Highland coffee is a classic LSU study space. They have great and relatively inexpensive coffee and a very pretty dog friendly patio! The owner is nice and they hire lots of students!

Great hangout spot near the campus. The coffee is great and the atmosphere is laid back. The decors are pretty nice too! They have a discounted refill offer for the coffee ordered while dinner in. The options for baked goods are plenty.

I was visiting my friend at LSU for work filled spring break. He lives next to this this and this place became my daily office desk!! Was fun to work from here! Got so much done…

I spent probably 100+ hours studying for a professional certification here. I love the frozen white chocolate coffee, the cheesecake…but most of all the crowd and the vibe at Highland. It’s an awesome place to get away and focus for a couple of hours. 10/10 would recommend.

Epic coffee spot!

Well worth a quick detour off I-10.

Elise was super friendly, the cortado was delicious, and the mocha from the margarita machine was unexpectedly satisfying.

Only popped in for a bit but the vibe/aesthetic were laid back. Nice blend of people working/studying/reading.

My grandfather took me to this coffee shop since I was a kid - he was also a beloved professor at LSU, unfortunately recently passed.

This coffee shop is always bustling with studying students, but also people of all walks of life conversing over a cup of coffee. The people that work here are very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the coffee roasts that they have here.

The Italian Blend is far superior to use as a personal espresso blend, in my opinion, but you truly can’t lose with any of their roasts. This place will always been near and dear to my heart. Highly recommend going to Chimes nearby, as well as just taking a walk through LSU campus with a cup of coffee.

Haven't had the chance to buy coffee there but I will when I have a can. I stopped by to buy coffee beans .they have beans roasted within the last couple days and it's fairly priced. Will definitely come back when I need more.

An amazing place: great coffee, friendly staff, quite (perfect to study and work while enjoying coffee), comfortable room temperature (vs freezing at most other places), clean, a lot of seating places indoors and outdoors in a small banana trees garden. They are very artistic, add picture to every cup. Great choice of teas as well. And it is very popular.

Whether you’re looking for a cozy spot to read a book, spot to meet friends, a quiet area to study or just a really excellent cup of coffee, highland coffees is the place to be. In addition to coffee, delicious treats and sandwiches, they have art made by local artists for sale and a beautiful courtyard with plants and shade. Highland checks all the boxes: They’re conveniently located, the staff knows a lot about coffee, and they have internet.

Fabulous coffee! I got a decaf vanilla iced latte & it was perfect!! Not too sweet, creamy, delicious! The chocolate muffin was also excellent -- very soft.
The staff is very friendly & helpful. There are lots of seating choices and wifi. I really enjoyed my time there. 😊

Love Love Love this place. Staff is friendly and accommodating. I always get a large dark 3 shot iced americano with a splash of oat milk. Best coffee in the city.

Highland coffee provided excellent service and delicious coffee. On top of that their pastries are to die for. I definitely recommend this coffee place to everyone in Baton Rouge. If you're a non-sweet aficionado, like myself, you should definitely try the French Vanilla Iced Coffee. You're welcome!

atmosphere is amazing and the products are relatively inexpensive while still being high quality. A medium coffee and a muffin only ran me about $8 and both were great. the free wifi is fast even with the building at full capacity and to top it all off the staff is extremely friendly. will definitely be coming back.

I didn't have any food, but their latte was fantastic. I spent 8 years around Vanderbilt campus in Nashville where they took coffee very seriously. I'd been missing good coffee and Highland definitely scratched that itch. At a good price too.

The baristas were very friendly. They frothed whole Kleinpeter milk without me asking which was my preference.

Service is beyond good. If you don't like your drink they will make a new one but similiar. They have free water and are always verg kind and welcoming. Great atmosphere. Pastries are super sweat and moist. Aren'r very good in the afternoom becausw i think they make them in the morning.

I think to note is that they are usually crowded.

Great coffee shop! It's huge inside with a lot of different seating options. Very low key ambiance with classical music playing in the background. I'm a fan of their flavored (unsweetened) iced coffees. Great place to study or just relax.

Well, I am biased since I worked here 14 years ago... but it's such a great atmosphere and the coffee, teas and foods are really delicious. So many teas to choose from, so many coffees roasted onsite. Fresh ground coffees, granita, espresso drinks, blended drinks, muffins, cakes and other sweets, bagels and croissants... everything I've ever had is really great. Owned by a local who is on site every day to make sure everything is running smooth. Always interesting art to see (rotated frequently to give local artists exposure), delicious desserts (made by local bakers), interesting articles to read (sit in the comfy chairs and fall asleep), and certainly always interesting conversations to have with the variety of patrons. A staple for Baton Rouge as much as the Chimes or LSU itself, you owe it to yourself to drop by and give it a whirl. Grab a cup before or after you go to the Chimes or Louie's. They're open late!
