Great place for any bike-related thing. People there are kind and supportive. I had a problem with my disk brakes and thought that it's gonna take a long time fix it, but the staff there helped me to solve this issue for a few minutes! I would strongly recommend this shop for anyone.

Pleasant it is to encounter old school customers service. I’m headed there again today. Due to the alarming and rising rate of car break ins. I have another flat tire. The broken glass scattered about, is a detriment.

My bike knowledge is very limited, but I wanted to surprise my bf with new handlebars for his birthday! I called the day before I went in and Eric was very friendly. I brought the bike in the next day and he installed the new bullhorn handlebars along with the grip tape. Both Eric and Matt made my experience at Mike’s very easy and I’m glad I was able to support a local business while I was at it. Hope I got the right handlebars 😂

Eric at Mike's Bikes is a bike Wizard. I was having issues with my alignment of my single speed mountain bike and he problem solved and fixed it in no time. I would trust them with all my bike needs.

I've watched as Matt & Eric have grown from a VERY small, obscure shop to possibly THE #1 bike shop in the St. Louis area. Have you been there since they've expanded and added the floor above? WOW!

What stands out is those two seldom heard words today..."CUSTOMER SERVICE"! They performed a complete overhaul on my touring bike which entails stripping down the bike to its individual parts & fully cleaning in their ultrasonic cleaner. That bike had been to hell & back. But when I got it back, it looked BRAND NEW again. I'll post a pic of the rear cassette & derailleur.

Take a look if you want to the few one & two star reviews. People expecting something for nothing. Or those who expect free loaner tools, etc. Not gonna happen. These guys didn't go from very small to very large by chance or pure dumb luck. They did it the old fashioned way...THEY EARNED IT!

Nice experience, when there without appt and dropped off the bikes for a tune up, picked them up a few days later and took the for a ride around Forest park over the weekend. They feel great, appreciate the work they put on them! Totally recommended, might be back for some accessories. Go and check it out, they also sell and rent bikes, in case you have some friends and in town and want to show them the park.

I absolutely would recommend Mike's Bikes to anyone needing work on their bike in STL. I have had an unprecedented number of fixes required as I use my bike to commute and they've always helped me with a fast turnaround and incredibly reasonable pricing. The guys that work in the shop are also very friendly and welcoming. I'm sure I'll be back in the shop soon, but so should you if you need any help with bikes

I thought this was a really honest bike shop. They did not try to upsell me anything, but helped me with what I needed. Both Eric and Matt were very helpful and nice. I will definitely be bringing my bikes here in the future.

The guys at the shop do a great job, very professional. Got a much needed tune-up which needed further tweaking afterwards (internal hub)...they were responsive and got it fixed right away. Definitely recommend them for bike work.

I went to mikes bikes today and they saw that I brought my bike in for truing both wheels and fixing a spoke. They don’t normally do repairs like these on weekends, but the mechanic there still did it for me. The price for their services were very affordable. I’m a grad student, and I would definitely go there again for a tune-up/repair. The guys there were friendly and took the time to explain the mechanics behind my bike issues.

Wow! Fixed my bike within a day, and when another part loosened I had it fixed in fifteen minutes! Paid less than I expected to, and on top of that not one bit of rudeness or condescension when I didn't know something! Almost perfect, only thing wrong with it is how hard it is to find from the street. It's in a grey building :)

I have always experienced friendly and helpful service at Mike's Bikes! On my first visit, an employee spent time helping me get a feel for different bike sizes even though I told him I was planning to buy a bike online.

Since then I have returned several times to purchase accessories, to get my new bike tuned up, and ultimately to buy a bike for my husband to be able to ride with me. Each time, the employees have answered my questions thoroughly.

As a relatively new rider, I have detected zero snobbery from anyone I've dealt with. Highly recommend this place!

Mike's Bikes were super helpful. I took a very old bike in for a tune up and it felt like a brand new bike when they were done. They also went above and beyond exploring new bike options best suited for my needs even though they knew I wasn't in the market that day. I appreciate their professionalism and expertise. I will be returning this spring when I'm ready for my new ride.

Brought my Heybike Mars and Lectric XP 2.0 to get the brakes adjusted and tires changed and they were super helpful. I brought it in Tuesday evening and got it back Wednesday morning. Reasonable price as well!

A great store that doesn't feel pretentious and has a wide variety of bikes, both used and new, in various price ranges. Eric was very helpful and patient in adjusting and getting bikes down for me to ride. I'm new to the world of bikes and wasn't sure what I would like, he made good suggestions and I finally decided on a white single speed SE bike that looks gorgeous and is perfect for commuting and cruising around. It's price was 330.00 which is about the same as most online prices; some around 300.00 but they don't come assembled so the extra 30 is well worth it. A couple of other friendly employees put a mount for the U-lock I bought on as well and wrapped my handles for me beautifully. I'm very happy with my experience and will definitely be back!

Very friendly and fair. Movers had taken bikes apart and they didn't really feel right when we put them back together. Brought them by Mike's bikes and they were able to help us out super fast and didn't charge a thing. Ended up leaving my bike for a tune up including redoing the gears and the price was completely fair.

Very friendly and helpful service.. I had a question about a bottom bracket (as they are a bit confusing with all the different specs that I guess are needed to purchase one: chainline, asymmetrical vs symmetrical, etc. ) and all was thankfully simplified by these guys..

The absolute BEST bike shop in the city. Not the cheapest, but I haven't once gone in and not been glad I did (and their products are worth the price). Always happy to lend their expertise, and just today their mechanic saved our family bike trip by fixing my chain at no charge.
