El Toreador

Love this place! Came on a Thursday afternoon around 4:30 and got seated very quickly. Our server Wayne was extremely nice and attentive. Portions are very generous. I got a single dinner for $13 and my friends got combo dinners for $16 which is very worth it. Will be back again!

Genuinely SO good. Me and my friend spent the entire way home just absolutely raving about the food, it was that good. We live kind of far out but it genuinely was so worth it, it was THAT good.

The portions were huge, we split the 3 entree meal for $20, so each $10, and by the end we were both so full. The beef chimichanga was our favorite, the meat was so flavorful and tender, and the tortilla was so crispy even under sauce and guacamole, we were so pleasantly surprised.

The chips and salsa were also insanely good, super crispy and they gave us such generous portions and gave us two different types of salsa, all complimentary!

The service was also great, the people were super friendly and the food came out pretty fast! Would 100% recommend!

I think the key note here is they make their own tortilla chips and own hard taco shells (no old El Paso here) if you translate that to everything else they do it's a home run.

If I have to choose a favorite restaurant in the area, it is this one hands down. The food is amazing and it's difficult to choose a favorite dish (so try a combination plate!). Everything is very cheesy, so hopefully you love cheese like I do. The refried beans are fantastic to go along side any meal. This is the best horchata around (plus free refills on it!). Even better than the food here is the service. This family will make you feel right at home and really take care of you while you visit. Joyful personalities all around and very attentive to their customers. I will visit the area just for this restaurant.

A friend & I visited El Toreador last Thursday. We shared a plate of Nachos Toreador with beef instead of chicken. We each had two libations. Food & service were great!! We had much catching up to do & talked for much longer than expected. We didn't realize until 8:50 when we saw no one else seated that the restaurant closed at 8:30. The staff remaining were very gracious & we extended our apologies when we left.

My family has been coming here for years. I no longer live in Washington state, but I still make a trip to El Toreador whenever I am in town for a visit. Their food is great and the chips and salsa is amazing. They have two different homemade salsas that are the best I’ve ever had from any Mexican restaurant. I actually ordered a large amount to serve at my 30th birthday party. Thank you for the amazing food and service! I will continue coming here as long as you stay open, no matter where I live in the country!

This is our favorite Mexican food restaurant. Love their combos. We absolutely love the food and could eat there every day. Seriously. 😋

I am writing this review as I am eating my meal. What can I say? Best Mexican food in town. Better than el matador, el rinconcito...etc.
The servers are so friendly and welcoming. The food tastes sooooo good. I will come back for sure.

Recently my family and I was looking for a Mexican restaurant to eat out at and we stumbled upon El Toreador. Not only was the food high quality and delicious the portion was huge and very satisfying. We got complementary tortilla chips that was amazing as well as one free refill of soda. The next thing I want to write about are the lovely staff that were extremely welcoming and helpful when we realised that my sister had forgotten her headphones. They kindly kept them safe till we got back.The only thing I did not like was the smell when we walked it but it did seem to vanish later. Overall I highly recommend and will definitely be coming back!

The experience here is a step above right from the start. They give you fresh house made tortilla chips and two different house made salsas which are both unique. Not your typical pico or blended red / green sauce. They're presented in little carafes and you get to pour them into salsa cups yourself, so the pro-move here... make your own blend after tasting both individually!

As for the regular menu. The carne asada is as good as any I've ever had and I grew up in southern California where great Mexican food in on every other corner. I so highly recommend their cheese enchiladas (red) and the fajitas... steak or chicken - delicious either way. Frankly everything on the menu is quality. Come and enjoy some great Mexican food before another Redmond institution is stolen from us to build another gaudy condo with some more hipster kale and poke nonsense.

Amazing local Mexican restaurant here in downtown Redmond. Seems to be family owned which I love supporting and the food was great. Their chimichangas went crazyyyyyy.... And their fresh chips were really good too

I've been eating here since '03, and the food & drink never disappoint. Start with the awesome chips and salsa as the green and red are perfect. I personally go for the enchilada combo and have tried others, and the results are the same. Awesome

Affordable Mexican food in Redmond. Go here if you are craving a super hot plate of deliciousness covered in cheese. Their chips and salsa are super good, and their bar is a cozy place to watch a Mariners game.

Kind of a surprise to quality AND quantity. Fajitas were great, chips and guac was excellent. Absolutely coming back again

The food here was amazing! If you're looking for some good margaritas with really good Mexican food, this is your place to go! I got the enchilada and tamale combo plate, and might I say that it was amazing! Definitely would come back!

Love the family atmosphere here! Everyone is super friendly and you feel like home. Food is also delicious. I always enjoy the chimichanga, or a pollo con crema, but really everything on the menu is yummy. Also the nachos and the salsa are so good! Perfect for takeout or dine in.

I have been coming to El T's for over 20 years and always leave satisfied! The quality of the food is consistently top-notch and the service is warm and friendly. I love El Toreador and recommend them to everyone!

My Favorite okace to go for authentic Mexican food. The owner himself seats people, brings out the food and makes sure he greets everyone. Everything is hand made. And you can always make an adjustment request on the foods on the menu. Want it more spicy? They can do that. Want less onions in your food simply ask! They have been in Redmond for a very long time, survived the pandemic. We like to visit frequently to show our support for this wonderful establishment .
