Great place to relax, watch the boat traffic go by. There are some historical placards and a covered area. The bike path is paved and unlike the Baton Rouge side of the river, the batture is HUGE so there's plenty of room to run and exercise or even play soccer along the actual river's edge. Great views of the skyline across the river. But be aware that unlike Baton Rouge, the park closes at night.

Love it was beautiful great pictures and was so nice watching all the boats. I appreciate all the lights because I can't see well. Took my pup and he had a great time also. Grew up here and it's always been wonderful. Got engaged up here two years ago by my wonderful husband. Couldn't have asked for a better place to get engaged at.

I walk this area everyday. The view of the Old State Capital is great. Folks fishing on the River banks brings back great memories.

Very nice bike ride. I like riding through The Oaks neighborhood, then down the length of the levee trail and back, then through Cohn neighborhood, as well as riding around Rivault Park. Parking is very easy at either Rivault Park or the old ferry landing.
