Sat at the bar. Christine took great care of us. Loves the NY Sour. Charcuterie tray was in point. Calamari was tender and fresh. Crab dip was tasty. Duck tacos were spicy and good.would love to come back on next visit

This place was exceptionally good. The atmosphere is very calming and chill. We had a reservation and got seated on time. The food is tapas style, so small sharable plates. Protein sizes around about 4 to 5 ounces a plate. My wife and I got 6 food items total and a drink each, so we were about $50 a person. Everything was delicious and the drinks were quite good. Duck tacos are probably my favorite out of everything we got, followed by the seared tuna.

If I had to say something negative. It was in the 50s outside and inside the restaurant was quite warm. I do wish it was a little cooler inside. Also, the lamb chops dish. Great flavor combo, tasty sauce, and risotto was fantastic, but I feel like the lamp could have been more tender. I just have had some amazing Mediterranean lamp chops, so I was expecting better/different.

I would definitely go back, and I would highly recommend

Was told by friends we had to try Still Wordly for tapas. I’m so glad we did. We sat at the bar which we prefer. Jamie was our server. Very friendly and informative. Great vibe with good music in background. The duck confit tacos and the cast iron filet was delicious. We also had the meatloaf which was good, but started with the other two first. Our mistake!! Lol!!
Highly recommend coming here and enjoying some great tapas.
Forgot to take pic of steak. We ordered the broccolini which was good also.

Only recommendation is having N/A beer in stock. N/A is has become very popular and enjoyable. There is many people who would enjoy this delicious food with a cold beer.

Super cool spot in downtown Portsmouth. We were able to get in during a slower time of the week so service was very good, which was nice. Drinks: fantastic. Very fun menu with variety of different small plates from which to choose, so we sampled about 5-6 and had a really nice time doing so. Some dishes were definitely better than others, but may just be a preference thing. Overall experience definitely good enough to go back again. Not sure if they change up their menu frequently or not, but it would be great to come back and try more new food often. It was a very nice time.

Nice spot, great atmosphere. If you blink you may miss it. Will remind you of the bar in the basement in the movie Inglorious Basterds. Great food, great drinks and they're not stingy with the alcohol. Great date night spot!!

Really liked this place, it was a breathe of fresh air after a long drive to Portsmouth. The entrance door is on the side of a house on Queen street and looks a bit shady but it leads to a sweet celler restaurant and bar.

Bartender was great & made me a fantastic specialty iced tea after I asked to "suprise me", and he did! I didn't ask what was in it, it was just good, I had three!

Premise is small but cozey, well designed with lots of wood and feels relaxing and inviting. Lots of plagues and history and culture, great vibes. Attended by local professionals for happy hour talking & mingling, they were all very friendly (thanks for chatting it up with me Kathy!). I got there just before 5pm but it quickly filled when I glanced behind me about 6pm. I was sitting at the bar.

I had the Crab dip, Blackened Tuna & Grilled Asparagus. All were all AMAZING and DELICIOUS. Remember the portions are tapas so they are like single servings but I had the three and felt very content & besides the smaller portions give you more variety! Pricing was good for the quality but definently an adult atomosphere.

I am very certain i will be going back before I leave town & if I ever return to Portsmouth this is the place I will remember to come back to.

Seriously a breathe if fresh air in a basement, who would of thought, lol.

Update: got the bresd pudding & key lime pie. Exquisite!

By far the most unique and elegant bar in Portsmouth that I’ve been too. I didn’t have any of the tapas; however, the cocktails and atmosphere are worth the visit alone. I can’t wait to get back to try the food. Feels like a real, local, hidden gem located one block off high street.

We have been choosing this place for more than 10 years. Clearly, it’s one of our favorites. The 1858 building and speakeasy-like entrance add a distinctive feel to your entrance. The decor of dark woods, mustard walls, and milk chocolate ceilings create a cozy sense of place.
My husband loves that he can order several small plates and enjoy abundant variety.
The wine list is always enjoyable and the staff is well informed about choices. I find waitstaff happy to share suggestions and personal opinions.
I can seldom get past the duck tacos. The combination of flavors, moist meat, varied textures is just too perfect to pass up. For me, a close second is the sushi grade, rare tuna. Order it cooked as the chef recommends— you will not be sorry.
Check out the board of rotating offerings. The creativity of “fresh now” ingredients and seasonal flavors is unique to this establishment.

the menu is exceptional. I crave the mac and cheese at least once a month. the tater tots are probably my favorite thing on the menu. the cheese plate never disappoints. I have never had a menu item I didn't like. this my go to place when I want to treat myself after a good day or a bad day. the bartender, Crystal, makes the best custom drinks. I just tell her what kind of liquor I want, and she asks the right questions to figure out what to make, and she has never disappointed. I highly recommend Still!

Very nice tapas style menu, each of the plates we ordered were fantastic. They have a nice selection of bourbons, with a very knowledgeable bar staff. Service was top notch in all aspects. I look forward to visiting many more times. The entrance is on the side street if it's your first time 😉

Outstanding service and fantastic food. Plus we were treated to a wonderful anniversary dessert. I highly recommend if you'd like a special dinner. It was more expensive because we ordered cocktails and a bottle of wine. Loved it.

We visited Still last night and they did not disappoint. Parking can be tricky in downtown Portsmouth but not for Still. You can alley park or park in a lot that is right by the front door. As you enter it feels as if you are stepping into an exclusive speakeasy. Service was friendly and helpful with the menu. We ordered some delicious cocktails and several tapas to share. The bison meatloaf and mash potatoes was a comfort food hit! The tuna also was delicious. Next time we will have to stay for dessert. Still is a must if you are looking for a relaxing laid back vibe.

Good food - it's a tapas bar so quality over quantity. Dessert was an amazingly rich chocolate torte. Great place for a special occasion!

Update Happy to say we went back and the service was back to great and the food wonderful!!!

We love Still but on a Friday night 2 servers in unacceptable. We have been waiting with empty glasses for our check for quite awhile. Our artichoke dip appears to have died in the window before it was served to us. This also happened the last time we were here except then we went home hungry since it took the server so long to get back to us we gave up. PLEASE hire more servers! Also i am embarrassed for them that the toilet paper holder in the ladies room has been broken and unfixed for months.

Wow, pleasant surprise for a tourist visiting town for a few days. Walked in on a whim after taking the ferry from Norfolk. First time fully opening post covid closures and staff went above and beyond. They were wearing 2 hats and I was understanding despite being understaffed.

Seared salmon with risotto was a hit!! Ordered a 2nd plate that's how much I loved the dish. Perfectly seasoned and seared with a nice crisp skin. Risotto complemented the fish perfectly. Stuffed pepper with curry was great, would convert me to a vegetarian if all vegetable dishes tasted that good. Pimento cheese dip was a nice starter. Good drink selection. Bread pudding is pictured.

Kudos to chef Amanda Davis, staff for making it a great dining experience despite being understaffed you worked your tails off. Highly recommend trying this tapas place out when in town.
