Hosts were inviting as we walked in; waitress was amazing!! Suggested a few specials, which we went with and they were great! This was the chicken special over linguine. Highly recommend 👌🏽 oh and the tiramisu was best I’ve had in a while I would’ve gotten another one if it wasn’t $10 lol

Can I give 50 stars instead of 5? This place is UNBELIEVABLE. I was startled at first for the small size of the sitting area, as I struggle with small places but it wasn't crowded and that made me feel more at ease.
The décor is outstanding and you feel in every detail the love that put this place together. The homemade food is otherworldly delicious and I wasn't hungry but ate every last bite. I can't wait to go back. The service is so personal and authentic, their handwritten menu for daily specials is the cutest thing and I wish ALL restaurants in the world were as good as this is one.

So nice, we went twice. The first time, we ordered off the menu. The names I can't say well. One was a pork tenderloin with onions in a white wine sauce. The other was tortellini with cheese cream sauce. They paired wonderfully together. The second time, we chose everything off the specials menu. A grilled portobello appetizer, chicken Risotto, and lobster ravioli with saffron cream sauce.

Very authentic Italian and reasonably priced!! Food was awesome!

My family and I literally adore this little hole in the wall. It is so amazing and adorable inside. My waitress, Christine was so kind, friendly, and efficient. I recommend making a reservation, especially on a Friday or Saturday night. We will be back every single time we visit Salem!!!

An intimate setting in a charming trattoria on Essex in Salem. The food was really quite good, and fresh ingredients were put together for a great wedding anniversary meal.

One of the best spots in Salem. This cozy trattoria has world class Italian, great daily specials, and an excellent wine and drink list. The service is great and friendly. They do not rush you, but check just the right amount. Outdoor dining available in the summer. A real gem.

The new room is lovely and the original is cozy. It always has a great neighborhood business feel while still feeling comfortably classy. I have like everything but what they do with eggplant is sublime and getting a wine recommendation is always a win

Cozy little restaurant serving very good Italian food. Our decision to have dinner in Salem prior to catching the train back to Boston was one that we don't regret. We had an excellent meal at Bella Verona. Our server was very good, attentive and friendly.

They have been voted best for a reason. The food is so delicious. They don’t have a kids menu and they just have smaller portion. The lighting is very dim, so dim we had to use a flashlight to review the menu and pricing. The prices are high! However the food is really good!

Amazing atmosphere; old black and white photos on the wall and lofted ceiling; friendly service; delicious Italian cuisine. Kitchen accommodated my request to alter a menu item. I’ll definitely be back soon!

Wonderful place to wait out a summer thunderstorm. It was definitely hot, they don't have air conditioning, but other than that it was really enjoyable. They serve olive tapenade and Italian bread before the meal and the food itself was delicious. The staff was friendly and attentive and it was a really nice experience.

I had a very good experience the menu is very affordable, the portions of food are normal how they are supposed to be, the staff is amazing and sitting outside was the best. The owner and his wife are amazing people. I will always come back. The best place I have eaten in salem thanks again

I had a wonderful experience here. The service was prompt, genuine and friendly. Shantell (sp?) waited on me and I was given some of the best seafood linguine (YUM) I’ve had in a long time. The recipes tasted authentic.The space was cozy and had character - this place is a little gem. I am forlorn that I won’t be in town longer to taste more things on their menu! Outstanding trattoria. 10/10.

This is a perfect North End like gem. Wonderful menu. They are very accommodating and in a beautiful part of Salem.

My wife and I recently stayed for a few days in Salem and we wanted to check Bella Verona out as we had an Italian good craving and also recognized this restaurant from Season 13 of Real.Housewives of NYC (don't judge me LOL). I am so glad we came here because the food was EXCELLENT! Everything was fresh and priced accordingly. The staff were so nice and thwy have outdoor seating with space heaters. We highly recommend Bella Verona.

Such great food. Whether it was the spaghetti, or the risotto with seafood, and a great selection of deserts. The service was also spot on. Never had to wait for a drink, or anything else that may have been needed. Inside is cozy and the perfect setting for an intimate meal while the outside offers a quiet spot right across from the famous Hawthorne Hotel.

It's always a special treat to go to Bella Verona! The intimate dining room usually has the host strolling through engaging dinners, the waitstaff is top notch and are welcoming and friendly and the food is absolutely delicious!

We visit this restaurant every year during g the fall season when Salem is absolutely mobbed. We have always had excellent meals and great wait staff. The owners are also great they make you feel like family. We will be there in a few short weeks can't wait.
