Riverfront Plaza & City Dock

my family and friends were visiting Baton Rouge this past weekend,we went around the city enjoying the beautiful weather and the local events,we stopped by here to relax for a minute (i enjoyed this place in my 20's when i was a student at Southern University and A&M College),very tranquil and peaceful

Super cool walk walk even at night. Well lit. Definitely a recommended place to see the cities skyline a long with some cool busking that was going on. Short walk from the downtown area and near the cities beautiful library

Wonderful quiet place to explore! So many more things to do too! Great resting point after a 4 hour drive!

Excellent view of the Mississippi River. Went there after dinner for a walk with family and loved it. There are bikes available if you want to ride. Surprisingly it was not at all crowded and you could sit peacefully there and appreciate the view. There is a train track parallel to the river. If you are traveling to Baton Rouge, this place is a must visit.

I'm in town for only a few days but decided to come down for the relaxing walk. I'm glad I did.
Plenty to see while walking around and getting exercise at the same time. Also nice photo opportunities if you're into that kind of stuff.

When I tell you I thought New Orleans was beautiful. Waking up early summertime on a sunny day and going to to the riverfront when nobody is there yet... absolutely beautiful. At least for me. I had never been to Baton Rouge (Young boys home town😍) (cough cough) before but when I saw it I fell in love with the architect of it all.

We had a really hard time to find public parking. Finally, we got into the public parking and pay $10 dollar for half day. There is a track on the side of river which is good for quick walk and roam around riverfront. There is historical war museum as well. We could not make it because it was closed for a day. It is good place to snaps picture and spend few hours with friends and family. The cool breezes from the river also add adventure of your time.
You will definitely enjoy your time here.

Always a place of peace. Been coming here for almost all of my life. The vibe has never changed.

Rode bicycles down there. Got memorized by how breathtaking, clean and beautiful the levee, oaks, river and surroundings are. There is even a bike tool rack on the levee path provided by the city in case you have a tire issue or something. We went just before sunset after the work crowds left. Very relaxing and fun place to ride/walk.

Was a pitstop when visiting capitol building, can just have a walk and get a snap at the Sling River sculpture.

Not much happening though during a weekend morning, but was calm and pleasant with adjacent to the city’s streets.

Baton Rouge has done a really nice job making this a pedestrian and family friendly area...you can see a little bit of everything along the area from historic buildings to cool boats and some good seats and fun water works...

It's a wonderful place to be any time of the they or night to see the beautiful sights of the city

Worth seeing if you already downtown. Steps down to the river, water features, great views of the USS Kidd, and the dock are all interesting

Great sunset. Take a time to walk o ride a bike on there.

It’s so pretty at night

A nice place to visit. During the week parking can be tricky, but I came to see the Mississippi River before we have yet another hurricane rolls in this year, and the water is pretty low.
