Great service here. A good selection of noodle options/customization. We had the vegetable, signature tonkotsu, shoya garlic, and the tanaka combo hokkaido ramen and all taste great! I think this is one of the best ramen we've tried so far. The hottest spice option to us was just right. It was nice sitting outside the patio.

It is definitely one of the best places in Atlanta for good taste ramen and Japanese plates. The fried pork chop rice is the most delicious one I have ever tried. Great place.

I've been here 3 times now but just getting around to writing a review.

To start off, the location of this restaurant is great- Brookhaven in a great shopping plaza. Parking close to the restaurant can be challenging depending on time & day.

The management recently changed and it's noticeable in the cleanliness of the restaurant and improvement in service.

Once you step inside, you'll see very impressive decor on the wall behind the bar. A person I came with said that it's very similar to the decorations that he sees when he goes to Japan.
It's a really spacious restaurant with lots of seating. There are 3 booths, bar seating, high top tables, and small party tables in the center.

Appetizers
- edamame: it's silly to comment on this but these were SO PLUMP !!
- Pork Gyoza: I don't like dumplings but I actually enjoyed these. The center was soft but the outer edges were crisp. The taste of these were on my mind for days after.
- Brussels sprouts: fried with tempura sauce. I'll just say right now that all of their fried menu items were fried to perfection. Sooo crispy.
- karaage: served with spicy mayo. Again, so crispy and yummy with the sauce. Take bites with the lettuce that it's served on top of and tastes so fresh.
- Takoyaki: I'm not a fan of this dish in general but I tried since it was my first time here. The insides seemed to be more chopped/grinded than usual but I actually preferred this because I don't like the texture of octopus. It made it more savory when bitten into.

Ramen
- The signature tonkotsu: the base of the soup is in their house ramen sauce and black garlic oil. It is so flavorful.
- Karashi spicy ramen: the pork chashu is so soft and juicy. This is same as the signature but blended with special fresh chili paste. You can choose from mild, medium, and spicy. I didn't choose a level, but the regular that came out had a decent amount of spice. From 1-5, maybe a 2?
The noodles were really chewy and both soups were seasoned really well.

I'll have to come back to try some of their rice dishes !

Had the signature tonkatsu, absolutely loaded with pork and I asked for it "pretty spicy" and got a deliciously mouth numbing bowl of fantastic ramen. They gyoza was kinda glued together but it tasted good too. Wife got the combo ramen, loved it.

Quick service, everyone friendly, huge portions. The curry ramen dishes were a big hit. The restaurant is spacious and they have pet friendly seating outside. Prices are reasonable.

Ordered the spicy chicken ramen. Man was it good, has lots of flavor, not to salty. The spicy level for me was great, it will clear up your sinuses pretty quick. If you are not into spicy food stick with the non spicey. For those that like the kick in there food, go with the spicey and you won't be disappointed. The crispy chicken was fried awesome, crispy on the outside and juicy/moist on the inside. The staff was super nice, only thing I noticed was that they don't check up on you at all since I got the food. But I can deal with that. Overall great place to eat.

I have a wheat allergy so I ordered the gluten free noodles for the Tonkatsu Ramen. The gluten free noodles were absolutely fantastic. They had the perfect texture and chewiness that ramen noodles should have. The broth was also very rich and flavorful. I am impressed and will be a repeat customer due to the fact that they provide the gluten free noodles option so that I do not have to bring in my own noodles.

So I've been here twice for Ramen. The Tonkotsu is BOMB, and the spicy chicken isn't far behind.

Seriously, if you want Tonkotsu, come here. They only put a couple slices of pork in it, but GOOD GOD it's good.

Also spicy chicken is almost as good. Going to try the curry noodles next.

Service is a little slow, but they have a "Now Hiring" sign up front. The service isn't bad enough to stay away. Y'all need this ramen in your life.

Very, very good! Service was fantastic and the food was excellent! We both ordered the chicken ramen (one hot and one medium) and the spice level was perfect. I love pho, but this will crush that craving for noodle soup any day. You have the option to order low sodium and less oil, which is great. I eat a good amount of food, so I ordered the chicken over rice as well. I substituted fried chicken for steamed and had teriyaki sauce. I hammered it! Atmosphere, service and food were awesome! Glad to have this place in the neighborhood and we will return soon.

So yummy! I don't usually get chicken ramen, but the spicy chicken ramen at this place is sooo good! Also the green tea latte is delicious and huge for the price. The service was quick and friendly! Definitely will be back.

Really loved the spicy ramen!!! Best I’ve had in the Atlanta area!! I got the regular chicken ramen for my son and it came with a cute little dessert with I loved lychee ice cream. The service was quick and very friendly staff. Management was approachable genuinely invested in my dining experience. I’ll be back tomorrow for the curry rice bowl. I’m happy about this place already and I’m a tough critic!

This place was great! Their staff is super friendly, patient (with all of the questions I asked prior to ordering), and so thoughtful. I had the vegetarian ramen and the broth was delicious! I’m glad it’s so close to us, because we will be back!

I had the tonkotsu ramen and my wife had the curry and both were delicious and really authentic. I've been to Japan several times and had my fair share of both ramen and curry. The food at Tanaka really made me feel like I was back in Japan. It's a little expensive but totally worth it. I highly recommend it!

Very good ramen restaurant! Me and my family come here all the time because they have a ton of good food. My family is vegetarian and there are still a lot of options. It is super laid back and nice. I recommend

Love this restaurant. Compared to Jinya, they are a little bit less flavor. Their portions are very big, and their apps are also very tasty as well. I love their Octopus Balls which I think it's the best so far in Atlanta. If you love spicy, you should ask them for more spicy powder because their spicy isn't spicy at all.

My favorite ramen joint in town! The broths are slow cooked and very flavorful. I've tried several of their ramens and not one has disappointed. They also have delicious appetizers on their menu, the tako yaki is a must try, gyoza and chicken karage are also very tasty! They even have gluten free noodles as an option. Friendly staff.
