Excellent value, delicious food, location tucked in a nook right on the water with live music. Perfect way to end a day. Got a pic of Calamari appetizer, our meals, blackened grouper & blackened flounder didn't have a chance. They were perfect 😋

Very good! Love the decor inside and the waterfront views. I had the pasta primavera with scampi sauce, which was excellent. We also enjoyed how the bread basket came with a variety of biscuits, corn muffins, and flatbread!

My dad told me that his dad has brought him here since it just about originally opened in the 70s and since then we have made it a tradition going down the family line to visit. Most recently I brought my new little family and we all ate here the service was awesome the waiter was outstanding. He was on top of his game and did a very good job. I really enjoy eating flounder so I got it off the menu and was not let down the roasted potatoes were awesome and nicely seasoned and cooked. After dinner we walked out and got a drink at the bar and looked out on the dock before leaving. I can guarantee you that I will be back with the family again in the future.

The place is nice, we got good service and the food was delicious. Our waitress made suggestions and explained the menu in great detail, she was always aware of our table. Oh the bathrooms were clean and nicely designed.

Local bar does seafood in a relaxed setting mostly outside deck. We had trigger fish a couple ways very well done. Perhaps best trait—-busy and people laughing and having fun. Great selections done properly and excellent staff.

Down the hatch had delicious food & tasty drinks! The music, food, service, and views are 5 star. We arrived on our boat and were greeted by “Curly” the dock attendant who assisted in tying our boat off and helping us ashore. Go see Jacky and Matthew at the bar! They are super friendly and helpful by recommending drinks and food that hit the spot. We highly recommend you check it out!

Really cool place. Food is excellent. Had a crab cake at the bar and blackened flounder a few hours later after a boat tour. Bartender and waiter were both great. Highly recommend!

Great shecrab soup and conch fritters. Lovely views of the water. Jacki was a friendly and helpful waitress.

AMAZING! The starter shrimp cheese boat was FENOMENAL!!!! The flounder sandwich is just perfect!!! The service is so good!!! Will 100% drive all the way here again! Worth the drive!!!

My family had a group dinner, and we will definitely be back! With so many people in our group, I was able to try Salmon, Trigger fish (for the first time) and OMG the Crab Cakes!! All were cooked perfectly and delicious. Our server was also great.

Our favorite spot in Ponce Inlet. Beautiful setting overlooking intracoastal waterways with lots of fabulous boats passing by. We usually stop in from our own boat and have oysters, salad, fish of the day. Great staff and quick service. Never disappointed.

You have to try the "Parmesan smoked" oysters!! My new favorite. Great service from Justin who was fast and professional. There is a wait up to an hour on a Saturday night...but with seafood this good it's expected. The pagers worked down on the dock so we sat on the boat and like clock work were paged when our table was ready. You might see Salty Bean the cat who belongs to Mr. Stein wandering around. This was a great dinner for my friends 28th Anniversary.

A very nice bayside restaurant. The waitress are cheerful and welcoming. We ordered fish taco, shrimp taco, tuna bowl and fried calamari. The food is very fresh, juicy and delicious. The mermaid water is awesome! No strong alcohol smell/taste, but I feel it is just right when drink it.

We are on vacation here from Idaho, and were looking for a local place with great seafood, and the menu online really stood out to us for its variety and prices. It was a great choice!! Ian was our server tonight and he was awesome! He treated our family with so much respect and attentiveness and humor, as well as excellent customer service and professionalism. He even helped deescalate a situation when some drunk customers tried to cause problems with another server and then apologized to us for the disruption at the end of our meal. And last but not least, he helped dig through the trash to look for our daughter's retainer when it accidentally got thrown away in a napkin on her plate. So you probably are wondering about the food...It was excellent, fresh, and plentiful portions! There was live music, and the scenery was fun at the harbor with Christmas lights and decor, as well. The prices are reasonable & it was well worth the drive!

The Fish spread is amazing! It’s the best we’ve had. And it’s our go to appetizer when in Florida

We came here for our anniversary dinner. Our waiter, Matt was on point. He was really tentative. He was a joy to deal with. He was very pleasant. The food was GREAT. The oysters were big and tasty. The mussels were just right. BUT,,,,, that sauce on the mussels……. It was enough to make ya wanna slap your momma and take hers. It was that good.

I would definitely come back.

Down the Hatch is a fantastic treasure tucked away on the water in Ponce Inlet, FL. Literally, the end of the road, er ummmmmmmm, Water. There is indoor/outdoor dining. Indoor has A/C and is beautifully decorated with everything ocean and the beach. Huge bar stocked with anything you want. Cathedral ceilings, making it a grand affair. Nice little gift shop inside as well...

Outdoor, you dine or sit at the bar in a seaside shanty tiki bar setting. Even on the hottest days, it's nice, shaded, and cool. Industrial powered fans everywhere. They have a wicked selection of finely crafted cocktails, blended drinks, and, of course ice 🧊 cold beers 🍻 The staff is amazingly friendly, even when they're running around in a frenzy during the busy times of the day. Efficient, fast, and very cool.

The cuisine is hand-made, nice sized portions, and mouth-wateringly succulent. I'm actually starting to drool 🤤 thinking about eating some perfectly made fresh seafood and a blended tropical masterpiece right now!

Always a great time! Best food in Ponce Inlet (my opinion)! Chef changes it up with different 'specials' weekly, and it's always delicious! Great place to see boats & sunsets... on the Halifax River. Ample parking, across street from restaurant. They often have live music outside... & sometimes have a smoker going out there also! Can get crowded, so expect a wait. Enjoy!!
