Dr. Agnes Kovacs MD

After moving back to GA, I needed a new GP and a colleague recommended Dr. Agnes. The earliest appointment I could make back in September was for December. They send a reminder but you should still add it to your calendar.

The office is clean and organize. The staff is on top of check in and office flow. They answered all my questions and stepped in when I needed assistance.

Honestly, as a new patient, I was wary because of the previous reviews, but if you show up early, as advised, you should have no issues.

Dr. Agnes is, without question, professional, thorough and attentive. She is ready to answer any medical questions, give professional advise when appropriate and is personable when you need it most.

TL/DR: No regrets - happy I went.

I hate going to see any doctor, but love going to see Dr. Kovacs. She is friendly, knowledgeable, and always willing to provide additional medical insight. She gets to know her patients and cares about your health. I would highly recommend Dr. Kovacs and her staff. You will get the medical attention that you need.

I love Agnes. Dr. Kovacs has always been such a patient and knowledgeable doctor. I feel confident putting my healthcare in her hands. She always listened, and would discuss with me the issues I was having. I always appreciated that she would explain things when I had questions, and would be real about what treatment I needed. I hate that her staff at Perimeter Clinic has caused her to have bad reviews. That's a reflection on that clinic and not Dr. Kovacs herself.

I haven't had to visit often, but Dr. Kovacs is always a pleasure and answers my questions without making me wait. Her patience and positive attitude, paired with a gentle smile make her an A+ in my book. Go see her for yourself and don't always depend on negative ratings, everyone's experience is different.

I have seen Dr. Kovas several times over a 5-year period -- she's excellent. Calm, sympathetic, good diagnostic skills, caring. Highly recommended.

I would whole heartedly recommend Dr Kovacs to anyone. Very knowledgeable and professional.
Unfortunately, the clinic that she is in will not accept Medicare patients starting in January 2018. That is my loss.

She listened to my issues, had empathy and definitely helped me. I had reached the end of my rope trying to find a real dr. to talk to about a particular issue...not some quack trying to sell something. Honestly, she was great and helped me immesurably ... i am grateful & i trust her.

Excellent and attentive staff. Facilities are modern, yet comforting. Not to be one who wants to see Dr.s frequently, but you suddenly forget your at a Dr.s office when here. They have definetly set the standard and restored faith in today's healthcare system.

A high quality, kind, and willfully smart woman. A doctor you should definitely seek out, even if your insurance isn’t in network with her. :)

Great doctor, she has a calming presence and I can tell she really cares. Office staff is meh.

It would appear that Dr. Kovacs had never heard of non-binary people. She wasn't malicious or anything, just apparently uneducated on gender variation. She seemed confused and amused at my gender identity and gender affirming care that I had included in my health history. Fine place if you're just looking for typical care or health screening, but I wouldn't recommend this practice as queer friendly.

Dr Kovacs was nice and listened however I went in for physical and they dont have a full staff. No phlebotomist on staff, no xray tech. So I had 4 separate additional appointments after my initial visit at other locations and I just don't have time for that. I need a one stop shop.

The physical took 2 hours to accomplish! Dr. Kovacs nurse has a terrible attitude and is very impatient!! She erroneously said that Medicare covers the PSA test only for men 65 and over! I would get rid of that sorry nurse ASAP !!!

Good Dr. But very rude staff.

This is the worst office I have ever been to. The phone line will not transfer you to your doctors office. It goes to a call center where they say they will transfer you to a nurses line that says to press 1 to leave a call back number but the line is glitched and repeats the same thing over and over once you press one. I begged to talk to my doctor and they would not let me. They told me it would be 2-3 business days before my doctor would see their message. I have been on the verge of passing out for 2 days while also vomiting profusely. If I could give them 0 stars I would.

I think Dr Kovacs is very knowledgeable and she has the potential to be a great doctor. However, her office staff is so incompetent and rude that I can't recommend seeing her. I have been a patient of hers for almost a year and have decided to finally terminate this relationship wholly based on the actions of the office staff. They made a simple billing mistake with a simple fix but refused to admit fault and hear any explanation from my end. In my most recent visit, I was refused service initially but after the office staff realized they had made a mistake with the billing (this took over an hour) they said I could be seen. I declined this offer to be seen because I had to go back to work. Again, I can't recommend anyone to see Dr Kovacs until she has replaced her office staff.

Can't agree more with those who had issues with the customer service at this doctor's office. Dr. Kovacs is a great doctor; however, the front desk staff is rude (not all of them, from my experience, just ONE of them).
My husband answered and asked a few questions in my place when we were both at the front desk doing some billing paperwork and apparently that bothered the particular staff a lot; she asked my husband "do you always speak for her?" I don't think that's her business and the question she asked was just unnecessary and rude.
Another incidence occurred when I called to ask for a refill prescription to be transferred to the same pharmacy but at a different location, which could've been done electronically. Instead, I was told by the same person that had an issue with my husband speaking for me, that I needed to call the pharmacy and have the pharmacist call them for the prescription. I followed her instructions and the pharmacist told me that the medical staff could've just faxed the prescription to them and everything will be done and that I as a patient shouldn't be the one contacting them back and forth. Eventually, I had to call the doctor's office multiple times until someone else picked up and transferred my prescription. So, it was pretty obvious that the first staff was simply not willing to perform her duty as an administrative staff at a doctor's office.
I actually love Dr. Kovacs as my doctor, but it is a shame that the front desk staff at her office provides such terrible services that my husband and I have finally decided to switch to a different family doctor.
