This is a park that most people drive right by on their way to Walmart which is located next door. The main attraction here will be the kayak rentals. There are a few tables to sit and eat a lunch and if you like to take the kids for a nature walk, there are some nature trails to walk around the property. This is not a swimming spring, but more of a kayak, canoe spring. Very scenic and is located right along buys highway 19. Easy access and plenty of parking. There is a volunteer parking fee so bring a few dollars cash with you. Nice little get away in the middle of the city.

I've been here a few times fishing and to take my pups hiking and it was absolutely gorgeous. I would definitely recommend 10/10 must visit parks in this area.

We had a recent vacation in the area, and wanted a a place to go hiking with our dogs. It did not disappoint. The trails have many options to experience from flowing creeks and waterfalls to palm trees to an educational area about salt mining. There are several benches to take a rest or just relax. It is definitely dog friendly and all of the other owners were decent and compliant keeping them on leash.

The park was well kept as we went through. Alligator warning signs were at the water ways to keep us and our furry friends safe. There is a kayak rental area, but we did not use. We had a great experience and for a $5 all day pass, you can't go wrong.

Absolutely beautiful park. A must do. Super clean and manicured. Everything was well marked and displayed. History and information about the park was available throughout the park. Trails were great and easily trekked. Some areas were recently control burned. Water areas and vegetation are just gorgeous! Lots of wildlife seen. Very family friendly and safe. You do have to pay to get in but it is well worth it. They have a great kayak launch area and they also rent kayaks. Many places to sit and relax throughout the park. Some trails have small areas of muddy trail so wear good shoes. Bug repellent probably a must during the rainy season.

We really loved this park and it was rich in history. One of the more interesting parks. It s an old salt mining area and mullet fishing. It has nice elevated look out points. You walk around in swampy areas, lots of alligator signs, so stay alert! It had several trails and canoeing and kayaking. Launching points for your own water sports. It has open bathrooms in the big lookout! This park is a great representation of Florida.

Nice and clean, well kept park. $3 for parking, pretty much had the place to ourselves. It was beautiful and quiet. The trails are very easy to follow, and they have a lot of informational posts about the area and the salt making that happened there.

There is also a kayak launch and kayak rental in front of the board walk, where they too sell water and soda which is convenient after walking for so long.

Recently went back hiking there with a really good friend of mine I haven’t seen in over 28 years, They have area’s where you can Stand up on and see the forest and wildlife and they have information on what kind of animals and birds are in the area as well. Great place to get away from the world and relax. On the other side of the Spring there is a place to rent kayaks and go out in the water. Really a good place to get a excellent workout. Hiking, boating, it just makes for a great day. Go check it out! I absolutely love this place!

Such an amazing landscape at this park. The running springs are absolutely beautiful and, in places, look completely untouched by human hands. The trails are full of palms and palmettos that are teaming with wild life. The ambiance here creates an overwhelming sense of peace and serenity. Always pack out what you pack in, so others can enjoy it as much as you.

Visited this park and couldn't be more happy.

Great walking trails (very flat and nicely groomed) and interpretive signs to read and learn about the property.

You can rent kayaks/lifejackets (seasonally...it was closed when I visited) at the park with excellent launching/landing area. You can bring your own kayak/canoes. Looks like a great time could be had if your a paddling enthusiast!

There is a great boardwalk access for wheelchair visitors and I believe the other trails are flat enough for powered wheel chairs or very powerful people that love to push!

Very well kept and excellent bathroom facilities. Handicapped accessible too!

Met a park ranger. He was very professional and highly knowledgeable, and he told me where to see an active eagles nest and active great horned owls nest. You can get close enough to see them but not to close to disturb them.

Keep your eyes open when viewing the waters edges for the otters that live in the park.
I did catch a glimpse of the crazy playful animals. With their tails they are 3'-4' long...actually quite large.

Try to time your visit at low tide so you can really see the up flowing of the springs.
You will be amazed at the volume of water they produce. If you go at high tide it looks very slow and won't experience the natural waterfalls that occur.

But at high tides at Cauldron Spring you will see many mullet (fish) jumping and milling around as they feed in the current...its actually really cool.

Plenty of different flora and fauna to see and enjoy.
I actually got my best pics...with a phone cam...of a Pileated Woodpecker feeding on a tree...see the pics and short video. Wished I had my Nikon...pics would have been even better.

Park fees are $3/person (unless you have a FL State Park Pass) which is very cheap for this kind of nature interaction.

This is a very worthwhile area to visit do not miss out; take the kids there is a small playground for them to enjoy as well as the interaction with nature...Q

I've been back multiple times, so pretty. $2 parking. Nice observation deck with restrooms that are handicap accessible. I use AllTrails app to make sure I make the correct turns. Paddling through mangroves is special. It is easy, not dangerous, very relaxing. Rent one there or bring your own. It's fun to watch the mullets jump and a variety of birds around. Most of the time you can see the bottom, it is shallow. Some educational and historical highlights add even more interest. I'll be back.

Nice easy walk through the woods. A lot of different plant species and springs along the way. Several places to stop along the way and have a seat. A couple of picnic tables to eat at. Would definitely go back and explore a little more.

One of my favorite places to hike and kyak in the area. It's never too busy. Five bucks to park, and the Salty Dog Kyak rental people are awesome.

Wonderful place to take a short stroll or to spend the day! You can even rent paddle boards and kayaks for fun on the water, either the Gulf or on the springs. Exceptionally well kept! Thanks Parks & Recreation!

I would walk the trails before the new improvements to this park.
Two weeks ago my husband and I took our two dogs along with us and we were surprised there was a small, intimate picnic table. We enjoyed our picnic by the water.
Saw quite a few people kayaking in the water, people walking the trails as we enjoyed the beauty of this park. Everyone we came across were super friendly people. Others were there walking their dogs as well. The little library in the front of the park. If you choose a book please replace with another. Let's be Pasco Proud and treasure the nature around us.
Please pick up your trash.
$3.00 parking fee is 100% worth it. I hope this helps you. I know I'm addicted to this park.
