Nemours Children's Hospital, Florida

My 6-year-old grandson came to the emergency room yesterday as they are on vacation because his temperature reached from normal to 103 within like 15 minutes.
He had a seizure he stopped breathing the ambulance brought him in the hospital and they jumped on him immediately.
We did get him breathing before the ambulance showed up.
He was released last night bunch of tests done and then we got a phone call this morning saying to bring him back in because he possibly has a meningitis.
The doctors the nurses everybody here the security even the people that come out to the waiting room to let you know hey this is what's going on we're busy like they are so respectable here it is just off the charts.
They can tell we were all freaked out and they were just so awesome and the doctor sitting in the room explaining this procedure to my son and daughter-in-law and he's asking a million questions and the doctor is so patient.
Ronald McDonald House came over and offered assistance since my family is from Tennessee.
This a hospital is just amazing and I suggest bringing your child here if you have any issues if you're in this area.

I can't say enough amazing things about this hospital and the staff, the hospital is beautiful inside and out, CLEAN and the room was so comfortable where we were in the PICU. The staff blew me away, I'd never had an experience in a hospital with such kind, caring, attentive and knowledgeable doctors and nurses. It was very clear that they love their job and take the care of their patients seriously. Even the gentleman who drove the ambulance and took me and my son from Merritt Island to Orlando was an angel, talking with me the whole way to pass time and calm my nerves. To say I was and am grateful is an understatement, I wish I was able to get everyone's name who helped us but it was a crazy time. I will never forget the doctors and nurses who helped us so much.

Had an audiology appointment for my 6 month old daughter with Dr. Wilcox. She is phenomenal. She was a pleasure to work with. The hospital is beautiful. The only criticism I have is security is lax. They should do bag checks and have a metal detector.

So far, this place has been phenomenal. My son was born with several abnormalities, and finding a good gastrointestinal doctor and rheumatology provider has been challenging. However, the specialist he saw here today was excellent and very knowledgeable. I'm optimistic about getting the help my son needs and achieving a successful outcome. Thank you.

We drove 6 hours to be here and it is definitely worth it. The nurses are wonderful and the facility is very nice.

So, the registration process is ridiculous, Other than that the place is fantastic. Very nice and understanding staff who seems really on top of things and knowledgeable. We usually do not have to wait too long in the waiting areas which has all kinds of different shaped seats which is fantastic for kids with neurological conditions that are still fully mobile. My only complaint is they need more staff. Reg stakes forever and it take months to set an appointment.

Great hospital, great staff. I gladly will drive an hour to see them

We are from out of town and my 1 year old daughter got RSV on our trip to Disney World. We got referred to the ER at Nemours by an urgent care we visited. The hospital staff was really great, especially Michael in registration, he was super friendly, he kept checking on us while we were waiting for all the tests to be ran and made sure we had everything we needed. He even brought my daughter a stuffed animal and offered to give us a ride back to our hotel if we were looking for a ride (we had to Uber there) when he got off. Doctor Stoner was also really great at explaining everything that was going on with my daughter throughout our visit there.

I was not exactly thrilled to go to Nemours as a 17 year old, as I feel they're geared more to younger children. However, they did an excellent job and really did care about my comfort throughout my entire stay. It took me a while to get there since I was transferred from Viera Hospital to here. In comparison to Viera, this hospital exceeds expectations in the end. All of the nurses, care team, doctors, surgeons, etc., were very kind, and wanted to ensure they did the best they could. While I had pretty constant pain throughout the 1-2 days I was there, they did really try to control it - but I'm not a complainer so I tried to bug them as minimally as possible. They immediately had me in a room when I arrived at the emergency room at 1am. It was about 4:30am that I was transferred to an upstairs room where there was plenty of space, a bathroom, a couch, and other things. So, while my initial room wasn't very comfortable, they were working throughout the night to find one which was comfortable. They got my into surgery as soon as they could and I don't remember a thing, luckily. It was a quite tiresome experience but this was absolutely the best place to have that kind of experience. The people working here are caring, compassionate; understanding, and patient - and unfortunately, that's hard to find nowadays so I'm pretty pleased. If you have a choice about where your children go to the hospital, Nemours is an excellent choice. Too bad they won't be able to take me when I'm an adult. I was very surprised with the size of the rooms. I was comforting for myself and my guest.

FIRST CLASS CARE!!! The medical staff, clerical staff and volunteers are all exceptionally kind and welcoming. They all made my daughter feel so comfortable. The facility was exceptionally clean. It bright and colorful and very kid friendly! Our cardiologist went over our plan of action and made sure we were comfortable with everything. At the end of our visit he took us to the elevator where his nurse met us & she took us to the lower level for blood work. Since it was a long day the gave my daughter a snack to eat & drink. It was so nice to see that ppl enjoyed being at work. They didn't mind getting up to help us. The food in the cafeteria was fresh, tasty and most of all affordable! I would recommend this hospital to anyone who wants great care!

This hospital is extremely clean, the check in process very organized, everybody is very friendly and nice. There are plenty of parking and they also offer valet parking. The nurses and physicians are very knowledgeable, nice, and professional

Had an amazing stay! They took good care of me and my 3 month old. Very clean and very neat. I am very impressed! Definitely a 10/10 (:

The staff is amazing, super friendly super sweet, I was with my daughter and in a moment of tension Daniel was incredibly sweet helping my peachy to calm down for the shots, Daniel keep being such a sweetheart, Maya super sweet too, and helpful with every question, the security team two gentlemen sweets guys. All sweet persons what can a say!!! Thanks for all you all!!

I don't know where to start this was my first time visiting this hospital and I was so impressed it was clean and nice. I been waiting for 2 weeks for some answers about my son's shoulder injury. I'm so happy we got the chance to go to this location it was amazing the staff in the whole hospital are friendly and helpful they got us in fast and took care of us fast I got all my answers I needed. They was willing to hear me out the orthopedic area and there staff was great I couldn't thanks you guys for helping me find answers about my son's injury. Went in nervous and came out feeling good. I would definitely recommend this hospital for your children or any children. I want to thanks the staff for how hard they work to make this hospital amazing. YOU ARE APPRECIATED. ❤

My one year old daughter was hospitalized after having problems pooping and being a little dehydrated. This hospital is amazing and the staff is incredible kind and friendly. From the emergency room till our last day in floor 4! Room A-406 all the staff from the housekeepers to the doctors and nurses were very kind, friendly and loving to my daughter. I would definitely recommend this hospital to all my friends and family. Thank you so much and God bless you all. Very happy that my daughters care was excellent and she’s happy at home now.

My kid was in the PICU for over two months and the experience was all I could ask for, especially with him having a rare genetic disorder. The care, thoroughness, and professionalism was amazing and heartwarming. My baby is now home and doing well. THANK YOU NEMOURS, and THANK YOU PICU ❤

Dr. Cigdem Ozturk is the best in her field in this city. Her interest, friendliness and professionalism are admirable. We received incredibly comfortable eye care for my son. Now our only choice for our annual check-ups is Nemours - Dr. Ozturk It will be. I strongly recommend it to everyone. Thank you Nemours and Mrs. Ozturk !

My son was referred to this hospital since he was in elementary due to a condition. As any parent goes through fear for the outcome, Neumors provided my son and I the best quality on service through doctors and staff. I will always be grateful to all of you.
