Akers Academy

We have loved Akers Academy since our first was in the infant room there! He is now getting ready to enter PreK with our second heading into the 2 year old classroom. The staff and teachers there have been amazing and I’m amazed everyday at all the things my kiddos tell me about the adventures and experiences and learning they do daily! We love our Akers family and have utmost trust in them to take care of our babies; caring for them, playing with them, and teaching them!

This daycare and school has been absolutely incredible for my son, and our family. They have a level of care and love they put into their work and the kids that makes it so easy to drop my child off in the morning knowing he is going to have such an amazing experience filled with learning and fun! With moves over the last 5 years we’ve had the chance to be at 3 different daycare facilities in the area, and this one just hits home for us. Even after a recent move in December, we make the longer commute to this school because we love it so much. We couldn’t speak more highly of the staff and teachers!

Our sons (currently ages 3 & 4) have been attending Akers for the past 3 years. They love all of their teachers and friends at school and recently had a blast at the Valentine’s Day dance. Thank you to the Akers staff for putting together a really fun event for our little guys, they had a great time!

We love how Akers makes learning fun and exciting! Both of my kids love their teachers and staff! Everyone is so loving there, it’s like family!

We absolutely love Akers Academy. The teachers and the staff love my babies and my babies love them and are excited to go to school (at least most mornings 😉).

My daughter has been going to Akers Academy for a year and a half. She loves it there! We love all the staff there! They are always so friendly! We honestly couldn’t have picked a better daycare of our girl. She has learned so much over the past year!

All of the teachers are compassionate and fun with the children. Akers provides a secure and safe atmosphere for the children from infant to pre-k. The kitchen creates well balanced meals that are healthy and my children enjoy. My children do not mind going to school to hang out with their friends and learn. The tuition is moderately priced in comparisons in the area and they offer a discount for siblings. Leah and Marney do a great job handling the administration, as well as filling in where help is needed. The Akers family is the only daycare for our growing family.

We absolutely love all the staff at Akers Academy. Our oldest daughter has been there for 3 1/2 years and has learned so much from all the teachers. Our youngest daughter has been there for just over 6 months and has learned so much already. We can’t wait to see what she will learn along the way from the friendly staff at Akers Academy.

Akers Academy in Cumming has been a blessing for our family. We have 3 young children that currently attend Akers. Our youngest is in the infant room, and he is so loved and very well cared for. Cathy, Nalah, and Sharyn all love him as their own and celebrate every milestone he makes. He is always taken care of, plus they go above and beyond and are constantly teaching the babies and doing art with them! Although there has been some turnover in some of the classes lately, Akers is diligently working to hire the right people to take care of our little ones. Jennifer in the two year old class is amazing - very loving and patient with a class full of two year olds! My two year old loves going to school - he is constantly learning, playing, and making arts and crafts! My four year old just completed the GA Pre-K program and Alaina is hands down one of the best teachers I've ever met! She and Leslie are great, and they taught the pre-k class so much, plus they had so much fun! My four year old is excited about summer camp, and he can't wait to experience all of the fun activities and field trips that are planned! Leslie, Don, and Darlene have outdone themselves in planning fun summer and aftercare activities! The owner, Frank, is easily accessible and present at the school often - very nice guy with a huge heart. We are excited to see Marnie take the responsibilities of director - it is evident she loves the school and the families that attend there. My boys love attending Akers, and I know they are in great hands every day when I drop them off!

Highly recommend Akers Academy. My daughter just finished pre k and she had the best school year. All of the staff are WONDERFUL!

My daughter has attended Akers Academy since she was an infant. She is now almost five years old and I can honestly say that in over 4 years of leaving my daughter in their capable hands during the day, I have not had one single problem with the care provided by the excellent staff at Akers.

Everyone is exceedingly friendly, they are always willing to work with you if your schedule gets a bit muddled and the one issue I did have, a number of bounced checks through nooooo fault of my own (Big Banks should be prosecuted for each errant NSF they charge!), they not only handled but also refunded many of the fees I incurred even though they did not have to do so.

I would highly recommend Akers Academy to anyone who loves a friendly atmosphere, demands the highest level of care and attention for their little one, requires flexibility and who wishes to have their son or daughter stimulated and educated, both academically and socially, at any age.

Akers Academy in Cumming is incredible. From the day we walked in 6 years ago to tour Akers, it felt like a warm, welcoming place. I knew my family would be loved and cared for every moment. I was right! The staff is incredible and the teachers are beyond fantastic!

Akers is not a place you just drop off your child for the day and pick them up after what might be an exhausting day for you - I always felt I had an opportunity to talk to the teachers and the staff and learn about what happened that day, what is going well, what's not and bonus - learn about the teachers and become friends.

We moved a little further away right before Pre-K and ended up driving back to Akers for a year to finish the pre-k program. It was a very sad day when we left Akers. We still try to visit when we are in the area and always receive a warm welcome. I cannot say enough great things about this school. We definitely miss Akers and maybe one day we'll be able to come back.

Fantastic school! My daughter is in the Pre-k class. Ms Alaina and mrs Beth are truly outstanding ! They love what they do which makes a huge difference overall experience for my daughter. Clean and communication is great with the portal system . 2020 has been rough and tough so I give it up to them and and staff for making school even happen with us stressed out parents. Overall 5 stars with me :)

I am in love with this school. My daughter goes to the Cumming campus and the staff is simply a God send. After our terrible experience with another nearby care facility we were terrified to leave our precious toddler with anyone. However this academy has been amazing. The teachers and admins truely care about every child, they took all our fears and washed them away. My daughter is actually excited everyday to go to school. She is engaged in learning and loves her teacher miss Ashley. I couldnt be more pleased. Highly recommend this school for your kiddos.

Both of my kids have been going to Akers of the past 6 years. They started since they were 6 months and 9 months old. My kids also love being there for summer camp. They both attended GA-Prek there and we have had great teachers for them. Great daycare with a very convenient location.

I highly recommend this school. My daughter is learning so much and I’m so happy I found this place! The teachers are amazing! My daughter is having so much fun while learning and it’s only been 3 months so far. She recognizes all her alphabets and numbers. I was never able to get her to learn anytime while she was home with me. I’m so so impressed!

The front staff is warm, competent, and helpful. The ladies who watch over my toddler are extremely capable and pretty much always willing to engage in brief conversations about my daughter's day when I arrive for pick-up. The communication app is awesome and the staff knows how to use it effectively - I receive daily activity logs and am frequently sent pictures of my daughter. I am very pleased with this particular Akers location.

Ga-Pre-K program well managed, the teachers are all amazing, loving and caring. The kids are sweet and their growth in just a few months is mesmerizing! Completely recommend this daycare for the Ga-Pre-K program!!!also the very picky eater absolutely lives the meals served here and she’s enjoying veggies now!

My daughter's been Akers for over 3 years and it's been a great experience the whole way. The staff keeps me informed of everything going on with my child and address any concerns I may have.
