We were going to have Laminate flooring installed by Home Depot during the $397.00 install promo. Don't be fooled by this price .What you don't know is you will pay additional installment fees for floor molding , baseboards etc.. What started out as $397.00 install will cost us $754.25 .
Also a delivery fee of $79.00 + a carry in fee of $55.50 ($ 1.50 per box ) and for a second helper to carry in more than 20 items it will be an additional $ 20.00.
Needless to say we will not be doing the install through Home Depot.
We had paid a fee of $35 for someone to come to our home to measure and received the quote via e mail.

I love Home Depot but I will never use this service again.

Some months ago I let them talk me into servicing my HVAC and they gave me a coupon to have it done. The service man came out to do the service and had me watch and walked me through all of the things he was checking. He was also pointing out things he was (about to) try to start upselling me into buying a new AC.

The unit is 7 years old and I plan to maintain it as long as possible before investing in a costly new unit.

To note: He pointed out that the coils had some rust on them. He NEVER told me this was something he could service. To clean them. This was my first time having an AC serviced so I had to go look this up after he left. Cleaning coils is part of a normal service!

All I got was the big upsell quote to buy a new unit. He never said I can clean the coils for "$ extra"

I have called ARS twice to inquire why he didn't clean the coils and was told thats separate. Ok so then why didn't he offer to do it and tell me how much it is? Instead he just tried to sell me a new unit?

Twice she has told me they would call me - but they don't.

I plan to call a RELIABLE HVAC company to have my HVAC SERVICED. Whatever this ARS thing is about, it's not about servicing your AC - it's about SELLING YOU A NEW ONE.

We needed new windows and have been screwed by terrible contractors in the past so we thought, go with Home Depot, they stand by their products even if it's more expensive. Boy how wrong we were.

We ordered the windows in April of 2021. HD says they can't be installed until August. No problem here as everyone was busy at the time.

Installation day, HD shows up, and to their credit, did a great, professional job. This was the last time the experience was seamless. Before they left we asked "where are the screens?" They said there must have been a mistake and they would get back to me. It took them until October to bring the screens. However two screens don't fit my windows and one was damaged so we're waiting on three more screens. The screen guy said he would have to come back with someone else to finish our sliding doors so we have strips of metal all over our lanai, waiting to be installed (since August 2021). Every time we call, nobody answers or we get sent on a wild goose chase. The only way we get anything done is to call HD corporate office. Then we get a call back from home services almost immediately.

Fast Forward to today, January of 2022. In four months it will have been a year and we are still not complete. Still have two screens that don't fit and my sliding glass doors are still unfinished. Spent almost 20k expecting amazing service and still have an incomplete job. So ashamed to have used Home Depot, they are not a name you can trust.
