious and fresh also.
