Despite what the signage says, this place is George's Gyros. When you walk in, George will be the one taking your order. After you order, he'll immediately turn around and start making everything fresh. Once you're served and satisfied, then he'll ring you up at the counter, but not before. He seems to prefer that his customers enjoy their meal before paying.

It seems he even made all the paintings on the walls himself too, all of which are incredible.

George does everything. And everything turns out amazing. The food is fantastic here. Fresh, hot, and he seems to pass some of the savings of running the restaurant by himself on to the customer, so the whole menu is fairly priced for the quality. It's the mark of a great restaurant when you finish eating and get hit with the temptation of ordering more for the road. Definitely give George's Gyros a try. It's one of the best Mediterranean restaurants in the area.

I'm from LA, been here in Modesto for 5 years and I just love greek food i'm so happy I found this place delicious food, great prices and amazing customer service, George is an extraordinary chef. I was craving chicken kabob salad 😋 YUMMY DELICIOUS 😋 OH and the most DELICIOUS BLAKAVA (I hope I got it right) OH MY GOODNESS made with honey, pistachios and walnuts 😋😋😋 Thank you George, it was a pleasure meeting you 😁

Just wondering. The owner George is an amazing artist. His artwork is hanging on the walls. Food is amazing and prepared with love. The dolmas are fresh made not canned. The music is soothing. Just an amazing experience stopping by this small establishment. Don't change a thing brother... may prosperity shine on you.

I had an amazing meal. Very authentic and excellent pricing. Looks quaint inside and out but the food was outstanding! I will repeat.

This is one person serving but very good food. As a local business owner I like to patronize joints like this and get blessed with the best gyro for it.

I love the meat here. One man grill and he does a great job of getting my gyro to-go done in a reasonable time. Definetly will be back!

The Best Gyros EVER! Wow! My tastebuds just woke up. This place uses amazing flavorful ingredients.

The dolmas not very aesthetic but still amazing. The burgers are huge and the meat is great, you won't find better ones anywhere in the city.

Now under a new name, "George's Gyros" offers an affordable and delicious menu. The combination plate had a mix of various offerings and was a memorable lunch.

It is actually called George's Gyros. The owner is an excellent cook and an even better artist. I love George, he is one of the best.
