If you're looking for a Sephora or Ulta alternative, check out Bluemercury! They carry a lot of the major and harder to find brands. The store is bright, very well laid out, and spacious! Their testers are always in really good shape and clean unlike other beauty stores. The staff is incredibly helpful and not at all pushy. I've asked for a few recommendations and haven't been let down yet! They always seem to have a really awesome gift with purchase around the holidays and offer discounts throughout the year. Also they are more than happy to give you samples of a product before you buy! I just wish they had a rewards program like the Sephora Insider.

Came in with someone getting service (makeup done) and wandered around the store. I’d recently lost my favorite products in a fire and the staff was great at trying to help me find matches. No sales pressure and lots of suggestions on what to try.

I am in heaven in this store with all their skincare lines! Fresh, la mer, chantecaille, kiehls! And they have testers of everything so you can wear see if it makes a difference then go buy!

Very accommodating!

Went in looking for a new SPF and moisturizer—just ran out this morning. Two sales reps on the floor couldn’t be bothered to even look my direction let alone ask me if I needed assistance. Could have dropped some money and now I will stick to online from the brands themselves.

This was an incredibly unpleasant experience, and I felt deeply humiliated. The sales representative made an offensive statement about me being a woman of color, implying that I was either broke or some form of help, while my Caucasian friends were shopping. Despite being a successful business owner, I was taken aback by her comment and have no plans to return to the store.

Drive over from Hampton. Took an hour and they closed early. Hours say 7, but they were closed by 6:30. Very disappointing.
