Feb 2024: this is a good sized property and museum with over a dozen buildings. One of the barns was built ca. 1798. Come see how farm life was like in the olden times. No charge Jan-Mar. By 2:00 I think I was the only one there. I liked to see the tools and wagons. There is a smokehouse where they cured meats like my dad used to do. Very family friendly with a play area too.

We visited the Museum a few years back to shoot video for a local tourism production. The staff were very accommodating and the location was simply beautiful! We could tell by all the smiles, laughter and conversations that visitors were really enjoying their time at the museum! The goats are super cute too!

Stopped here to see Santa and spent time checking out the exhibits after. The barn amd blacksmith shop were both really neat.

Came here with my daughter for a field trip for school. We live so close but never stopped by but boy am I glad we did. I never saw the appeal but after visiting, I would visit here again. The educational tour was fantastic. The school house, the blacksmith, and the large barn were the highlights. For the kids who have no interest in the educational aspect, there is a large playground here as well. Would visit again for sure.

To say we found our Dream Venue would be an understatement. The space is BEAUTIFUL and well maintained! There are many options to have the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception (we choice the Gazebo in the Rose Garden, Barn Courtyard and Reception Barn) and so many awesome areas to take photos!

Sharon was fantastic to work with, offering advice and accommodating my family and I with all of our requests. Just such a breeze.

The value of this place for what you get is also amazing! Included with our package were places for our Bridal Party to get dressed as well as providing tables, chairs and even the options for horesehoes!

Overall, loved it and will recommend to anyone looking for a farm, rustic or country vibe. Thank you!

Went to this place for the 4th of July event. Parking was efficiently managed. A lot of food trucks, great music from a live band. A nice playground for kids, some farm animals. Volunteers were very nice. Went around the various buildings and was surprised what this place offers. Buildings have Self-guided tour exhibits, located in various barns and contain historic artifacts associated with rural farming. The displays interpretation highlights old agricultural and transportation technology. This is great for school tours for children and later generations to learn about farming history. Check their webpage for calendar of events. Oh, and the fireworks for the 4th is wonderful.

This place is very interesting. Got here at 3:00 when the farmhouse tour was going on.

The grounds had plenty of exhibits. Kids would love this place!

Free during the winter@

We were having our car serviced in Westminster and wanted something fun to do while we waited. So we searched for a nearby place to visit and decided to visit the Carroll County Farm Museum. It turned out to be much larger and had more exhibits than we imagined. My wife grew up on a dairy farm so seeing how farming was done in the 1800's was quite interesting for both of us. We spoke to and got a great tour from Scott the curator. Thank you, Scott! All said it was a wonderful place to spend a few hours on a gorgeous day!

On a very beautiful day ( low humidity, mid 70 s), we visited the museum for the first time. My 3 year old daughter loved the playground and wooden play train. We both enjoyed the beautiful, relaxing grounds and had a short tour detailing the farm's history. We spent 3 hours here and would have stayed longer if not for closing at 4 pm. Definitely recommend, especially with young children!

I went to the last hour of the Food Truck Sunday Funday. I had a delicious Crab cake sandwich with Cole slaw on the side. Music there by a group whose name I've forgotten, was pretty good.

Great hospitality and opportunity to see ways this community cared for those in need. The museum is actually a charity center.

My first ever wine festival. Won't be my last. A nice outdoor venue with an good range of wines, great foods and nice picnic facilitiesavailable. An amazing sized crowd, butndis not feel crowded because of all the space.

Beautiful location for a wedding, with several picturesque areas for the ceremony, and several reception areas to accommodate both smaller and larger weddings.

There a multiple buildings around the farm museum that offer fantastic photo opportunities, and there are barnyard animals and a small playground to keep the kids busy.

Best place in Carroll County for a visit. Peaceful outdoor museum space with multiple barn buildings housing exhibits. Real historic almshouse houses main museum attractions that change with the season. Strongly recommend visiting during the holidays to see the house decorated. Live animals, garden exhibit, children's playground, and walking paths through the forest keep you occupied. Best event must be the annual steam engine show in the fall, but the blacksmith days is also not to be missed. More fun than the local fair nowadays.
