Carson Medical Group

I am new to the Carson Reno area and haven’t had to see a new doctor in fifteen years. I stay very involved in the decision making of my health therefore I’m particular about my doctor. Today was my first visit; office staff was very kind and I really liked Dr Mathew McDowell. He was thorough, respectful, asked questions and listened to me. Which I appreciated very much. Thank you Carson Medical!

My wife and I are patients of the general practice side. PA Sayafi here is awesome. I’m not very trusting of medical practitioners, so I’m picky, and I ask a lot of questions as well.
PA Sayafi and staff have been wonderful, patient, intelligent, and PA Sayafi is a true healer, as well as an awesome person. I’m so glad we are patients here.

I highly recommend Ashley Sims, PA-C, she is warm, friendly, and attentive. I clicked with her immediately and am very comfortable trusting in her with my medical concerns. I had to switch practitioners due to mine moving on from the practice so I was nervous but I got paired with the perfect one! Thank you Ashley.

Called the OB office today and Cynthia was so friendly and helpful! She helped me make an appointment, gathered my insurance information, updated my account, and helped me reset my patient portal. I know that these seem like typical “job description” things, but she was very sweet and knowledgeable. The whole interaction was great. Even though I couldn’t get an appointment until November, but it’s still a win to have someone on the other line who does their job well. Shout out to Cynthia in OB!

Myself, my husband and our kids all see Dr Fox and I am so grateful we found her last year! She's patient, calm, listens to everything we say and explains her answers... Shares interesting new science that she's excited about... Is easy to talk to and to communicate with via the patient portal as well. She's the first Dr I've had that really feels like she's part of my life... I'm even excited for my annual check up to share my progress with her. Couldn't be happier!

Dr. Fox has been my family doctor for a year now. She has a great education and is very knowledgeable. That being said, if she feels there is something going on which you could benefit from a specialist she wont hesitate to refer you. She takes into account my insurance requirements and financial constraints.

She has a great personality and my wife and 2 year old son both love her as well. The office is modern and other staff is very kind and understanding. She is busy and it usually takes a couple of months for a routine appointment, but if you have something urgent they will get you in quickly.

If you are looking for a good knowledgeable family doctor who doesn't talk down to you, Dr. Fox is amazing. I drive over an hour to see her because I believe she is one of the best.

Dr. Sara Maples & her staff/nurses are top notch in my estimation. They are very thorough, professional, easy to talk with & friendly. I trust Dr. Maples 100%. Jen (another nurse who supports several doctors in the facility) is also a great asset to the office. She is extremely knowledgeable & has gone out of her way numerous times to put me in the right direction for answers.

Dr. Torres is amazing! I've been seeing her for a while now for a back problem. She actually cares for the person, develops a plan and wants to see her patients get better. A great experience every time I've gone.

I love Carson Medical Group! The staff is amazing and I have always had a good experience with my appointments. I have rarely waited past my appointment time. Also, David Lyons is awesome! Thank you Carson Medical Group for always being professional and caring!

Dr. Laura Stroup AND her assistant saved my life. I was going through the withdrawl sympyoms of my Cymbalta because my pain doctor at Nevada Pain and Spine, Dr. Mack and his assistant wouldn't get back to me since before christmas to get my monthly refill. It is now January 5th. So i got ahold of Dr. Stroups assistant and explained the situation, and the next day they not only had my pills, but requested i get a 3 month supply! She is handling all of my meds now and ive never been so pleased with the service i am receiving. I cannot thank you 2 enough. Its the only thing that evens my mental state out. (And those withdrawal effects are not ok.)

I have been a patient for many years and have never had any bad experience; always enjoyed everyone there and my doctor is the best and has always provided excellent medical care. I would change insurances before I would change from this medical group.

Dr Steven Elliott and Emily Elliott are the Team to beat. Dr. Elliott is my Primary Physician and I feel so blessed to have him in my corner. His medical knowledge, patient rapport and putting the patient first are just a few of the attributes that makes him an excellent doctor! I have been seen by Emilee Elliott as well and her concern for the patient's well being is apparent when you first meet her! Like I said, the Team to beat!

Dr. Koch and Dr. Fox, are awesome doctors. Wish everyone had their compassion and knowledge. They have treated myself as well as my 91yr. old Grandma. I recommend them to anyone, can't say enough good things about them.

I just have to say Amy Jernigan @cmg is amazing. When other doctors have given up she got me into specialist where I got some very important diagnoses. As someone who has been sick all of their life it is so amazing to have someone in the medical field on your side who really cares.

I feel very blessed being a patient from someone who was once a co worker with my mother. :)

Awesome practice Dr. Elliot or one of his fabulous nurse practitioners (totally don't know if I spelt that right) will usually get you in to see you the same day
