Jersey Shore native here so I’m snarky about my cheesesteak and as anyone reading my reviews knows, I’m a big fan of cheesesteak and a harsh critic on my best day. I LOVE THIS PLACE! It is equal to (in food quality and accuracy to a what a cheesesteak is in Philly) and exceeds my former winner down in Sanford in Central Florida. While both joints get the sandwich dead on— FBP has 1) onion rings that ruined onion rings for me anywhere else ever, ever again. If they had legs these would walk on water. 2) The atmosphere is a winner for me. It’s got that East Coast unpretentious, down to Earth vibe. 3) The beer was super reasonably priced and ice cold. 4) The service was sweet and friendly. Gal looks you in the eye and doesn’t seem to hate her job. Total win. But something was more special. I was celebrating, at noon on a Friday, being told I do not have breast cancer. Just learning this, I was in a super happy and outgoing mood- not the usual for former professional food writers, we are a cranky bunch on average. So I ordered a monster meal with my husband and we were day drinking and full of good vibes. Well- the owner came out to congratulate me and my husband, and gave us a celebratory shot. It’s an Elvis Presley themed shot that actually does taste like his famed peanut butter, banana and bacon breakfast sandwich! What great people! This spot so reminds me of faraway, youthful days on the Jersey Shore, where family owned spots dominate and nobody has any attitude problem. We will absolutely be back. Good food is one thing. Nice service is even harder to find- but an authentic Philadelphia neighborhood spot is the vibe here. Magical. This is the kind of place you can bring your kids- or leave them home and enjoy a date night. My only regret is there isn’t one of these in the town we own our farm in. Because if there was, I’d be there at least 3 days a week.

Wow! Outstanding Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich and onion rings!

I stopped in to grab a bite while waiting for a hotel check-in time. The food was great. I got the Philly with beer-cheese and added mushrooms.

The food was fast, and was delicious. Highly recommended!

this place is very special and unique. every table has a button that will get your server's attention on demand. the cheesesteaks have a classic taste and I like the variety of cheese options you can order. i got wiz with onions and my girlfriend got provolone no onions. the food took a bit longer than I expected but I think that is because the caramelization process for the onions, which added a very unique flavor. also these were the biggest onion rings i have ever seen and a great addition to our meal. would definitely recommend and come back!

Dined here with my fiancé recently after shopping at Target. Best onion rings I’ve EVER had! Fun atmosphere with the Philadelphia Eagles theme, loved the bar top too! Next time I go somewhere to watch a game and grab some delicious food, this is my spot.

Me and Hubby went for the first time last week..The hubby is from Philly so he absolutely loved the atmosphere..The owner introduced himself, which is very cool and the waitress was great as well...The Philly sandwich and fries were AWESOME!! BEST IN TOWN BY FAR!..The only thing we didn't care for were the wings..So we pass on the wings next time, but everything else was insanely delicious!

Lunch was great and Aleyah (hipe I spelled that right) was sweet as can be. We will be back to try the cheesecake! 😉

Fabulous. Drove fifty-miles to enjoy a sub while shopping in town. A full cheese steak should be cut into thirds for multiple meals. The staff boxed up the additional subs I ordered to go in a container for the meat and sub rolls separate for travel. I was very happy when I got back and prepared the subs. This is not fast food, but good quality meat. I will be back in Tally in a few months and I will return. Also, full bar.

Don't walk, RUN!!!! BEST PHILLY IN TOWN. If you love onion rings you have to have their appetizer the onion phanatic. It is so good! Breaded perfectly. The Philly's were stuffed with meat and cheese. 100000/10000 recommended!! Staff super friendly and on top of it! Like I said.. absolutely check this place out...RUNN!!!!

This was my first, time coming to try them out after hearing of how good it was from coworkers. I was not disappointed. I got an OG chicken Philly WIT onions and Whiz cheese. So good and so filling. Don’t try and eat this being cute, because that stack it up with cheese and chicken. Got the Philly fries and OMG they’re to die for. Definitely gained a repeat customer. The staff is awesome and friendly. Willing to give recommendations and assist.

I finally got to try this place. Omg the fries was amazing. The Philly steak was also good. I am just stuck on the seasoning on the classic fries. Most of all the customer service was above 5 star. I wish I got the man name he carried a beautiful welcoming spirit. I will definitely be back.

This place gives such a warm atmosphere and I highly recommend coming here whether you are an eagles fan or not. They have great food, the drink specials are amazing, and they are always there to give you the best experience possible. This place really brings in the authentic Philly experience from the Amoroso rolls to the Reading Birch beer. If you’re a football fan, especially a Philly fan, you have to stop at Fly by Philly’s.

I love this place! And for so many reasons! :)

First off, the onion rings were the best I have ever had! They are proud of them, and they have every right to be! :)

Speaking of pride, their Italian Stallion sub (meatball) is made with Blake's (owner) grandmother's recipe! I actually passed on getting the Philly I have been craving for quite some time to try it after hearing Casey rave about it! :)

Speaking of Casey, the way he handles himself, I mistook him for being the owner. He is one of those people every employer just dreams of having! :)

I loved getting to talk to the owner, Blake. He admitted they are still working on getting the place to what they want. I couldn't tell anything was wrong due to the atmosphere and food being so wonderful! :)

I plan on being back there many many times! :)

Awesome place to take the family.
We met my sister and family from Tennessee. Johnathan was our server.
My sister accidentally left her babies medicine at our table. When drove to motel. Later I received a call from Johnathan. He told me about the medicine. I told him I was a hour away.
He said he would wait after they closed to give me the medicine.
That is beyond service ! Then tried to not take a tip. When in Tallahassee Florida stop and eat.

I ate half the sub before I took the picture. I got a cheese steak with provolone and added Cherry peppers. The sub was delicious and the service was top notch. Atmosphere was great too. Definitely will be back.

We had Phillies, onion rings, crab crinkles and pretzels. Everything was cooked to perfection! These creole seasoned crinkle fries were cooked so perfectly, just crisp enough in the outside, that they would melt in your mouth. The onion rings, battered and seasoned, and ohhh so tasty. Leah, our server was incredibly attentive, and took care of the whole restaurant during lunch. Everything was superb. We will definitely be back.

There's nothing like a local joint to make you fall in love with another city. I had a full 12" Philly Cheese steak with onions al natural along with Philly fries and a Coke.
The best part? Super healthy! You would think a pound and a half of meat, cheese, and bread would be catastrophic to your body but you would be wrong. My meal had the same nutrition as a clutch of celery smothered by a quart of yogurt with half the calories!
Suddenly I have a fat-free liver and the libido of an 18 year old triathlete.
The fountain soda made my urine stream run clear and strong while the high fiber of the Philly fries made everything go through smooooth.

Authentic Philly cheesesteaks in tallahassee, yes please! If you like wiz, american, provolone or beer cheese they got it all and can't go wrong with any option. The meatball sub is amazing and don't forget the Philly fries with some beer cheese. Now they have wings which I will be trying next. With the new liquor license this is a great spot to watch sports - GO BIRDS!

The food is authenticity (Philadelphia) great, and made to order! The wings are extremely underrated (bone-in only though). My wife raves about the beer-cheese.
Although they don't have enough staff right now, the folks they have now work so hard and are so friendly it makes the wait time tolerable.

Definitely will be returning.

P.S. If you're an Eagles fan in Tally, and haven't been yet, you need to go.

Tonight we just wanted some comfort food. We had the dogs and needed outside seating. We stopped at Fly By Philly's and we're greeted with a smiley staff member. We ordered our food and was accommodated with my request for an extra serving of steak for the dogs to share. Within minutes the owner, Blake (who is actually from Philly), came out to let us know he was preparing the dogs meat separately without onions because he knew they were bad for dogs. THEN he brought out their serving and fed it to them by hand! Y'all. THIS GUY. Needless to say Fly By Philly's has over the top service, is pet friendly and who wouldn't support this cool. Keep an eye out for this place because Blake has some fun out of the box ideas coming up.

I came here with a buddy of mine after spotting it randomly one day. It was definitely a good choice to stop by. In fact, it was so good we had to come a second day in a row. We definitely recommend the Whiz WIT.
